I just hate how bloggers assume the role of an Omniscient, being able to deduce reasons behind a dead man's actions, like he confided in them or something. This man may have committed suicide over a purely unrelated and remote issue. As I have come to realize, people eventually take drastic actions like this as a result of a string of failures that have constantly befallen them, and at some point one more misadventure simply breaks the last strand of resilience they have left.
May his soul rest in peace. Amen

A man before me was sent out of the hall because he couldn't provide the required document for his account.

When it eventually got to my turn.. The lady asked me to get same documents and that I should comeback the second day....

I replied "if I should leave today..and now...I am closing my account ni!"

She looked through my account and saw the Worths of transactions I do make.

She did everything for me within "5mins", no document was submitted and she was just shouting SIR Sir.

In this life, have money and save yourself away from some embarrassments.

Similar scenario played out with my boss lately; dressed casually because he was on assignment, he walked into a branch of his bank and requested for his bank statement. Since it wasn't a branch where the staffs are familiar with him, there was this argument he had to come back for it and all that. And being the busy man he is, he declined that arrangement and warned he'll most likely close his account with them right there and then. Somehow the lady managed to spy the figure in his account and the SIRS that started dropping from her mouth was just unbelievable. Long story short, he got the statement barely 10mins after in a white envelope.

Let me say this quite frankly, if anyone of these Nigerians should by misadventure get attacked tomorrow, I won't lose sleep or pray for him. You had the choice, you chose otherwise!
I understand everyone has right to make decisions, just like I chose to hang on in Nigeria, toiling to build my own empire, even amid the supposed turmoil. And I can say without mincing words that things aren't as worse as we present it in Nigeria. Just that it takes a deeper kind of insight and knowledge to see things differently and leverage on the scarce opportunity.
