RomanceRe: If Another Guy Buys A Phone For Your Girl by Basildon1(m): 1:36pm On Sep 15, 2009
It depends,if it's a gal that i'd think of marrying then i'd tell her to dispatch it back to sender QUICKLY but if it's a gal that i hav no big plans for, I will have to be really grateful to the other guy.
CareerRe: Banks Should Run Shifts by Basildon1(m): 4:15am On Sep 15, 2009

Oh I see!! that is enough reason to subject them to inhuman treatment, eh?
My view is not personal but rather objective and devoid of sentiment. It is a well known guiding principle to all businesses. Shift work is also only carried out due to the peculiar need of an organisation as found in healthcare/IT/superstores rather than due to the need to mollycoddle an employee. It is also hardly an opt-in,opt out scheme. EVERYONE will then have to work on a rotating shift pattern to maintain equality.
CareerRe: Banks Should Run Shifts by Basildon1(m): 4:48pm On Sep 14, 2009
It's a very nice idea but then why do we need to day dream!!! shocked
A bank is a simply a corporation that takes cares of monetary transactions, basically it is a business. All businesses are geared toward making profits. The best way to make profit is minimal effort but maximum output. Point is the banks will rather make the best use of their current employees to get the work done rather than employ more to work on a shift pattern.

Soludo In politics, wonders shall never end. Does he want to remembered as a renowned academic or just another politician?
FamilyRe: My Husband Won't Accept Our Son's Disability by Basildon1(m): 4:09pm On Sep 11, 2009
You need to have a deep talk with him about him changing his attitude. If this fails, then let him know that while he is free to think whatever he wants, beating your son for no sensible reason will not be TOLERATED!

PoliticsRe: Ribadu Resurfaces In Nigeria! by Basildon1(m): 3:31pm On Sep 11, 2009
I think it's a shame that Ribadu could be reduced to this level after what he accomplished, Yes,he was a zealot but he had a cause, Guess he is meant to be a scapegoat to deter similar people who in the future who do not care whose ox is gored as long the job gets done!

@the seeker, with due respect, i never said that u live in shacks.i dont know where u live neither do u know where i live and,i dont give a rats ass where u live either. i have no intention of continuing on this topic with pple like u when u failed to appreciate that charity begins at home.a wise man told us that "bad things keep happening cos good men refuses to say or do something".in russia,i believe that there are no investigative journalists cos some of them were killed?. the KGB agent killed in London was not a journalist,bt a state agent who have an axe to grind with his bosses.no one forced him to work for the state.and why did he turn into a double agent and was moved to london by MI5? some of us easily believe and rely on censored and doctored news from the bbc and cnn.as long as we refuse to accept that (ihe na eme anyi si anyi na aka) we are the architect of most of our problems and instead wants to blame them on the govt,we will still be where we are.@basildon1,dude i have been trying to avoid u like a plague all along cos of your off colour statements.bt if u want to bring it to me,nwanne,u are most welcome.so am not patriotic enough or wanting in the field of the revolution cos i said that am more fortunate than most that i dont live in nija? nigga, take your ass off to some where else.i have no room for your types and cant dignify u by answering u.go get some more knowledge and education, add a lil civilization and then come tlk to me.thanks. it is the same dirty system that made me a fugitive in my own land.so instead of crying, let us swing into action as a great revolution and see the govt kill all of us.bt like i said earlier, all of us must clean up our acts b4 we will be taken seriously for no one goes to the equity with unclean hands.pple lets stop deceiving ourselves cos we all know the truth and it is that truth that will set us all free. we all love this country in our different hearts bt with different reasons and motives.these same pple that moan and criticize here will be worse than the worst when placed in places and positions of authorities.bloody hypocrites.
This will be my last comment to you since it seems you have been evading the question of what you have done to help rather than just proposing ideas you are incapable of being a part of.My comments have not been derogatory towards u because i believe this a forum where ideas are exchanged but then what's the point since you are ready to mudsling!!U are obviously ignorant to think you are on a higher pedestal to me and ur comments reverberates of stupidity . More than half of the people on here live outside the country -google my ID and you will see i stay in Essex yet i dont count myself lucky. You have kids yet you are on here dropping inflammatory statements like someone with Down's Syndrome. I may not have the bowel for a revolution which is why i hammer on good governance but it's only because i have seen firsthand what has happened in other regions,i worked with SIFE and have been on student exchange progammes to places that you can never visit in your dreams. Anyways, like someone rightly said,You Win since you have given the best solution

savesoul:
Most of you posters on this topic are a disgrace to this country.
As Nigerians we are not supposed to take shit from anyone, what has this Apology got to do with electricity bad roads or bad governance?
So because we have various forms of corruption in our country, when somebody insults us, we should keep quiet? Nonsense Absolute nonsense!  angry
My point exactly, I am simply amazed that we have 'nigerians' that lack the brains to know when your head is being used as a footmat.
the viper:
am a nigerian, born and brought up.(maybe a lil fortunate than some cos i dont live there now),
You,my dear sir, must be a very sad little man, and an arm chair critic of the highest order. The fact that you consider yourself FORTUNATE not to live in Nig shows there's no point in taking you serious -what a relief! smiley.
Everybody wants a revolution,no one is ready to to be shot to death in the streets in the name of 'quelling the riot', I remember that when some mothers went to protest against the then Min of Aviation,Prof Borishade, they were teargassed and disgraced. Nothing happened and the b**tard didnt resign.THIS IS THE REALITY

marissa:
I dont't recall reading about any protests by Nigerians in front of Sony office here in Nigeria or abroad condemning the act - like how citizens of countries we are so quick to use as examples would've done- haba, at least 1 placard-carrying Nigerian in the whole worldhuh
Instead we've all converged on the World Wide Web - our favourite spot by the way, further legitimizing global opinion about us, - ranting and asking THE GOVERNMENT to please handle this ISSUE!!
N-A-I-J-A!!!
This quote plus your previous quote all boils down to nothing really, TALK IS CHEAP! If you can, please paste your picture of you carrying a palcard and fighting against one of the ills of our society.

I think it's unfair to expect people who have a had time surviving and more importantly never imbibed the doctrine of fighting for rights to adopt the culture of other such countries (that are hardly ever third world countries). I am just being a realist here that hates the condemning undertone or your wordings. What do you think is the definition and purpose of a leader? An unruly system breeds unruly ppl!Humans are the same everywhere - it's only the system that puts people in check either through faith in the system or by being chastised by the system

Go to London Bridge at 7:45am and tell if the british are different, everyday we keep hearing of an MP who pays for his second mertgage with the taxpayer's money, show me a speed camera not working and i will show 10 cars going over 40mph in a residential

@basil i'm proud to be a nigerian. But what annoys me is the fact that the same pple wanting apologies from Sony have the power to do something about the nation's problem but the majority are corrupt.Because of the issue of unemployment companies are now manipulating the labour market.I refused 2 bank jobs cuz 1.Rather than employed as full time i'll be employee as IT 2.Position of marketer and a target of millions of naira before confirmation. Now the basic needs should be met first like electricity, cuz without that it affects all aspect. Wait F this i'm just ranting.I'm proud of nigeria even with 419 scams, corrupt leaders,no electricity.I'm proud of it all.
LOL, i'm not saying we should be proud of the 419 and corruption, it's one of the ugly faces of Nigeria and there's almost nothing that can be done til we have a (sucession of) good president(s). -think there's a proverb that says when the head is bad,the body rots. But til it EVER gets good, U cant smile at the F**ing official that treats u like scum cos u r  Nigerian. It is what it is.

I sometimes think pple are dense. There are far bigger issue at hands what the F is getting an Apology gonna do for us.When we should get kids in school, get jobs for pple, supply electricity to the nation and assassinate yaruda and political puppets and figure heads.Bad leadership corrupt practices yet all we do is clap for a puppet bitch chasing apologies from companies defaming a country that's already gone mad.Fyi:the ads refers to yahoo boys not nigerians also chinese pple are always on the recieving end on getting labelled for making fake products you don't see them barking.M_Max there are real issues at hand here.Nigeria will eventually collapse if it keeps current trends.Am 23 spent 5 years in school can't get a job why cuz a space is reserved for someone's family(connection) that is corruption. But i love nigerians let's celebrate the mediocre things that will have no impact on us.Anyway my post here is trash since it doesn't contain any element of deceit and useless points mod do you job.
PC Guru: Do you need someone to hold your hand while you sob and spare us this pathetic rant?

We know Nigeria is rotten and whatever you think you are going through,a 1000 ppl have gone through worse.Well,I'm sure you know what is called International Relations. It is simply drips of absolute disrespect for such an ad to be aired which smears people of a certain nationality. Even Afghans dare not be labelled bombers in this current age without risking international wrath!

Yes,Nigeria is going down the drain but still have your pride, goddamnit, whether you like it or not,we are nigerians and we dont deserve s**T.

@ op,when did being metrosexual become a problem, you go to the shopping centre and spy a hot guy and think it's always a fluke. Nuff times, the guy slaves at the gym, his hair looks well texturised, dress code is well selected.
Give the guy a break - he def has 2 look a the mirror a few more times.and accept it or not,a metrosexual guy catches the eye.

FamilyRe: My Marriage In Trouble by Basildon1(m): 11:09am On Sep 09, 2009
U seem smart enough to know the situation.Divorce should be the ace up your sleeves, use it when all else fails. Let the mom know u r d boss if he sits at home all day. Then start saving ,both to teach him a lesson and to take care of your kids.

Stop paying any unnncessary bills for him - phone,tv,new clothes. Once you are at work and your kids are at school, leave as little food at home as possible. Then wait n see if he comes to his senses b4 giving him the red card
