So you move on to the Judge who is now biased because she asked Jack Smith to write the brief and he wrote a long one because that is exactly what the Supreme Court asked the Judge to do when they remanded the case.

1). The article referenced a 60 day rule. But there is no official 60 day rule or even 90 day rule. It is a norm or practice not codified anywhere in writing in any DOJ manual. The practice is that 60 days before an election you can't indict or do specific investigative steps. The reason is not to allow politics to play a role. An example would be a corrupt DOJ indicting a candidate or announcing they had opened an investigation 10 days before an election. There is no way for the candidate to clear their name in that time. So that indictment/announcement would hang over there head whether it was true or not. Exactly what happened to Hillary Clinton.

2.) What separates this matter even more and makes that "60 day rule" more moot is that this case has been brought and is in front of a Judge. The DOJ no longer makes the decisions as to the timing of briefings. The Judge does. The Judge set the time for this brief. Jack Smith had to oblige.

The author of that op-ed was being somewhat disingenuous. Though if you had bothered to read it before posting it, you would have noticed he did say the 60 day deadline was not an actual written rule.
