SaintUlot: Count your loss, crypto is a two-edged sword, it can make or destroy you, but those promoting it ll only tell you the good side. I have been a crypto enthusiast for over 4 years now. With crypto, u can be a rich man in the morning and become a pauper in the evening. So let's correct this notion, there are Ponzi schemes and there are tokens with real life use cases, some of which backed up by institutional investors even in the US. If you've bought any of the top ten coins say Ripple, Bitcoin, Litecoin etc since 2014, you will come here and be displaying your networth because you will always have a positive return, atleast you check the charts for yourself. Hodlers are the smartest kind of investors cos everyone is looking for instant gratification. Anyone that has the patience to wait for 5 years should consider getting some cryptos to their portfolio. The aim is to diversify. If on the other hand, you've dabbled into shady ICOs, Ponzi schemes, HYIPs, since 2014, your case will definitely be different. |

benergy: Hello fellow investors,
I requested to invest in secondary treasury bill the sum of N2,000,000 at a discount rate of 11% for 182days. I had a total bank balance of N2,014,139.32 and was expecting a yield of 12.359% from my calculations. I got debited and what was left in my account was N121, 243.43 as balance if I remove processing fees of N2594.52.
My challenge is that over N14k is not been accounted for which the bank did not give me. Because my calculations showed that I should be having about N135,134 in my bank balance.
Pls experts in the house, kindly help me calculate, perhaps I may be wrong. But I feel my bank is trying to rip me off. At 11%, you're having 0.11 * 2m * 182/365 = 110k 110k+14139 =124139 124139 - 2594 (processing fee) = 121545 So it's close enough. |

bendo75: Thank you. In the past some of us have gently reminded these folks not to reveal their financial status here because 1. they open themselves up to attacks from criminals who are all over social media profiling and we don’t want that 2. it is immaterial to the discussion here and very toxic as folks start fighting over who is richer 3. As a behavioral therapist , I would say it’s a sign of interior emptiness and poverty of mind.
In 2012, Feelamong started this thread and I have never seen him and many other mature minds in this sub reveal or fight over how much they have.
You see what irritates me is that when noobs come here to learn, to ask questions about NTB like I did many years ago, we tell them go read the 1st 10 pages yet we waste time bragging about our net worth. How does that help those noobs coming here to learn about NTB.
The event of Mt.Gox Hack in 2014 or others are there to teach us never to reveal our financial information on social media. If you have lots of money in your bank accounts, don’t tell the public, get yourself a token(soft or hard) for large withdrawals. And if you have lots of BTC and alts, don’t tell the public, buy a hard wallet like Ledger NanoS and store all your coins on it. Don’t leave a lot of your coins on exchanges.
I hope I have not offended anyone here but if I have, I apologize. Let’s get back to the spirit of Feelamong, the founding father of this great family. Peace . You're a good man. Thank you. Lol, somehow I like to think that what some people do online (in respect of showing off their networth) is probably what they'd do while having drinks with friends, not that it makes it safer to do it anyway. Well, we can't really tell anyone what or what not to say online, as I assume we're all adults. I totally agree with the points about not derailing the thread. |

magicminister: Why does the largest black nation on earth have a white coaches for both male and female team? There is absolutely no reason for us to hire foreign coach and even when we do, let it be a black person.
Let’s support our local coaches. Some of them have done well but the NFF will never treat them as well as the white coaches. Shame on NFF I feel absolutely disgusted by the fact that even for the Falcons we employed a foreign coach. I don't think a local coach would do any worse than the round of 16 tbh. You would even expect the girls to play well due to supposed foreign expertise but their football is is just abysmal. |

sureteeboy: Exactly. This team is shockingly poor. They boot the ball to safety everytime they get it. But some guys here let sentimentalism becloud their sense of fair judgment. See them blaming Referee and VAR. Did we score a clean goal and VAR canceled it? Should we have won a penalty that VAR overlooked? Ain't surprised though. Humans generally have the tendency to blame someone else for their misfortunes |
