Is leaving for greener pastures suppose to DRAIN the league? Isn't it this just a buttress of the dearth in the league? How is it that less than 3-5 players leave the league and it altogether becomes dull at once.

Do the Belgian,Danish league etc not get a talent drain but replenish just as quicker? Why don't we have same here?
The big truth is our leagues is nothing to write home about, The Belgian league is dominated by non-belgian. Hazard and co left Belgium very early

Oga not everyone is an ardent follower of Nigerian football, so what is saying is new to a whole lot of us because many ignorant Nigerians believe that we can gather 11 world beaters straight from our league.

Which in reality its a fantasy.

What Collins has done is to bring to the fore(and by extension to the world) in one concise piece, a summary of our inherent football problems and solutions.
Does that really connote football problem, most of Argentina, Brazil even Belgium team consists mainly of foreign based player

Good,
So if Emenike has 4 goals, 3 assists and you praise him why are you talking down down on VM who has 2 goals, 4 assists in the same tournament? Is there much difference between their achievements?
Am not even sure of the four assist of Moses. Am not saying Moses is not a good player but begging him out of retirement does not worth it as the current will fill in his shoes in the next two years

This is a total lie and misinformation. Emenike had 4 goals and 1 assist, not 3.

Well by stats, VM won us the nations cup in 2013. You still have not disproved. And by virtue of his performance at that tournament and in the qualifiers for the world cup, he earned the praise of his fans.

You do not have to be a fan of his and you do not have to like his personality, but you would still be unable to deny the fact that he has been very instrumental to the success of our national team, much more than some of the players you are trying to praise above him.

For the records,
VM had 5 goals and 1 assist at the world cup qualifications out of a total of 12 goals scored.

Attached below is Emenike's stats.
which of the world cup qualifiers did he score 5 goals, which stats are you talking about, by stats, he was not our best player, it was emenike

They all contributes in one way or the other except for Joseph Yobo

He was minus one in that tourney and had to be benched. Even Fegor Ogude; one of the foremost carpenters of the Super Eagles

And not like we all haven't said this b4, but Matic, Mata and Lingard should not be playing anymore for this club. I just wish Ole can wise up and bench their destinies.
The victory over PSG was achieved with some of this youngster but will return to the old legs and start losing games

our rise in FIFA ranking was mainly due to the 3rd place match we won against Tunisia

So who gave Mba the assist to score in the final?
Look at it this way. Everyone in a team contributes, but not everyone wins the man of the match award. You measure a player's contribution by the value they offer. Messi for example makes the difference in a lot of games for Barcelona.

Victor Moses at the Afcon was immense. We scored a total of 11 goals in that tournament and VM was involved in almost all the goals. He had 2 goals and 4 assists. Infact his assist got Mba the goal in the final.

So back to the bone of contention, when we praise a player like that, it is not an attempt to belittle the contribution of others in the team. Rather it is a venture to reward the effort of a player who has been more outstanding than the rest.

Based on stats (ceteris paribus), without VM we would not have won that afcon. It is as simple as that.
Victor Moses was not given any man of the match award throughout the tournament, Victor Moses was a good player but he was not the only one who won us the Nations Cup in 2013, same Victor Moses was in our world cup squad for both 2014 and 2018, what was his important to the team? With a quality goal keeper, we could have possibly reach the final and win the cup.

If Victor Moses had not won those two penalty kicks versus Ethiopia, we would not have even qualified for quarter finals. Moses earned the praise.
same way, If MBA has not score the final goal, we won't have win the tournament also if Emenike has misfire against Burkina Faso and Zambia, we might not have qualify from the group. Even without Moses, two Penalties, we will have qualify as second

Rohr may get exposed soon and his contract may not be renewed.

Open your eyes very well. Rohr's system needs either a very good target man to flourish or atleast one player with individual brilliance. This is because everyone plays close to the defence except the target man.

Ighalo was a good target man. He literally carried us through the AFCON qualifiers scoring the bulk of the goals. Ighalo also won us the bronze. He scored 5 out of the total of 8 goals scored in the tournament.

Likewise, It was the individual brilliance of Victor Moses that carried us through the world cup qualifiers.

Now that Ighalo and VM are gone and there are no solid replacements, that's a serious detriment to the team.

Except the likes of Iheanacho, Osimhen, Nwakaeme etc come through as the target man or the likes of Iwobi and Chukwueze come through as the brilliant player with the ability to carry the team (which does not look likely in the immediate), Rohr's team will definitely struggle for goals and the cry for his sack will soon be deafening.
I hate all this praises attached to Victor Moses, if Sunday MBA did not score against cote d'Ivoire, we won't have win the goal same as the goals of Emenike

Rohr try his best but his best is not good enough for the Super Eagles, his major problem in this AFCON is his inability to take risk by drafting more midfielders in the team but instead he prefers to go with a large number of forwards. Sacking Rohr seems to be the best option but a very risky option as the incoming coach might perform worst than Rohr. Past experiences as shown that bringing in a new coach does not guarantee success all the time.

To you.

A one time BBC player of the year is not popular? Do you think people watch only EPL?

Brahimi being a free agent doesn't tantamount to being a poor player.

Besides, Arsenal and West Ham United want to sign him.

See his stats for Porto this season.
those are history, Mikel, Iheanacho are also very popular. Arsenal currently are not a top club

So ndidi is not performing abi? Uncle clap for your self
their is a big different between popularity and performance, the only known Algeria player to me is mahrez, but to my surprise, their current best player this season is their striker who plays in the middle east. Ndidi performing does not make him popular. Likewise most football loving Nigerians can mention more the names of players on English nation team than any other nation that does not mean the English players are the best. Likewise Beckham was once the most popular player in world football which does not make him the best footballer in world football.

Brahimi was once La Liga African player of the season, BBC player of the year and CAF team of the year.

Feghouli was la Liga African player of the season.

Mahrez doesn't need any introduction.

But I will have to agree with you Musa is a big name player.
. The only known performing star in Algeria is Mahrez while Nigeria has zero known performing star players, Iwobi is an average player. the likes of Brahimi and Feghouli are not that popular. How many African players are in spain, same Brahimi that is now a free agent

Man Utd should not sign only player with name, or try to sign a player because other teams are interested in the player. we should sign only hardworking and fit top player that fit into the coach plan. As far as am concern that Liverpool team is full of bunch of average players but with high work rate and team work they look like super star. Man city team also have mostly average player but with the right tactics, team work and tactics they look like super star. We need a striker and a midfield, for the position of the right back, I believe should be filled from the reserves.

I've always mentioned that Pogba will never be at his best when he's the main midfielder, Pirlo and co. were what helped him at Juve.

Rashford on the other hand has lost focus, he's now more bothered with his looks than his football.
I mentioned Pogba as not being committed, am sure that we won't have won against PSG, if Pogba has started that match, he love showing himself than playing for the team
