The president should not get involved in such matters in keeping with the belonging to no one doctrine. Is he an expert on Islamic studies? On what basis can he pronounce on education curricula whether on Islam or Mathematics? This is an area of TECHNICAL expertise and should be left to experts .Once politicians become involved it becomes politicized. Imagine if a history book starts talking of atrocities against Biafra etc and a president says it should be adopted. There is presumably a process through which books are adopted for curricula.Politicians should not be involved.

This will not help you guys. Islamic studies is taught all over northern Nigeria. It is a paper in WAEC and JAMB, like Christian Religious Knowledge. What was suggested is that the Books be included in the curriculum that is already in existence.
