I can already see who we'll play in the next round if we come second. It's fate. We'll play Barcelona.

Song would have been better, as well as much, much faster. He also won't try to trap the ball with his chest.

Gil's best days are apparently over - he played an international recently, so he's definitely match fit.

Eboue's dramatics are beginning to cost us when the proper decisions no longer come our way.

Eddie didn't track back, and he exposed Traore - who I felt played quite well

Nick will soon replace Adebayor, the guy's creativity was without peer.

The ref was a bit of a muppet.

It's amazing how people say we're arrogant. Imagine if the guy had made that sort of statement on the scummy thread, by now they'd be telling him how he speaks from his backside, and discussing the finer parts of his mother's Instruments.

Sigh.

Hahaha. ANd last season? No win for Chelski at Arsenal. By the way, how about the 10 seasons before 2004/2005?

Actually last season Fat Frank scored 21 goals in ALL competetions. Christiano Ronaldo scored 23.

Oliver Rolf Kahn born 15 June 1969
Jens Lehmann born November 10, 1969

Sure Lehman is older.

By the way, the highest scoring midfielder last season was C.Ronaldo. This season so far it's Fab 4

Eldee, the fact is that England isn't doing enough to create local talent. In france, you have about 4 national football centres around Paris alone. The clubsides go to these national centres to recruit. So you have 8 year olds who have already been put through their paces by coaches, and already posses talent that an englishman begins to dream about when he's 8. It's not up to the clubsides to create talent, it's up to the clubs to groom talent. Platini is having a laugh by saying what he says, in my opinion, he's only upset because the premier league ends up attracting the best talent at the expense of the other european domestic leagues (which includes france)

MC, but they also come in here all the time to taunt us. All's fair game in my opinion.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 1:30pm On Nov 27, 2007
I think the scum thread is totally classless and senseless.

Actually the thread is okay, but some people on the thread are simply, amazing.

Unfortunately, we must let those people be, as the elders tell us: When you argue with a madman, you must needs reduce yourself to the level of the madman.

Anyway, Day14 of the league, and who's on top, three points ahead of the bunch, with a game in hand!!!

ARRRSENNNNAAAAAAL!!!

Toba, a certain football team is very well known for all sorts of provocative play. They tread on your foot, elbow you, tug your shirt, and do all sorts of dirty tricks. If you retaliate, you get booked, or banned.

Just keep a cool head.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 10:41am On Nov 27, 2007
The whole thing is a plot to weaken the Premiership. They want the premiership to be come like the French premier division. They also want Arsene to come back to france and coach a local team.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Banderas(m): 6:12pm On Nov 24, 2007
But Debo, what happened? Bolton (and Wigan) are two of the lowest teams in the table, how come ManU with the most dynamic strike force in the premiership couldn't beat lowly Bolton? How did Anelka take out the defensive trio of Vidic the Violent and Ferdinand the Fierce? What happened?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Banderas(m): 5:59pm On Nov 24, 2007
Waaaiiit, did ManU, the MIGHTY ManU just lose to bottom padding Bolton? Is that possible? Where were Ronaldo, Tevez and co? Anderson??

Is there still any gooner who feels Willie Gallas shouldn't be captain?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 5:53pm On Nov 24, 2007
Right, I think it's time to bring Anelka back home. His work for Bolton is done.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 6:08pm On Nov 23, 2007
Erikson is the bomb. Very gritty and epic. Do you also know Robert Jordan? He had some quality as well. I also recommend JV Jones, Greg Keyes and R. Scott Bakker.

Arsenal's not on sky or Setanta this weekend then? I hope sopcast works,

SportsRe: Will FA Sack Macca? by Banderas(m): 12:31pm On Nov 23, 2007
Men, Mourinho can NOT handle that job, truth be told. Unless of course the FA gives him £200 million to go shopping,

Scolari of Hiddink are the men for the job
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by Banderas(m): 4:33pm On Nov 22, 2007
But that WAS a weird game. Croatia had nothing to gain, why did they play so desperately? Did anyone notice how Gareth Barry, England's man of the match over the last 2 matches was played out of the game by Edu and the other two guys up front?

A-40, I think Gerrard has played a few good games for England - the one against Trinidad in the world cup for example. He also scored a brace against Andorra, though that is perhaps not such a big deal

SportsRe: Will FA Sack Macca? by Banderas(m): 11:29am On Nov 22, 2007
Chuck - apparently the english media had claimed that not a single croatian player would make the english team. They definitely had a point to prove for sure.

Wayne Bridge for me was the very worst player on the field. And Sol Campbell was like an elephant, lumbering after Eduardo. A skilled elephant, but still an elephant.
SportsRe: Fabregas Vs Ronaldo by Banderas(m): 11:09am On Nov 22, 2007
I tell you what guys, imagine a team with both Cesc and C.Ronaldo playing! Dynamite!!
SportsRe: Will FA Sack Macca? by Banderas(m): 11:04am On Nov 22, 2007
but let's be honest, Gerrard was poo yesterday, so was lamps. Joe cole was a joke and Richards was nonexistent for most of the game, just like SWP. Only Gerrard, Crouch and a little bit of Defoe made any ompact. Rooney would have scored that lob that Bent fluffed.

He's been sacked. This morning.
