Trump signed an EO regarding election integrity. Michigan governor was in the Oval office, her state election of 2020 was fraudulent. She also partook in the fraudulent kidnapping hoax conceived , funded and orchestrated by FBI. The chief architect of this kidnap plot 3 months later was FBI DC Boss when the Fedsurrection took place. SEE IT! Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) seen shielding her face temporarily from the cameras... for some reason. NYT: "Gov. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan stood glumly in the Oval Office, hoping no one would take her picture." Trump Derangement Syndrome makes people go insane! "She had not expected to be there, standing in front of the cameras, as President Trump signed executive orders punishing those who opposed his 2020 election lies." "Then Mr. Trump’s aides surprised her on Wednesday by ushering her into the Oval Office not for her scheduled one-on-one meeting with the president, but for a politically loaded appearance before the press corps. She found herself an unwilling participant in his unending reality show, with photos of her rocketing around group chats of Democratic strategists who wondered what on earth she was doing." That mas master level trolling.

Cococandy. Homeless problem in California to be investigated by the US Attorney office . LA County homeless spending under the microscope of newly appointed US attorney The freshly appointed, MAGA-aligned U.S. attorney for the Central District of California, which includes Los Angeles County, has launched an ambitious new federal criminal task force aimed at forensically investigating how billions in homeless funding over the past five years was spent. “We will get to the bottom of it. And if we find that any federal laws are violated, we will arrest and prosecute those individuals involved,” U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli told Fox News in his first television interview at his office in Downtown Los Angeles. Essayli announced the launch of the Homelessness Fraud and Corruption Task Force, which will include federal prosecutors from the FBI, IRS and HUD. One of the items on the agenda is investigating the results of a recent audit that revealed $2.3 billion of homeless funding is unaccounted for in Los Angeles County alone. “That is not a rounding error. That’s a lot of money. So we want to get to the bottom of where that money went,” Essayli said. It's Sunday..Give thanks to Trump and pray for him today for that. |
IjeBos:Every MB has its own clocking system, it doesn't matter whether the date is wrong. Everything will still work. Programs will use the system time whether it's wrong. Again when using WOL or power on s schedule the computer uses the system time. Some programs might require the correct date and time if they are linking to another system. For instance google search will not work if there is a time difference, about 5 minutes. You can try that. The Master Clock will update to the correct time and date from the CMOS or from external NTP server. Then everything is all dandy. Modern MB esp MacBooks don't have that coin shaped CMOS battery, that's what bemeruca has been telling you |
IjeBos:I get you mean. A computer uses time in every operation. Frequency is a function of time. Processors are defined by their clocking speed. Don't remember much but there are terms like Master Clock , RTS, CTS etc in electronics. Correct time has nothing to do with a motherboard operation. The MB has its own clocking mechanism, eg when copying a file to drive , it will show you the time remaining. That's the MB clock system. The correct date and time does not prevent the MB from doing its thing. Display correct day and time are of course essential but not critical . A computer will still work Either you studied through the window or you have some scant knowledge , certificate level computer knowledge. It's taken you a long time to make your point and you was still wrong somehow. |
budaatum:Alinsly rule No 4. Select your target and freeze it. Your aim. Is to make me appear a liar yet you can't point out a single thing I lied. You can't prove it's a lie. As for you , you support every liberal cause no matter how absurd it is. |
GloriousGbola:Linux/Unix DHCP parameters in a single line: option ntp-servers <server_ip>; option static-routes <destination> <gateway>; Static routes can also be persistent. IOW when your computer gets sn IP address there's more you can serve it. You lied about working in an ISP? Addendum. Mobile phones sync to a BTS ,which uses GPS to keep track of time if your thugs steal the fiber links. |
GloriousGbola:How do mobile phones all show the same time to the millisecond if using the same mobile network. |
IjeBos:BIOS has the PC time.. On older models and standalones that time will be indicated. Otherwise you can set your PC to sync with a time server. A local time server that syncs with publicly available NTP servers syncs all your network devices. On gateway routers depending on complexity , you can force every external time sync request to be served by the router. |
GloriousGbola:Is your PC a domain client? Or because you can print to a printer on the server it's a client ? |
IjeBos:Now you are talking like you gone to a lecture theatre . You know you can pass parameters like static routes and NTP server when a computer on the LAN boots up. And a whole lot more. |
bemeruca:He did Computer engineering ![]() |
IjeBos:In a LAN you have the NTP server. If you don't know about Windows Server , any computer on the domain automatically uses the Domain Controller to obtain the time. An inhouse exchange server must have correct timestamps for every message sent or recieved. If you set your domain Controller time wrong every domain PC will display that irrespective of it's CMOS. Not always if you manually set every workstation to use a different NTP server. Once a workstation boots up ,using DHCP it gets info from the nearest DC including the time. A standalone PC can also be set to use a time server |
IjeBos:They can use NTP , can't they? Of you remove your landfill computer CMOS you can use this .

IjeBos:I asked Grok. Modern laptops without a traditional CMOS battery still maintain real-time clock (RTC) functionality by using alternative methods to power and store system time and BIOS/UEFI settings. Here's how they achieve this: Non-Volatile Memory (NVRAM or Flash Memory): Instead of relying on a CMOS chip powered by a battery, many newer laptops store BIOS/UEFI settings in non-volatile memory, such as flash RAM. This type of memory retains data without continuous power, eliminating the need for a traditional CMOS battery to preserve settings like boot order or hardware configurations. Integrated RTC with Main Battery or Supercapacitor: The RTC, which keeps track of time and date, is often integrated into the motherboard's chipset or a dedicated RTC module. Instead of a separate CMOS battery, the RTC can draw minimal power from the laptop’s main battery (even when the device is off) or a small supercapacitor. These components provide enough power to maintain the clock for extended periods without needing a dedicated coin-cell battery. Network Time Protocol (NTP) Sync: Many modern laptops rely on internet connectivity to sync time via NTP servers upon boot. If the RTC loses track of time (e.g., due to complete power loss), the operating system can automatically update the clock once connected to the internet, reducing dependency on a local battery-powered clock. Soldered or Embedded RTC Battery: In some cases, rather than a removable CMOS battery, laptops use a small, soldered RTC battery directly on the motherboard. These are designed to last the device's lifespan and are less prone to replacement issues, maintaining RTC functionality without user intervention. Power Management Features: Advanced power management in modern chipsets allows the RTC to operate in ultra-low-power states, drawing negligible current from the main battery or residual power circuits, ensuring the clock keeps running even when the laptop is powered off or unplugged. Why Move Away from Traditional CMOS Batteries? Space Constraints: Thinner laptops lack room for a bulky coin-cell battery and its holder. Longevity: Non-volatile memory and integrated solutions reduce maintenance needs. Cost and Simplicity: Eliminating a separate battery simplifies manufacturing and design. Trade-Offs Power Dependency: If the main battery is completely drained or removed and no internet is available, the laptop may lose time/date settings until synced. Repair Complexity: Soldered RTC batteries or integrated solutions can be harder to service compared to replaceable CMOS batteries. In summary, laptops without CMOS batteries use non-volatile memory for settings, integrated RTC modules, and power from the main battery or supercapacitors, supplemented by NTP for time accuracy. This approach suits compact, modern designs while maintaining essential functionality. |
GloriousGbola:https://www.nairaland.com/4508641/american-politics-thread-trump-47th/5052#134959830 Don't remind me that You rarely get 12V DC solar panels nowadays. |
IjeBos:Tech changes a lot quickly. When Neil. Armstrong landed on the moon they was using slide rules and mathematical tables for calculations. |
Budaatum. I always appreciate you. Im never too bothered over mundane shit. From you I learnt that if I share a post , the OP knows it's me who agrees with the sentiment expressed. I love humanity and what it does to improve humanity. Now that's a hackneyed expression. |
IjeBos:Ijebos . Computer engineering.Look for RTC in modern laptops . In my time the village oafs were the ones who studied through the windows >> They was outside class doing punishments when learning was going on and peering in . |

Satirical babylonbee.com CUPERTINO, CA — Apple CEO Tim Cook warned today that heavy tariffs on Chinese imports could have a severe negative effect on employment opportunities for child slaves. With President Trump's tariffs offsetting the production advantage China has of producing cheap goods with slave labor, Apple expressed concern that child slaves would be left with nothing to do with their tiny, nimble hands. |

GloriousGbola:The lifting of reciprocal sanctions apply to all countries . Consider Germany is amost at par with China exports in PLCs and Variable Speed Drives. |
budaatum:You go too far being more British than British itself, if you know what I mean. |
Ibime:I also see it this way. Gen Z and other young voters would be badly hit especially with iphones, pads and laptops. This is a win for the younger generation who can't do without TikTok. |
