OkutaNla: What exactly is your problem dude?? Or is there more to this your hatred for Lagos? Coz I have observed you seem to have some deep seated hatred for Lagos sotay you opened a thread about whether it is worth the hype. Guy, last time I checked Lagos doesn't put a gun to any igbo man's head to come there to hustle or live there for whatever reason, they came/still come of their own volition and free will for whatever reasons best known to them. And it is also ok if Lagos stops meeting your expectations and you decide to leave. I repeat, Lagos is not and will never be for everybody, same reason Onitsha will never be for everyone, or Abuja for everyone, or Kano you name it. So what's your ffckKing problem?? Face your brothers that choose to remain in Lagos in spite of all those 'bad' things/places you claim should be enough reason for them to leave the place, and stop this your foolishness coz it's not that hard abeg. It's not by force to live in Lagos. Lagos doesn't give two fforks whether y'all choose to stay or leave. Park well jor and quit mentioning me please. Most of them are irredeemable people. They claim their villages and region is better than Lagos, oya, let them move to that their village nah, how difficult can that be?, That fool himself lives in Agege, yet his village is better than Lagos isn't it ironic. Wait for them to start claiming it's because of the ports in Lagos, I always asked if there are ports in ibadan too? A I what are they doing in ibadan in their numbers as their busses keep opening garages all over ibadan. These fools won't call out their own leaders, it's the leaders of other region that give them erectuon, go all over Twitter and see then shouting Tinubu, elrufai, heck, they are even famzing Seyi makinde, meanwhile I can't even remember the last time any one in our own region gave a ratass about who rules their bleeping states, nobody cares over here, ditto for kaduna file too who don't give a flying eff about their governors. @legendHero, bro, good job... I urge you and Scholes0 to always create more topics about the exploits of Yorubas both home and abroad. I don't know if you guys are active on Twitter, we need a new voice to tell our stories, it seems the Yorubas on Twitter are trying too much to be diplomatic and liberal and allow every shitty and rubbish things folks say about us to pass just like that, we need people with strong rebuttal powers to lash out to these, you know who, who always like to say trash about us. Thanks. |

Benevento: if this is how every Igbo(s) think, then am afraid for the future of Igbo nation.
who are the ones controlling Lagos economy? is it your father? the formal sector controls the Lagos economy, mostly Yoruba owned business, Foreign direct investments, Dangote group e.t.c petty trading and prostitution that Igbos dominate plays little or no role in Lagos economy.
the industries in Lagos Ogun and Oyo are majorly Yoruba owned and FDI, Lagos and Ogun alone recieves 87% of foreign investments in Nigeria, igboland receives less than 0.5%. (did you think it was your arochukwu forefathers that owned those industries?)
in entertainment; music, this is not even a debate, no one comes close. Nollywood, the highest selling movies are produced by Yorubas, with majority of the cast being yorubas., if you doubt check it out it..

we Yorubas travel to places higher than us, not some backward igboland where the indigenes runs away from.. why should we travel to those backward places when our region is miles better?
you need some sense man, I may not be able to reply your next crap, till tomorrow, battery is down. TKO.. Don't mind all these vagrants. No wonder they can't even attend their own schools, far be it from us to atte d their glorified secondary schools, below is a Yoruba guy that deigned enough to attend their best university, Lmao. They actually over estimate themselves. This post below by a Yoruba guy always resonates to me For me, this thread has reinforced my belief that Yorubas don't need Igbos for ANYTHING! And I mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! We don't depend on them for food, clothing (we have our own tailors and we actually rock more traditional/ankara/Aso-Oke fabric with pride), footwears (we get our own shoemakers brekete), entertainment (no contest), industry (no contest), just name it. THEY are the ones that mooch off of our region, invading our space for sustenance. Omo, Naija can't disintegrate fast enough abeg. Those parasites gastu go!! angry https://www.nairaland.com/3918290/yorubas-most-industriousrichest-educated-tribe/152#58678099See also the experience of a Yoruba guy who even deigned to attend their shithole school, Lmao. No naptu2: She could have done without the face shield. Hello bro. I have been keenly following your posts about Lagos history on this platform, but sir, why is it that many folks don't do much in history of many other parts of lagos, I mean most always base in Lagos island- Benin connection-idejo land owners etc. Do you know anything about the history of other places, I mean traditional history of places like Alimosho, Mushin, Ikeja, Agege, Ikorodu, etc. I will gretely appreciate a response from you. Thanks sir. |

ikpuchinonye1994: osun indigenes rather mine skulls and harvest human organs rather to engage in any useful business.. most of osun indigenes I know here in Lagos have refused going back to osun due to high ritual killings going on there. Yes, ateast their skull mining is restricted to their region, did they ever come to your region to commit any crime whatsoever? Unlike y'll wanderers, show me any link where a Yoruba man committed a single crime in your region, I'm waiting. |

Enboyi doesn't have that. because media isn't posting them or so, doesn't mean nothing is working there Additionally, Ebonyi people na dem dey osun dey sell gala and lacasera for travel, while an Osun indigines can't even deign to travel 100s of kilometers to Ebonyi just to go sell gala in traffic |

einsteino: I am not hating but I am not sure you know what international universities look like. In Nigeria, I have been to UI, UNN, FUTO, Delsu and Uniben. In Canada I have been to Concordia University, University of Western Ontario, York University and University of Toronto.
The truth is that the only thing Nigerian Universities may be able to mouth about is landmass. If it's beauty or how they are set up, I am sorry to say that we are not even remotely close to some international colleges let alone international universities.
Some universities have classes and auditoriums that are much more luxurious than some Nigerian four/five star hotel's Auditoriums. See, leave matters. Nigerian leaders need to wake up. We are soo soooo far behind. The first thing you notice when you leave Naija is that most things wey we take dey big up, na just normal life to other countries.
The good thing is that after coming out of our bastardized Nigerian Universities, we some how manage to do well in these international universities(though it sets us back a bit, so we have to work harder than our colleagues). Don't mind useless Nigerian students with no sense, always boasting about landmass, tell them to upload their classes and laboratories, they can't. Even top universities in the world don't have huge landmass, land that should be used for more productive things.

Basic123: You sound like a 16yr old 100level student of OAU
when you grow up,come back
If you know U.I very well, you will know that U.I electrification is underG.
Also, your first and second VC were just ordinary professor in U.I when OAU was established just like 1/2 of U.I man power was dashed to unilag after establishment.UNILORIN itself was a college to U I.You can only be comparing yourself with the likes of UNILORIN, UNILAG,UNN and ABU not U.I.
U.I is in a league of her own! Don't mind him. In the recently completed law school graduation, ui sent 150 students to law school, 26 came bacj6with a first class while OAU sent 250 and 13 returned with first class. In terms of research, only the nascent Covenant University can compete with ui, OAU no even near at all, you can check all research websites Scopus, elsevier etc. |
