Christianity EtcRe: Seeking The Face Of God - The Journey by basille(m): 9:22am On Aug 17, 2014
Lmfao, why should unbelievers keep out, is that how the bible taught Christians to behave?

Op, one advice for you. In your quest to seek whatsoever don't starve yourself so you won't end up mistaking the growl of an empty stomach for the voice of God.

Who knows, one of this days, i might consider seeking the face of amadioha.
Christianity EtcRe: Ye Are Gods, All Of You, All 100 Trillion Of You. by basille(m):
plaetton: If we agree that the microbial flora make up more than 90% of our body cells, and that they are social creatures with social structures that resemble our own, then the important common sense question is :
Are they mimicking us or are we mimicking them ?
Logically, you can't mimick what is part of you. The variations in structures of the acclaimed "microbial flora" is what make up the social structure of humans. No one is mimicking each other, the microbial flora are the basic component that make up the social structure of humans.
P.S: i have no idea what or if the microbial flora makes up the body cell. This post is based on the assertion Are they mimicking us or are we mimicking them ?

Was expecting an expatiation of freewill in relation to the Society ( a topic for another day), then again freewill in relation to microbiology of humans is more advanced.

To me, i don't think there's such a thing as absolute freewill (or atleast it can't be easily attained) for the common man, there's a lot of factors involved.

ThaRuthlxx7: GOD is the creator of heaven and the earths. Even the energy y'all talking about is still God... Without God no nairaland
Energy is responsible for the heavens and earth. Even the God you talk about is still Energy. Without Energy "no nairaland" is just the tip of the iceberg.

Kay17: So why use the word God?
Let me remind you the topic of the thread again? "How do you define God"
Cos God is not a simple word, it has its hidden meaning
Different meanings you mean? I'm not disputing that the word "God" has different or hidden meaning (to different people) that is why i gave mine in my previous post.
God is Energy to my understanding.

Christianity EtcRe: How Do You Defined GOD by basille(m): 9:41am On Aug 16, 2014
Kay17: There is one of the dangers of defining God outside the context of religion, because you would end up making redundancy of the word energy and you wouldn't make much sense.
This is one of the dangers of not understanding God outside the context of religion, because you would end up with only one inadequate definition of the word energy and thereby continue to exhibit ignorance.
Christianity EtcRe: How Do You Defined GOD by basille(m):
How do i define God?
God is an energy responsible for the universe and keeping all of its elements working together in harmony. It isn't anthropomorphic so it can't hear or answer prayers neither can it perform miracles or any other superstitions that delusional people do believe.

Who is God?
The air you breath, that's God. The cool evening breeze that roughens your hair? that's God. The heat from the sun that dries up your wet cloth? that's God. That cool morning dew that dampens the grass in your yard? that's God. The gravity at the center of the earth? that's God. The bright light from the moon that illuminates your room at night? that's God.

God is everywhere. God is simply just PURE ENERGY.

Christianity EtcRe: Non-theists, What Is (are) The Benchmark(s) For Your Morality? by basille(m):
There's no such thing as Good or Bad (ask moral nihilists), it all depends on the perspective. Good, bad, Right and Wrong are just terminologies used to define what we humans feel, experience, or encounter at a particular time (subjected to change) irrespective of its validity.

A quick example: Marijuana is illegal in some countries, and to some people the intake of it can be consider as wrong/bad while to some others, its intake can be considered as Right/Good.

Then to a someone who grew up with the prejudice or who has always thought of it's intake as being wrong, then takes it later, and experiences the positive effect of it's elevation from depression, such a person can reconsider its intake as Right/Good.
It all cases, right or wrong are what each individually feels(its also subjected to change).

In general, we humans base morality on what we perceive (at a particular time towards an action) especially in the society, there's no generally accepted, accurate (i.e proven) standard for basing morality, and that's where the major flaw lies because rules, regulations and laws are all created on this inaccurate bases.
But then again validity for morality can't be ever known.

Left to me, i base my morality on empathy.

Christianity EtcRe: Agnostics, Atheists, Humanists, Sceptics Let's Now Form Our Organisation by basille(m): 9:51pm On Aug 13, 2014
For some time now i have been having the same thought (especially the physical meeting aspect) for fellows with similar views. Yea it gets lonely sometimes (in a religiously crazy country like this where stigmatization is common ), and i would love to engage in intellectual discussions with like minds.
I'm currently schooling in Awka, Anambra State and would like to become part of such organisation (distance problem). A problem for this organisation is that anybody can pose as an atheist and be welcomed.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Are You An Atheist? by basille(m): 8:20pm On Aug 13, 2014
Because the concept of a God in heaven or any diety at all makes no sense to me.

I have not used an opsson 6655, but i handled the gionee m2 smartphone somedays back, the phone is nothing to write home about, the display is shabby and washed-out. The phone is on the huge side and could pass as a weapon.
But then again i haven't handled the opsson 6655.
Left to me Op i would say you should go for Tecno H7.
Edit: Tecno h7 is a reap-off, there are much better cheaper phones.

I'm not saying the dude is a Scammer but his Nonchalancy is very suspicious.
