there are so many genuine reasons on why the lost the match:
1) the ref did not want us to get into that match because if we had gotten a goal even at 3-0 down the outcome wont be the same.

the problem is not with the 4-4-2 formation, but with the kind of players available. You need the right players for that formation.

As far as i am concerned carrick is not a holding midfielder and that is where smith comes.
