If you have a relative in US, they will help you sort it out. If not, you can use these local agencies like the one you mentioned. All these local agencies at one point were like you applying to go to the US, I don’t like people fvkin giving them money if you can sort yourself. Study on your own, go through the pages of this thread, you won’t miss the road if you are sharp.
You are right. Most of the things people are paying for are what they can easily do themselves

You can do it yourself. Just ask the BON to send you the card, they will email it to you. Print it out and use an ink pad to thumb print on the boxes. Follow the instructions on the card

This Helen Hayes application is a big scam. The hospital is not outsourcing from African countries at the moment. My hubby was scammed of over 200, 000 before we realized that it is not legit. They keep asking that you pay for this and that (visa application, NCLEX examination, Medical test, etc). Always confirm all email addresses and web addresses before applying for anything. We have learnt the hard way. I hope no one else falls victim to these no-do-goods.
so sorry about this.

Hi,I need information on the steps and
requirements to follow if I want to switch
has an Human anatomy graduate in Nigeria to a
Nursing degree in UK.
if you want to do it in the UK, contact the school you are considering to see if you can transfer some of your credits towards the nursing program and follow their advice.

If you want to make the switch here, you can either go through direct entry in a university and start from year two in a nursing program or buy the school of nursing form and do the program.

If you have a lot of money, you can do a second degree nursing program in USA for one year but be ready to pay millions for it.

Nice thread for those that can come up with 5M for tuition fees excluding flight, visa, accommodation and living expenses. I also spent some time trying to come over to the UK through this route in the past and let me honest, it's not worth it except you are from a rich family that can sponsor you without feeling the financial burden but if you are like me then it's better to register as a nurse in the UK and come over to work. Dont spend your money on UK government, its cheaper for you to write CBT and IELTS and let your employer sponsor you over than to spend millions schooling in the UK.
Let me break it down..
If you are already a nurse in Nigeria then start the UK registration process, worst case scenario, you will be in the UK in one year (this pandemic is making things slower so it might be more) but when you get here you will be earning in pounds up to 1 million naira monthly depending on your employer. After staying in the UK for 5 years, you will be eligible for indefinite leave and after another one year you can apply for citizenship. When you get your ILR, you can further your education and pay the domestic fees which is lower than that £10,000 tuition for international students.

If you decide to use the school route and pay the fees for you to get your BSC now, completing that program does not guarantee that you will be registered with NMC UK. Nmc is more interested in your initial program that first made you a nurse so you will still be asked to verify your NMCN license. This route is longer in my opinion and you will be on a student visa so you cant work more than 20 hrs a week. You will probably get a job as a care assistant or a retail job and you will be earning minimum wage while you wait for NMC UK to verify your NMCN qualifications.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone though. Like I said earlier, if you have the money then go for it.

Hi everyone,
Please does agency in UK offer jobs to pregnant women to work as a nurse after passing their CBT and IELTS?
Kindly reply ASAP
Thanks in anticipation.
Yes you can get a job while pregnant, let your employer know you are pregnant and in your first trimester. It's still early, if everything goes smoothly without delays you can still travel and start working. I have a colleague here that came with her pregnancy, but you are only entitled to the government maternity allowance when you deliver. Your employer won't pay you anything since you didnt work for at least 1 year before going on maternity leave. If you decide to go back to work before your leave ends, the government pay will end too and your salary will resume.

@sumbzie78, @babyyo8, @cyrilade01, @Yugotee
I sent you CBT materials as requested.

About the licence verification as an intern Nurse, I spoke to NMC uk about this issue recently and they said you can start your UK registration as soon as you pass your Nursing council exam. However, I have come to understand that NMCN might not want to send your license verification immediately you finish school but I'm not entirely sure if NMCN will refuse to give NMC UK your records when they request for it so it is worth a try, you can also try to get a letter from your school to claim that you have passed the Nursing council exam if NMCN refuse to send your verification and see if that makes a difference. If that doesnt work then my advice would be to start studying for and Writing the IELTS exam in the meantime.

If you want to be a midwife in the UK, you need to register for CBT midwifery, midwifery jobs are hard to get but not impossible, there are also few study materials Available for CBT midwifery. Unfortunately I dont have any. If anyone has materials for CBT midwifery please send them to me too. Thanks in advance.

If you did the 18 months Nursing program and you want to be an Adult Nurse in the UK, you only need to verify your 18 months Nursing qualification. You also need to inform NMCN and your school to send a letter to NMC UK saying your 18 months nursing program qualifies you to be a Registered Nurse.

@chuksozy if you have the funds then in my opinion relocating with your family at the same time is a good idea. Apart from the fact that you get everything done together as a family e.g visa, flights, gp registration etc, your wife will be more stable mentally to deal with the pressures of a new workplace and a new lifestyle. Living in a new country can be very stressful, intimidating and lonely. Avoid it if you can.

@MrsAnn thank you for defending @Bluebeard, you couldn't have said it better. We are all here to learn and mistakes are inevitable, I'm also learning from you guys here and most of the comments I read are enough to see me smiling through the day. I expecially laughed loud and long when bluebeard called vickyehi an auxiliary. I was like "what? You did not just say that!" Anyway, Thank you vicky for your diplomatic and intelligent answers and thank you @Auschris for clearing that misconception about Avant. It is nice to see you back on the thread.

Happy Nurses week to all the friends I haven't met yet, that includes you too! Please Stay safe during this pandemic.

Thank you so @ Barbiee, really appreciate your response, one thing i'm not cleared about is that do I still need to write nclex after that CBT exam?Becos my colleague's friend used just ielts and nclex through avant health care professional,Please I want to be clear on this.
Secondly if after writing CBT,do still I still need to write osce? Thanks as I await ur response.
I think you are missing up the whole process. You dont need to write Nclex for UK. The only exams you need to write for UK registration are CBT, IELTS academic and OSCE.
It is USA registration that needs Nclex

Please @ vickyehi,@ barbiee, what then is the process to travelling to UK to start practicing as a registered nurse, and how can one write that UK NMC CBT,and where can it be written, because I'm in Nigeria.
you need to create an online account with NMC uk then pay the £140 for your credentials evaluation. After that, pay for your NMCN license verification. Nmc uk will send you your Authorization to test which you will use to book your exams

NMC uk will be hosting 4 workshops about this new process and I plan to attend one in march cause I'm not very conversant with the new inclusions. If you have any questions you want me to ask Nmc please let me know so I can ask the questions on your behalf.

For that no.6, transcript stuff:

If everything is now 100% online I thought certificate from the Nursing institution of training or certification of registration would be enough to get ATT?

Pls ignore that number 6. Just found out transcripts is no longer needed. I guess I need to do a review of the process after all smiley
