LOL.......I keep my investments in gold....helps me sleep better at night....good luck with your crypto.....I heard just one tweet from Elon musk rob it of gains the other day.....have fun swinging on the high and lows of crypto currencies.
It's easy to criticise what you don't know. Educate yourself first, and I can tell if your criticisms are from a position of knowledge or ignorance.

Villagers in Congo recently discovered gold. While gold is better than fiat as a store of value, it does not have a true hardcap as there may be more gold deposits even in Mars.

Non volatile fiat that erodes value vs volatile asset that preserves value. People will make their choice eventually.

There's a growing list of institutional investors (mass mutuals, pension funds, banks) that are turning to btc over gold.

Do you think you have more information than these companies?

For the past 10 years, btc has outperformed gold.

I expect you to talk from a position of knowledge and that can only happen when you've truly educated yourself. Motley Fool, JP Morgan and some others were doubters, now they're believers.

Do whatever makes you sleep well, see you at the top!

no it doesn't.....all it does is move your debt and burden your currency.....if the Naira defaults it can always be traded against the goods and services run within Nigeria.....if bitcoin defaults that debt comes on the Naira(if you traded in Naira) which will in turn weaken the Naira.....a burden you and I will have to bear through price increase in various goods and services.....it's price is based on nothing but speculation as no government backs it......even China haSea come against it......but they are developing their own which will stand as a legal tender.....when that happens what do you think will happen to bitcoin holders in their country?
All fiat currencies are inflationary in nature, true or false? Do you care to know that around 22% of the circulating USD were printed last year? Fiats are nothing but toilet tissue lol. N100 from 20 years ago, cannot buy the same thing in 2021. The only thing is that some fiats have more value than the others. Bitcoin particularly was created to address this. 0.1 bitcoin 10 years ago can buy more things in 2021 than it could buy in 2011. Oh by the way, you cannot print more bitcoin grin All bitcoin is doing is revealing the flaws of legacy financial systems. It's not the source of their problems lol. Research about disruptive technologies.

About bitcoin defaulting, I don't even know what that means, but bitcoin is usually denominated in the usd and not the naira.

Yes, no government backs it. It's money made for you and I. Bitcoin is unconfiscatable, uncensorable and uninflatable, so no government can devalue your bitcoin, seize your bitcoin or tell you not to use it. Bitcoin bans governments, governments don't ban bitcoin.

China has the biggest mining rigs in the world lol, please educate yourself oh. As at last year, 65% of the global bitcoin hash rate was concentrated in China.
Hash rate is a measure of the power of the computers linked to the Bitcoin network, which determines their ability to produce new coins.

Lol isn't it ironical that central banks around the world are planning to create their own central Bank digital currencies (CBDCs) grin?

Please do your research oh.

truthfulparrot:
Cryptocurrency started as a good idea until Casino speculators and Ponzi manipulators started taking advantage of the fact that the scheme is largely unregulated to cash out big time.

Please how is crypto different from stocks that is largely centralised and can be manipulated? I hope you're not oblivious of recent events surrounding AMC and GME stocks. Yes, stocks is largely rigged as well. Oh by the way, bitcoin is truly decentralised.

Cryptocurrency is now the beautiful bride of money launderers and drug racketeers. Proceeds of criminal and illegal activities running into billions of dollars are passing through the cryptocurrency schems without being detected.

There is nothing new under the sun. Any money instrument can be used for this purpose. Next.

International business entities and billionaires started embracing cryptocurrency in other to envade tax. Developed countries like US, Britain and China had no choice than to join the bandwagon to the detriment of the economy of poor countries. But I am sure that these countries will soon ban cryptocurrency. THE CRASH OF CRYPTOCURRENCY IS IMMINENT.

You seem to demonise cryptos so much that your basis of large corps getting into the crypto space is extremely flawed. Microstrategy, Tesla, Grayscale and Square all have bitcoin as a corporate treasury. You think the SEC in the US are not aware of these moves? Lol your argument is weak. I don't know how rich you are but if the richest man in the world is buying bitcoin, you should have a rethink about the poor financial decisions you've made in the past.

The fact is Cryptocurrency is international version of MMM. It is highly erratic and unpredictable.
Cryptocurrency will cause great damage to emerging economies like India and Nigeria.
No doubt, cryptocurrency is the currency of the future only if a new world order can be achieved.

"A ponzi is presented as a non-existent enterprise fostering the payment of quick returns to the first investors from money invested by later investors." I'm actually here to educate you and not throw cheap shots. I'm a bitcoin maximalist. Bitcoin is built on a decentralised and distributed public ledger. This means no one person controls bitcoin. Basically it is seen as a digital form of gold to hedge against inflation. So if you don't get any thing from my spiel, bitcoin is the best performing store to value in the past decade. It's market cap currently at $871 trillion has surpassed Facebook, Tesla and JP Morgan. Banks in the Western world like BNY Mellon are planning to be crypto custodians. Other companies like Visa, Mastercard, Apple, Facebook etc have adopted/planning to adopt cryptos one way or the other.
About being highly volatile, there are stable coins like USDC that can serve as a suitable medium of exchange and unit of account so that argument again is weak.
I'm a millennial and if you're one too, please try and educate yourself and not sound like our senators.

Oluromantic:
What I see is incompatibility. I say so because what he did was wrong and your reaction also was mean. See lemme tell you one secret. When your partner does some extremely annoying things, it always wise not to obey your instinct of revenge because at long last, people won't see his wrong but blame you for your extreme reaction. That's the formula most men use to avoid physical abuse of their women.

You shouldn't have cut the call on him. And from the story, you seem to have had him in mind over his lack of support in previous times which was what pushed you to react that way, because if that wasn't the case, your conscience would strike you to call back and apologize for hanging up on him...that's the normal thing when in love.

Besides, waiting a whole week to call him back, truth be told, you seem to be emotionally stable than him and you're using it as strength against him. He seem more emotional, that's why he wanted to year you say something affectionate about taking his little offer of support for the car. If you had joked about it and gave him a tender feeling that you'll take his offer, that would have puffed up his masculinity and he'll feel honored. You need to study his psychic to know what response will soothe him.

You both need to open up to each other more. That issue of asking him for money because you have been the one supporting him was probably presented as a sudden rise of intelligence which he's not been used to from you. You shouldn't have presented it like "I can't afford it, I need your help". It would have been better if you had presented it like "I can afford it but I want ur support so I can remember you and brag of you" Not like a revenge strategy now but like I want your influence and aura in my things. That will not only make you wify but will also make him feel you believe in him. Wish I could advice you privately
Omg you're full of wisdom. Thank you so much for this.

FL' s team is too naive to face an experienced Athleti side. I'm a Chelsea fan and I don't see us getting through except through a tactical brilliance from FL. Travel › Re: Should I Marry Here Or When I Travel Overseas? by Bamz(m): 6:14pm On Dec 09, 2020
hector:
I am 32. I am planning to move overseas- America, Canada, Europe or Australia in that order. But I'm seriously considering settling down before I turn 35 or at most 35. My problem right now is having to decide if getting married before i travel will be a better idea considering how uncertain things might be for a new immigrant.

I can be skeptical towards ladies, very selective and reserved. So I want to hear your suggestions please..
Um, I can relate to what you're saying but life is not a straight line graph and I was thinking like you too but I think you should not force things.

“Putting things off is the biggest waste of life: it snatches away each day as it comes, and denies us the present by promising the future. The greatest obstacle to living is expectancy, which hangs upon tomorrow and loses today. You are arranging what lies in Fortune’s control, and abandoning what lies in yours. What are you looking at? To what goal are you straining? The whole future lies in uncertainty: live immediately.”
Seneca

Tomorrow is not guaranteed. Its good to make plans, and while you're at that, know that there WILL be things beyond your control. It's good to seize the day.

Marriage and traveling are not mutually exclusive events. People have had bad experiences marrying abroad, and likewise marrying here so that's out of the way.

So how's this exactly going to work out, you see a girl you like and you don't fall in love or you avoid girls completely? Are all Nigerian girls completely disloyal and uncouth? Are all foreign ladies devoid of misdemeanours?

I think in the end, you'll do what's most comfortable for you.

PS. If spending for marriage is a concern, it's not even a thing, lol, a court wedding settles this.

PPS. A wife meant for you will drive you in the direction of your dreams in the end

Hello guys,

So I was thinking of switching from Samsung to Xiaomi. I almost made up on Note 9 pro until I figured out I would prefer a less bigger screen and one with Super Amoled.

My current Samsung is a 5.5 inch with 1080 x 1920 pixels, 16:9 ratio (~401 ppi density), Super Amoled. I would prefer a new device definitely better than these but not too big.

Is there a noticeable difference between Amoled vs LCD in the Note 9 or I should just consider phones like Mi Note 10 lite instead? (Ps. I use blue cut glasses)

Yeah, truth is, I have never bought any phones once in my life because of camera quality o. I'm all in for the software features, RAM and ROM, then good battery . What of the dual app also, like having two same apps on phone without using multiple application?

Although Redmi cameras are dope with different adjustments which I like too.

Sorry for the quote.
But if you use Redmi Phones, I'm not sure you would want to use any other android devices!!!

I have tested major Redmi devices. From Redmi Note 7, Note 8 pro ( with the latest MIUI 12, damn, what a software update, no other phones has ever matched that!!!)

What of the SECOND SPACE function? It's like two phones in one!!!

And I just got myself the latest Redmi note 9 Pro at 112K this week.
( I'm eagerly waiting for the MIUI 12 update release by 21 September this year, as I like the floating window and control center it offers and lots more)

All I'm saying is, if you can, get a Redmi phone, I bet you, you won't use another android phone again!!
Wow, this is quite insightful.

I'm contemplating moving to Redmi primarily because of the Second Space feature and your post couldn't have come at a better time. From experience with Redmi 7, I know how it works.

I'm a Samsung person and I currently use a the J7 Pro, do you think I would have a lot of adjusting to do should I change to Note 9?.

I understand I would be up getting an upgrade on battery life, storage, memory and camera. Do you actually think Redmi camera is better than Samsung cameras using the Note 9 as an example.

Please talk about the battery life too
