Now you have fully agreed with me now that Yoruba Pentecostalism is a business venture and not a church...

The height of immoral standards introduced by these churches can't even be watched away by mere forgiveness from Pope.

Tribalism was introduced to church through same Pentecostalism...

So on that note it is not a Church but Irredeemable tribal/religious irrendentist.... hiding under the fabrics of Christianity to perpetuate ethnic notations....

In all their powers they can't even heal a sick person let alone covid.
[s][/s] Yes, it's a business venture, can y'll Igbos now take your mouths off Yoruba affairs, be it churches, mosques, politics. Face your Eldorado region, stop coming to our schools. We hate you.!!!!!!!

Those sugar coating words for you are just gossips.

The Yoruba Pentecostal business survived because of patronages from east, south and north Central..[s][/s]

Majority of Yorubas are Muslims...
Patronage indeed, y'll especially Igbos have nothing, absolutely nothing to do with our Pentecostal churches. In the whole executive arm of Rccg, deeper life, winners, etc they are all Yoruba owned and controlled. You are useful to our Pentecostal churches just as a condom in a convent. Y'll Muppets!!!

Hekp me ask o, Joseph Ayo babalola University in Ikeji Arakeji is also because of the Lagos factor abi, or Bowen university at Iwo, 200km away from Lagos is also because of Lagos. In fact, I know not a few folks who attend schools like Bowen, Abuab, etc wholive places like ibadan, Oyo, Osogbo, ilesa etc.

Bro, I give full credit to the Yorubas for developing Pentecostalism in Nigeria. I always mention this. Same with the Music industry. I give u guys the credit.

However, what I will not take is you guys disrespecting or downplaying the contributions of we Non-Yorubas to the building up of these churches.

You Yorubas have the smallest population of Christians in Nigeria. Igbos have 40 million Christians, Middlebelt/North has 35-40 million Christians, Nigerdeltans have 25 million Christians while you Yorubas should be like 20-25 million Christians.
How on Earth do you think your Pentecostalism or Pentecostal based institutions can survive without us?

I laugh at you when you talk about the presence of Yoruba churches in other countries.... Do you think the Westerners are as religious as us? How many Oyibo people dey pay tithe, firstfruits, vows & pledges? Other Black Africans are also not as religious or heavily miracle seeking as Nigerians! They also don't have the numbers and rich people like us.

Take Yakubu Dogara (former speaker) from Bauchi for example.... He is a very devoted Winners member and he gives so so much to Winners church.
Go to his branch in Bauchi and ask what he used to do there!
Do u know how much such a person will be paying as tithes, offerings, pledges?

Do you think other people are like we Nigerians who steal and yet pay tithes from stolen money?
We Nigerians that will sell our houses & cars in order to sow just because we believe our grandmother in the village is after our destiny?

How many Oyibo people or non-Nigerians wan follow u do that one?
Igbos are mostly catholic, and other orthodox churches, so how are they responsible for survival of Yoruba owned pentecostal churcheshuh It's only the middle belt that I give credit to in that regard, even in the middle belt, ECWA reigns Supreme, little wonder Bingham University is located there. The point is, it's out of place to say that universities will crash because a some tribes left, it will even be an opportunity to open up to international students, as it stands now, Covenant University has students from Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Botswana etc and even some Nigerians in diaspora are coming to CU, does that look like a school that will collapse. Ditto for Bowen, owned by the Nigerian Baptist convention, and Baptist church in Nigeria is largely a Yoruba thing, I know Bowen like the back of my palm, mostly Yoruba Baptist students populate the school. See bro, forget it, nature abhors vacuum, that's how ibos boast how Lagos is going to collapse if they leave, I just laugh, they will be replaced In short while.

UdechiHD:
True, exactly. But why does he focus only on the SE. (They are fed up with Owerri and Aba this why you see them take a swipe at Port Harcourt). Chino you see today was a warlord who emerge in a time when the SW war mongers were having a field day on the Igbos. He single handedly decimated the SW champions in time past that all of them had to run for cover. But ever since he got bought by some people, he hardly post his Ibadan or Osun thread since almost 9 years now.
So you’re not wrong, he is paid to work as a site enhancer through stoking tribal fight and demarketing of the SE/SS. As a matter of fact any divisive post that pitch a SE state vs another state whether political or cultural just know that his hands is there.
Now not just him, both him, Abagworo and other SW e-war monger like Tunde etc have been bought to do so and many of these folks were rewarded with the BMC job from the pre-2014 connect of the boss himself. Some IPOB members who have distinguished themselves are in the payroll. I guess Seun is enjoying what they are doing, so you can never win any battle against them. All what him and other paid site enhancer do is use divisions to push nairaland and to cash out.
My own opinion though.
Can y'll just face your regions please and stop mentioning SW.?

See, I am from the Middlebelt and I lived much of my life in the SS. So, to an extent I can speak on behalf of both regions.

I know how many of my friends, relatives, neighbors, classmates went to these private schools in Yorubaland.

Most of these private schools in the SW are Christian based and tied to a religious denomination.
Apart from Cele church, Aladura & CAC can u mention one Yoruba dominated church that the population of Yorubas in that church outnumber the population of Non-Yorubas?

How many Yoruba Christians are in Nigeria compared to Igbos, Nigerdeltans & Middlebelters put together?

I attended both of my brothers matriculations & convocation and they usually give us a list of the names of all the convocating/matriculating students.

I take surveys of these names and they are something like 35% Yoruba, 35% Igbo, 20% Nigerdeltans and 10% Middlebelters.

Without Non-Yorubas, all these universities in the SW will crash!
Wishful thinking. Check the list of notable graduates from those institutions (the ones who can boast of it just yet) and see if they won't be mostly Yorubas still. And they can't crash, hell Covenant even has foreign students and a university like Abuab is secular and thus Muslims Yorubas school there.

70% of the food crops in the north are from Christian tribes and not you Hausa fulani people.

Why do you Hausa fulanis find it so difficult to speak for yourself alone?

Do not drag middlebelt Christian tribes into your madness of NORTH pls. Speak for your ethnic group alone.
Exactly. Middlebelt in the region that actually produces bulk of food in the north. In fact, if northerners claim they supply us, much of the food we eat down south can't even grow in the core north, abi palm oil dey grow for NE and NW, cassava nko? They only grow things like millet, etc which are not staple food in the south

Shut up. I’m also from Ibadan, agbole popoyemoja and our lineage is also of the Mogajis.

Makinde is just an audio governor, he is practically doing nothing compared to what the likes of Ajimobis did in their first year in office.

Write it down, if Makinde keep doing like this, then the Oyo state voters will show him the way out in the next election. Ibadan o kin sin yan leemeji, only Ajimobi had the luxury of second term and that’s because he is a great performer and the best to ever lead Ibadan since 1999.
Oga, there is nothing special about Ajimobi's government. It was a mediocre government. Fuccking 8 years o, dualization of dugbe road, magazine-Jericho, challenge-express road, uncompleted roads in Oyo and ogbomoso and saki thereby subjecting the people of these towns to pain, he built roads with open gutters, roads without streetlights in Oyo and ogbomoso, even the ones in ibadan that he attached streetlights, they didn't last beyond 6months. Spent millions planting flowers and the flowers dried off right under the nose of his government. What about education, he was a colossal failure, ditto for health care. All he does is to insult people up and down as if he is the one who has been feeding people right from birth. Seyi might actually not be that great, but Ajimobi wasn't any special, and he isn't anywhere close to the best in Oyo state. It's very easy for some of you to sit down in developed countries and be hailing some politicians, tell that to those with poor health care in oke ogun, tell secondary school students that he is the best thing after slice bread in Oyo state, telllaitech student who went on strike for a whole year that he is the best thing that ever happened to laitech. Tell people in Oyo, ogbomoso, saki etc that his uncompleted roads have killed and rendered many handicapped that he is the best thing in the history of the state.
PoliticsRe: Seyi Makinde In Shorts As Davido Visits Him by Barbilius: 2:14pm On Mar 22, 2020
Another thing I hate about Oyo state is the propensity to focus on the state capital alone by the successive governments. At the end of the day, none, absolutely none has been able to solve the myriads of problems facing ibadan, from waste management problem, to transport problem, bad roads, etc. Why not spread the tentacles of government??
PoliticsRe: Seyi Makinde In Shorts As Davido Visits Him by Barbilius: 2:09pm On Mar 22, 2020
I don't know why people keep yapping about ajimobis achievement, there was nothing special about his government, it was a mediocre govt. Someone that used eight good years to dualize a 10km road in Oyo town, ditto for ogbomoso, at the end of the day he still constructed roads with open gutters, and the one in Oyo does not even have street light, like wtfhuh How can use dualize a road without putting streetlights, and he still had the effontery to garb agbada and come commission it. What about education sector, dude was a colossal failure, ditto for health care. He was pontificating on how he was going to use agriculture to turn Oyo states economy around yet the road leading to the major agricultural center was neglected, u dualize a road within iseyin town itself while you left the ibadan iseyin road which is the major artery between ibadan and oke ogun in a bad spot for 7 and half years and the other is hurriedly awarded in the last minute of his administration.

Bro so what is stopping the governor from taking proactive measures to safeguard the people of Oyo state. What is stopping him from closing down schools and place of worship. etc.

Oh on infrastructure he is also the worst. Other governors from Oyo state did wonders in the development of infrastructure in their first year in office

Akala initiated and completed The Akala express road and many roads within ibadan metropolise by the end of his first and only term in office. Akala completed the dualization of Dugbe roads

Ajimobi initiated the Mokola over head bridge and completed a lot of roads within ibadan Metropolise like the Josbee road in his first term in office.

Even Ladoja who suffered an unjust impeachment before being reinstalled built the ibadan inner city road within his first term in office.

Makinde seems to be largely interested in social media.
Ibadan... Ibadan.... Ibadan..... Oyo state is really bleeped up, everything about the state starts and ends in ibadan. Such a poor thing!!
