From my little knowledge of accounting, you don't delete entries. If a wrong entry is made, you correct it by reversing it i.e. if you wrongly credit an account with X amount of money you reverse it by debiting the account with the same amount of money, thats how its done. His account statement should reflect both entries but in this case the entries were deleted totally.
