Olokola that should have been completed under Mimiko, he and Amosun were playing politics with it. Today, that project is a shadow of itself

Same thing with many of those projects that should have been executed in the SS but for silly politics the regional leaders played with them.

Attempts have been made by the FG to take the pressure off Lagos yet, the same people who should make things easier are the ones hindering the progress of their states
...The best example is the relocation of dangote refinery from Ondo states to Lagos.LAGOS??.....LAGOS AGAIN.I was highly disappointed.

I later learnt that fashola/tinubu won him over taking advantage of mimiko lack of incentives and encouragement from him.

MasterChen:
It's not Lagos's fault, It's the fault of those states themselves. The administrators especially.

Besides the ports, the major reason why Lagos is thriving is because that's where Nigeria's best brains are. Whose fault is it that other 35 states are losing their human resources to Lagos? In fact, one of the biggest losers is Ibadan and she has herself to blame. Ibadan had the best brains in the SW until Post Bola Ige administrators messed things up. After that period, Ibadan became the butt of jokes about Shoprite escalators.

That has changed though. The oldies and trendsetters have started returning home. There is like a low-key think home movement most people aren't aware of

All Nigerian states need to emulate this and stop coming up with all sorts of fake conspiracies about Lagos doing certain things in the background to stop other states from thriving.

If the right infrastructure is in place, people will stay at home
yeah,It has changed,Ibadan really changed under Ajimobi.I cant wait for the completion of expansion of Iwo road-gate in to 8 lanes.

The heroe of some lost sheep of isreal to south east Nigeria.

The same man was responsible for making him the chairman in the first place ooooo.

Any way,his thinking is not different from that red mud jews.

Governor Fayose has lent his voice to the
controversy trailing the emergence of Ali Modu
Sheriff as the national chairman of the PDP
- The governor said there was no basis for the
claims that Sheriff was linked to the Boko Haram
insurgents
- He called on all those aggrieved to respect the
decision of the party

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has called on
all his admirers and stakeholders to support the new
national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP), Senator Ali Modu Sheriff.

Governor Ayo Fayose begs stakeholders to accept
Sheriff as PDP chairman
According to him, Sheriff has the capacity to re-
position the party and he is the best thing in the
present circumstance, Vanguard reports.

The governor expressed regret that those who
dumped the PDP when it lost the 2015 elections and
did not utter a word, have now found their voice
against a decision taken in accordance with the
party’s constitution.

This was contained in a statement by his special
assistant on public communications and new media,
Lere Olayinka.

You are right.. Christianity rules is for the poor gullibles. The rich and pastors can do anything and still get worshipped. Pastors like Oyakilome, Chris Okotie, Apostle suleman,, Coza pastor et all can engage in extra marital affairs and divorce and still keep their gullible followers. While the poor are preached to and condemned for doing same.

Fish brain nairaland Christians feeling they have got a voice. Because Asisat is a Muslim not means she has to be perfect with her religion or she doesn't have her personal life outside being a Muslim. For a moment you had think Davido, 2BABA,OJB, flavour are also mosque goers.

El-Rufai’s comment on Tinubu is height of ingratitude – Shehu Sani Posted By: Tony Akowe, Abuja On: April 19, 2017 In: News Update 1  Chairman of Senate Committee on Local and Foreign Debts and Senator representing Kaduna Central, Senator Shehu Sani Wednesday took another swipe at Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai over his comment on APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu saying the comment was the height of ingratitude. In a statement made available to The Nation, the Senator said the contribution of the former Lagos state governor and the South West to the victory of the APC in the 2015 election was unparalleled, pointing out that without Tinubu, the victory over the PDP would have remained a mere dream. Sani described Tinubu as the lungs of the APC while President Buhari is the heart, adding that it was unfortunate that while el-Rufai smiles with Tinubu during the daylight he stings him at night. The statement reads: “The Memo written by Kaduna Governor which tends to belittle the contribution of Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the South West is sad and unfortunate. It is perfidious and the height of ingratitude. “We must accept the stalk truth that without Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu and the principled position of the south West, dislodging Goodluck Jonathan and the then rulling PDP could have still remain a pipe dream, a hollow hope or a political mirage. Elrufai defecate on a broom that is supposed to clean the littered floor of the nation. “President Buhari is the Heart of APC and Asiwaju is the lungs. Tinubu contribution to the success of the Party is unequal. Elrufai smiles with Tinubu on broad daylight and sting him at night. He hugs Tinubu with a chest of hooks and shakes him with toxic palms. “Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu is a Man who built a castle for others to live and asked to appreciate the gift of a room in the boys’ quarters. Those who rubbished a hunter who borrowed them his arrow to disable an antelope, will someday come back for same arrow to disable a lion “Tinubu honoured many official invitations to Kaduna unknowingly, he was backstabbed with an acidic memo. Tinubu has a history of been betrayed and has a history of overcoming betrayal. “The future of the APC is with Buhari and the South West. Without Buhari and the South West, the change train will derail and end in smithereens like the fate of Yoguslavia or Soviet Union. “President Buhari should be watchful of those who prey behind him and pray before him. Tinubu is an indispensable major component of change. My knowledge of Tinubu dates back to the NADECO days when we were in the trenches during the struggle against military dictatorship. “El-Rufai should publicly apologise to Tinubu and the South West for degrading their contribution to the liberation of Nigeria. To insult a man publicly and apologise to him privately is eat your cake and have it. Those heavily drinking from the liquor of power should know that they will later or lately have to drive back

Aisha Buhari opens up on how Tinubu helped her
husband

ON March 19, 2015 1:30 AM / IN News / BY
Abiodun / Comments
By Gbenga Oke

Hajia Aisha Buhari, yesterday, opened up on the
sacrificial support of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on her
husband’s presidential aspiration, affirming that
Tinubu’s support has brought Muhammadu Buhari’s
ten-year presidential quest to near actualisation.

Aisha spoke as Tinubu declared that President
Goodluck Jonathan’s time in office was up,
lampooning the administration for having a morbid
phobia for election upon what he claimed was years
of missed opportunities and misgovernance.

The two spoke at the 14th town hall meeting of the
Lagos Central senatorial district hosted by Senator
Oluremi Tinubu (APC senatorial candidate), an
occasion that drew some of the leading lights of the
Lagos political crowd.

Mrs. Tinubu, at the occasion, blasted the ruling
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, of building castles in
the air with what she described as economic gains
that did not distil to the populace.

The 14th edition of the Lagos Central senatorial
district town-hall meeting tagged, ‘Treading the path
to prosperity’ also saw the launch of a book written
by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, entitled ‘Stewardship
Report: A collection of Town Hall Speeches
(2011-2014)’

Among those present at the event were Mrs. Dolapo
Osinbajo, wife of Professor Yemi Osinbajo, APC vice-
presidential candidate; Lagos State First Lady, Dame
Abimbola Fashola, Senator Babafemi Ojodu, among
others.

Mrs. Buhari said Asiwaju jettisoned personal interest
to ensure that Professor Yemi Osinbajo emerged as
vice-presidential candidate to her husband.
She also said the forthcoming presidential election
would be a unique contest for General Buhari after
three prior runs.

“My husband, General Muhammadu Buhari has been
contesting presidential elections for over a decade
now, but this particular election is unique because
our leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu jettisoned his
personal interest for the sake of Nigeria.”
In his remarks, Asiwaju Tinubu said the damage the
PDP had done to Nigeria is enough, and the party
should as such be voted out.
