They were responding to an emergency appeal filed there. There is a lower court hearing the same. In effect the SCOTUS remanded it to a lower court. The appeals process will go back to them eventually.

Rubbish. The standards for passing clinical trials are clear and Ivermectin and HCL can't pass such standards. A patient has to be sick in order for you to say a drug worked, otherwise how do you know the patient wouldn't have recovered anyway, afterall 98% of people recover from Covid with no medical intervention. Ivermectin and HCL are more like prophylactics that you have immediately after getting the virus but before you get sick. They stop the virus from multiplying, giving your immune system better chance against lower viral population. They don't kill the virus. Therefore they cannot pass any clinical trial on sick patients.
