Luis Suárez wins Trofeo EFE, says team is focused on collective success With 41 goals in all competitions this season, Luis Suárez is in a great form. The Uruguayan striker is FC Barceona's top scorer — not too shabby when one considers he's playing alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr to form the most feared trident since the days of Poseidon. It was for this reason that Suárez on Monday was named the top Ibero-American player in La Liga by Spain's EFE news agency. Suárez gave his teammated most of the credt. "I am happy to help the team because that's what is most important. We don't compete against each other internally. Instead we enjoy the good individual moments. An award such as this is always welcome, but we are focused on group success," he said Suarez explained why the team's chemistry is so good, one of the big reasons they are currently riding a 34-game unbeaten streak. "We do not look at statistics or numbers, we live day to day, we have a great relationship on and off the field, and it's all based on instinct," he said. "We know that if the trident is good to go, everyone else will be too. I have a great relationship with all our teammates, not just Messi and Neymar Jr." Suárez revealed what most surprised him upon coming to FC Barcelona: "The humility of our players is spectacular, they have won everything and every day they treat you like one of the guys and that's admirable." Suárez also spoke about up Leo Messi, who scored yet another amazing free kick against Sevilla on Sunday night. "His left leg is unique worldwide and it is admirable," Suárez said.

Luis Enrique wary of ‘dangerous’ Celta Vigo FC Barcelona host Celta Vigo on Sunday at Camp Nou (8.30pm CET) where the Catalans will be aiming for another three points to remain top of La Liga. Luis Enrique spoke to the press ahead of the game where he was keen to warn of the threat that his former team pose. Here is a selection of the standout quotes: Dangerous opponent "They are a dangerous opponent; bold, brave, dominating all facets of the game and are attractive to watch." Injuries We know that they have a lot of missing players (Nolito, Orellana, Fontas, Sergi Gomez) but their style of play remains the same. They love to keep the ball and I think they can make life difficult for us.” Intensity “They play with intensity, leave little space (for the opponent) and move the ball quickly. They are good both in attack and defence.” Recent defeats to Celta “Last year we were far superior, but due to the woodwork and their goalkeeper we were unable to score. In contrast, in this season’s meeting, they were clearly better and deserved to win.” Arda’s fitness “Arda was able to train just once before the Valencia game and could not even put on his boots. It was not logical to risk him. Now he is fine.”

Luis Suarez insists their is ‘no competition’ between high firing MSN One of the striking information Luis Suarez revealed to his former teammate Jamie Carragher sounds very suspicious but we have no option than to take it as he has said until proven otherwise. Luis Suarez claims that between Messi, himself and Neymar that their is no competition to score or become the best of the trident. Though Lionel Messi is the stand out striker amongst the three ferocious strikers, Suarez still had to explain their relationship explained: “People don’t see it but inside the dressing room we laugh and joke a lot so it’s not just for the cameras. It’s the way things are off the pitch too. “We are happy for each other, it is all natural. I’m not envious of Leo or Ney. Why would I be? If there is envy in the dressing room, you know it’s only going to affect results. “I know what my strengths are and what theirs are and what the three of us do is play for the good of the team. We realise that Leo is the best and we play so that Barcelona win trophies. The striking part remains his last statement where he added that: “There is no envy between us three. There have been cases in the past where some players have fought or argued among themselves and there has been some envy and the team has suffered because of it. That’s not going to happen now.”

Sevilla coach Unai Emery gives hard condition to Barcelona ahead of Copa del Rey finals Sevilla and Barcelona are to meet in the Copa del Rey finals and a lot of rumors has been spread concerning where the finals will take place with most outcome being the Camp Nou which was where the 2015 Copa Del Rey finals was held and Barcelona emerged victorious. Sevilla coach Unai Emery does not like the idea of the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona being played at the Camp Nou, because it would give an advantage to the Catalans. “I hope the final is not like last year, at the Camp Nou. I’d sooner play it in China than there! I hope not to fall to the injustice of having to play it there because it would give an advantage to Barcelona. It would be like having a second Messi,” he explained after his side drew with Celta Vigo to reach the showpiece event Emery didn’t give a definite reply when asked if he would prefer Santiago Bernabeu for the finals “I’d like to play where Sevilla fans feel most comfortable, but just not in the Camp Nou”,he said. Emery wasn’t happy with the booking Steven N’Zonzi received which will stop him from playing in the final but in all was proud of the draw: “I’m very proud of my team, and more for how the game ended. We competed without the ball and later with the ball. The draw is important to leave here unbeaten.”

Considering how good Barcelona have been this season, it would have been a real surprise if no player on the team had created the most chances or given the most assists. But it was a bit strange to realize that it wasn’t a midfielder that was named but rather one of the attacking trio Neymar. According to a report obtained from SPORT, Neymar averages 3.6 chances per game having created 69 chances in the 19 games he has been involved in and so far has nine assists leading the likes of Ronaldo, Bale and Toni Kroos. Apart from the chances the Brazilian is creating, he is also finding the net wit ease as his La Liga tally currently stands at 16 goals, three behind Ronaldo and Benzema. Other players who made the list are Bale (38 chances and 8 assits), Roberto Soldado (8 assists and 23 chances), Koke (7 assists and 40 chances) and Toni Kroos (7 assists and 38 chances).

Spy360:Luis Enrique is d best manager, and that's not only because he's coaching barca that has MSN. His tactics has given barca a direct approach 2 games and removed that predictable style barca is known 4. Managing superstars is even harder; that's 1 thing pple don't get. D league he won went down 2 d last 2 games so its not a walk in d park like ure making it seem. Or can u give ronaldo, benzema, bale and all d array of stars @ madrid ice cream and win dem their 2nd league title in 8 years? A manager can only manage what's given 2 him, so its unfair using his bad experience @ roma 2 judge him, its like judging mourinho with dis season where he almost got relegated |

Since his move to Barcelona in 2014 manager Luis Enrique has stopped at nothing to put a smile on the faces of the Barcelona fans. He won five major trophies that included the UEFA Champions League, and his team are on course to beat Guardiola’s unbeaten run should things g their way in the next two games. With all these achievements means he has to have a very good strike force and off course he definitely has that with Messi, Suarez and Neymar But apart from the MSN who else has been getting the goals for Luis Enrique. See list below 1. Lionel Messi – 82 2. Luis Suarez – 60 3. Neymar – 60 4. Ivan Rakitic – 12 5. Pedro – 12 6. Pique – 10 7. Munir-7 8. Sandro- 7 9. Iniesta -4 10. Roberto-3

Luis Enrique's 99 matches as FC Barcelona manager This Sunday’s match against Levante will be Luis Enrique’s 100th as manager of FC Barcelona, and the Asturian has the chances to equal the unbeaten record set by the team of 2010/11. The recent cup semi-final win over Valencia equaled the record set by Rinus Michels’ men and are now within touching distance of the 28 unbeaten matches by Pep Guardiola’s side. This is not the only record of note by the former Celta Vigo boss in his time with the Catalans. By winning La Liga, Copa del Rey, Champions League, Spanish Super Cup, European Super Cup and Club World Cup, last season’s team won five of the six available titles. Luis Enrique has a more than impressive record; 79 wins, eleven draws and nine defeats in which Barça have scored 280 and let in 72.

Neymar has had more haircuts than birthdays over the past 24 years of his life, a testament to his ever-changing style and his evolution as both a person and a player. His hair is flamboyant and colourful, sometimes even simple. It's a reflection of his career. He arrived at Barcelona in 2013 with what former teammate Victor Valdes called "Will Smith hair." But the Spanish World Cup champion liked his mohawk better. "I told him:'Listen Ney, I really prefer your Santos look, the mohawk. You were scary. You're scarier that way.' He looked at me and said: 'Give me a week, brother, give me a week.'" True to form, Neymar eventually brought it back. On his 24th birthday, here's a look back at his most stylish cuts since he first took the pitch as a professional in 2009.
