Nonybb: When Ojukwu was championing the course of Biafra he never got to insult anyone. But his supposedly incarnate, Nnamdi Kanu, is full of invectives of an astronomical proportion. Insults upon insults looks childish. Diplomacy is the key to activism and Nnamdi needed to be schooled in that department. 80% of Igbos sees him as a tout including myself and Biafra can never happen with the way he is going about it. Any Igbo that advocates for Biafra is a coward. Let us stand together and fight and stake our claim in Nigeria and collectively rescue it from our political oppressors which are the Gambarians-Born-To-Rule mentalist engineered and ressurected by Buhari with his Northocracy Agenda of Igbo political attrition But una just finish Igbo indirect rulocrary agenda nah. After all una no vote am. |

WombRaiders: Where is the money coming from? Is it from CBN or the external reserves?
Why squander our little forex to bailout corrupt governors?
This same governors cornered liquidity from the commercial banks which they squandere with nothing to show for and now we have to dip into our forex to bail them out?
Forex that investors and businesses require which the CBN can not supply all because one fool distributed it back to corrupt governors who sponsored his campaign. The fool is he that does not realise the suffering of the workers who had to live with their families without their wages. AT least the kicked out the stupppid government headed by fooools who do not think corruption is stealing of public funds. That fooliish government is extinct and its fooolish supporters should wail for so long. The Civil Servants who will receive their salaries from the LNG dividend that has being going to private pockets of the past government know that all those supporting the immidiate past government are foooolssss. aljharem: How much is the limit the executive (in this case the president) power can disburse without the senate approval ?
I mean there must be a limit right ? Unfortunately for you there is non. The loan is a soft loan that the CBN will deduct at the agreed rate between the state and federal government. Mind you section 164 of the Constitution allows such deduction of grant in aid from the Consolidate Account in the interest of National well being. Which well being pass make them pay those civil servant their salary. Mind also the LNG Dividend is money the states are entitled to. I think the bigger picture is for all and sundry to work with the new government in finding out where the money went in the first place and ensure conviction of the thieves and reparation to the state of the stolen funds. |
Politics › Re: Buhari's Bailout To The States Without Senate Approval by bakila: 11:13pm On Jul 12, 2015 |
aljharem: I don't understand sir, so are you saying all the money that have accrued over the years in past governments may not have passed through the senate ?
I mean why do the ex-president do it anyway even if it is not a requirement.
Explain sir because I am now confused Let me try on his behalf. The Loan or grant in aid is covered by section 164 of the Constitution. The Provision does not require the President to seek approval of the National Assembly. The Grant can be made on an existing Law made by the NASS. The Debt Management Office Act and the RMAFC Act enable such transaction between the federal government and state governments. So the Law is subject to an Act not the approval or confirmation of the National Assembly. |

obayaya: If INEC didn't release voters register to RSIEC, what did RSIEC use to conduct the election.. Another Illegality..
The issue of compliance with Rivers State Laws lies within the Jurisdiction of the High Court of Rivers State or the Local Government Election Tribunal.
The court of Appeal hasn't ruled against the court in the matter of Jurisdiction. Even if it does, the Court won't strike out the case. it'll rather transfer it to the state high court.
Why did the Judge not do that. At least we all know that the Judges read the processes in the chambers before hearing counsel in court.
The court adjourned and asked all parties to maintain "status quo ante" pending the conclusion of the jurisdiction suit. But RSIEC disobeyed the court.
I agree with you that the only reason PDP went to court was to stall the election. And they achieved it with the help of APC's jurisdiction suit.
If APC had pursued a quick resolution of the case, maybe the court would've ruled in their favour.
Wike don't need the court right now.. By Monday, the policemen will leave the LG councils Did Wike told you that or you are his Assistant on publicity. |

obayaya: PDP did not approach the Court to stop RSIEC but to stop INEC from releasing the Voters Register to RSIEC (I hope this answers your jurisdiction question). APC quickly challenged the court's jurisdiction in the court of appeal to stall the case.
The court ruled that the "Status quo ante" be maintained. A rule RSIEC disobeyed thereby making the whole election illegal.
Even if the Federal High Court doesn't have jurisdiction, that's not enough reason for RSIEC to disobey the court. Why didnt the Federal High Court strike out the matter when the Jurisdiction of the Court was challenged? Any person concerned with such matters know that the purpose of going to that Court is the order to maintain the "status que ante bellum". The Judge ought to had refrained going deeply into a matter it has no Jurisdiction. Anyways Wike should approach the Federal High Court again. |
