DeLaRue:
I told people Gtb was the biggest bank in Nigeria.

Very few branches compared to first bank, Zenith, Access, and UBA, but still makes more profit, pound for pound.

The few people that threatened to close their accounts because a man was arrested the other day would make zero difference to GTB bottom line.

GTB - a very decent bank.
The assets therein are just their stock value.

In terms of total assets, Access and Zentih Banks are rated no. 1 and 2 respectively in Nigeria.

GT Bank ranks 3rd.

GT Bank have lost a lot of momentum since Tayo Aderinoku passed away.

That's what the bible calls the "widow's mite". It's a great gesture.

It's worth more than millions of Naira, because could probably more than 80% of her valuables that she can pick from.

Mcap is just no of shares X share price

Valuation is more deeper. Zenith bank has a Mcap of over $1B but are valued under $300M
Kindly read it well.

The index used for the report is MCAP as informed in it's 7th paragraph, and the last picture on it (attached):

Nigeria have many companies above that mark.

Dangote cement isnt worth 1Billion couple with Naira value that has depreciated.
$1 billion is just about N1.6 trilliion.

Market cap of Dangote cement alone as at May, 2025, is N7.5 trillion.

Politics › Re: Fuel Import Ban Fears Re-ignite Dangote, Marketers’ Row by Basicend:
Banning it completely will translate into giving Dangote a monopoly.

That will be dangerous to Nigeria and the masses. Dangote that is eying worlds' richest man.

Like the president said last week, if a ban is in place, an option for waivers will be available for valid importers.

The way VDM dresses and also with ear and nose rings. The beads on his neck and other places. Am not sure many corporate CEOs would be comfortable being beside him.

I know he has lots of youthful fans, of whom are quite carried away, and some of them here may even start abusing now instead of perhaps looking a bit inwards. That's just my opinion.

Iykenuwa:
You people should calm down, Trump's plan was actually to force China to the negotiation table, and he has achieved that.
He has technically achieved nothing my brother.

His initial plan was to hike the end-price of Chinese goods via tariffs to be at least the same with an American manufactured products, and while at same time, bully China into moving some of its production factories to USA. Similar to what Japan did fee decades ago.

Both plans are absolutely unrealistic.

But his eyes are clear now that China holds same or even more cards. The reality is that both countries need each other desperately to survive. Atleast in the meantime.

You have clearly captured the core issues. Nothing else to add.

Your desperate attempt to dismiss my write-up with incoherent babble and weak comparisons only proves you have no substance. If you think dragging in ‘Nathasha’ somehow shields you from accountability or debate, you’re worse off than I thought.

Let’s be clear: I’m not here to ‘relax’ or take empty nonsense lightly. You don’t get to act like a loud fool, then tell others to stay calm while you spew baseless trash.

And if you think calling everyone ‘the same’ makes you sound wise, you’re either too lazy to think critically or too cowardly to stand for anything. Gullible fools are those who pretend neutrality just to stay conveniently ignorant. Spare me the empty lectures and come back when you’ve got more than recycled slogans.
Okay. You sound so pained and desperate. I am now sounding "indifferent" and no longer in a "camp", right?

Don't take it easy. Fight!
Politics › Re: Joining APC Won’t Clear Your Past - Sandra Duru Reacts To Natasha’s Tinubu Video by Basicend: 11:57pm On May 10, 2025
CreativeOrbit:
Spare me the hypocritical theatrics. If Natasha’s record is so ‘visible,’ then yours—or your camp’s—must be rotting in a landfill of lies and cowardice. Only a desperate, guilt-ridden hack resorts to slinging mud about ‘blackmail’ while hiding behind vague accusations. Where’s your proof? Or is barking baseless slander the only skill your ‘brutal dog’ has?

Pathetic. If you’re going to attack someone, at least have the spine to present facts instead of vomiting up weak, recycled smears. Until then, your words reek of projection—the trademark stench of a camp that can’t win without fabricating villains. Try harder.
Your entire write-up is the similar wirring process your camps' Nathasha was explosively deploying to bark at the SP.

So, it's a turn around scenario. Just relax and take it easy.

More so, it's only a gullible fool that doesn't know yet that all the politicians involved here are the same in acts.

Perhaps, you may try harder too.
Politics › Re: Joining APC Won’t Clear Your Past - Sandra Duru Reacts To Natasha’s Tinubu Video by Basicend:
CreativeOrbit:
It’s laughable how you think political intimidation equals strength. Natasha isn’t hiding—she’s simply too seasoned to dignify every circus act with a response.

As for your so-called 'Dr. Duru,' he’s nothing but a political attack dog on a short leash, deployed by Akpabio to distract from the rot under his feet.

Calling him a 'chief tormentor' doesn’t make him powerful; it just shows how deep your camp is drowning in fear of strong, unbought voices.

Keep parroting propaganda—some of us are busy exposing the puppeteers and their clowns.
Firstly, it's "She" and not "He".

Be aware that Nathasha was also deployed as a shameless and lieing attack dog by a camp. But she could not bark anymore coz she has been ambushed by a more brutal dog.

Her records are there for all to see as a serial blackmailer and evil woman.

So, what's your point?
Politics › Re: Joining APC Won’t Clear Your Past - Sandra Duru Reacts To Natasha’s Tinubu Video by Basicend: 8:41pm On May 10, 2025
Nathasha don go hide for her cave quietly since this lady came out.

This Dr Duru na chief tormentor. She dey para abeg.

Akpabio just handled her case to a woman. Simple.

Politics › Re: Western Education Just A Formality - Bauchi Governor, Bala Mohammed by Basicend:
fabolouz1:
why the controversy? he is saying it the way it is, acquiring education is not an open door to success ,its as simple as that.
Western education expands your ideas of life's processes and capacities. We live in an evolving innovative world driven by Western civilization or education.

If someone in a developed or technologically advanced environment says such, yes, he may be correct. For example, some kids in USA dropped out of school early and became successful giants in IT, auto manufacturing, e-commerce etc.

It's a society thing.
An uneducated American living in New York or a Japanese kid in Tokyo most likely is more enlighted and vastly oriented with basics of modern world systems than most 400 level graduates in a Nigerian university.

Bauchi state is one of the least educated in Nigeria. Lack of western education is the reason the northern states are the poorest and just kept relying on federal allocation. We have had enough of such parasitic union.

So, that clown of a governor needs to find wisdom or detach.

That summarizes the whole thing.

Your Adeboye you knew long time ago, is now a politician.
Try not to be condemning great people. Yes, they are human and may have faults.

If you know what it takes to manage just 10 people, not to talk of someone managing millions of people in the world, and thousands of churches same time.

Try and manage just 15 people first, and let's examine you.

Leave God's servants for God to judge.

Let VDM face the law if he has truly gone against it, and if he's truly guilty of those allegations, he should go do the time behind bars, is that not the kind of country you want, awon apoda.
But, are your leaders not the same?

A president that just woke up and said I ban all importation of goods.

Even, heavily industrialized nations with adequate infrastructure will be clear and calculative about such a decision.

Do you know how many SMEs will fold up again, in this hard economy. And guess what, he said people should get waivers.

Where is the electricity, loans and enabling environment for the so called local manufacturers? Are those not the modalities he is supposed to put in place first?

Foreign Affairs › Re: Trump orders 100% tariff on all movies produced outside the US by Basicend:
He has not successfully executed one single promise on his election mandate.

The MAGA thing is an illusion just as trump's archaic ideas.

He promised to end Russia / Ukraine and Israel Hamas wars in weeks of assumption of office. But, ultimately, he backed out.

He talks with emotions without proper thinking and planning. Lots of American films produced outside US for cost reasons will be affected too.

If Hollywood is dying, is it tariffs on imported DVDs that would save it? Most viewers download, stream or watch their movies via cable tv etc.

Perhaps Hollywood has reached its peak and needs more research funds and human capital to compete.

Just like the trade war with China and the rest which has crippled many businesses of both countries. Those are not the solution. He is so dumb honestly.

America needs to kick out this old clown in my opinion, or use legislative or judicial powers to curb his executive orders.
