Obi1kenobi: Says the simple-minded comedian that can't quite grasp how 40 million people across the SE, SS and lower reaches of the Middle Belt came to adopt a common tongue, culture and consciousness (unlike the Binis for example many of whose progeny now assert distinct identities all over the SS) and somehow thinks this was accomplished without the any quality of diplomatic engagement. And spent time pouring out his laughable revisionist history thinking it impresses anyone rather than expose his ignorance. The only thing I'm "aware" of is your amusing pride in your crass ignorance. Gbam. Igbos have created a uniform political consciousness in SE, SS and most part on NC. Kanu almost ruined it though |

pazienza: Basically everything Ndiigbo do in national politics is misintepreted and given negative coloration by Nigerians.
Ndiigbo supported OBJ in 1999, 2003, despite PDP maltreatment of Ekwueme. On normal basis , this should be us reaching out and building solidarity with Yorubas. But do Nigerians see it that way? Nope. We are being told told we are stupid for doing so. If for any reason we refused to support OBJ , we would be told we are tribalists.
If we vote in block, we would be told we are naive for puting our eggs in one basket, but if we don't, we would be told that we are confused and not united and our divided voting pattern would be used to justify the point.
Currently, all Yorubas states are all under APC and we are being told it's Mark of political sophistication. I remember when all Igbo states were controlled by PDP, and Yorubas by mixture of AD, PDP and LP, we were told that Yorubas are wise and sophisticated for not putting all their eggs in one basket. Now APGA, APC and PDP are in the East, but the narrative has changed.
I have heard a SS minority tell me that Ndiigbo caused GEJ failure in 2015. His logic was that we caused it by supporting GEJ. That we attracted Igbo hate to GEJ. Imaginr what the narrative would be if we didn't support GEJ. It would be that we are unforgiving, jealous and wicked, and refused to vote for him because of hate we have for Ijaws.
Let me tell you, it doesn't matter what Ndiigbo do, Nigerians would always attach negative coloration to it. No big deal here. Let us also yerobanize Buhari and tell yorubas how politically naive they are by allowing one party dominate their region |

kotv: All southern zone would not get the president slot anytime soon. The yorubas destroyed the chance for all of us with that lifeless one they brought onto us. Due to what happened, the SE wouldn't vote for a SW presidency neither will SW vote for SE presidency. Sadly, whoever from the south will need at least 25% from South. The person can gain it from SS but the guarantee is slim. The Yoruba has delta south and central and edo that'll vote for them while the ibos has ibos in ss that'll vote for them plus the ethnicities closest to them. My people, ijaw, will be deciding factor of where ss votes goes based on who is the best option for us. Either way, with such division, I do not see the president position going to south anytime soon. Both yoruba and ibos are wasting their time on the 2023 president position. The yoruba destroyed any southern unity being built and Kanu came and burned the remaining to the ground. Exactly. Right now we need your support for vp, you will need our later. You also had our support for GEJ. Right now southern presidency is very unlikely in nearest future no thanks to yorubas |

horsepower101: Nigeria will always remain tribalistic. That will never change. It’s was us igbos that didn’t realize this critical fact and we have paid dearly for it. We have to become very aggressive in the push for our interest. Stop giving a damn about other tribes before you do things. They have shown consistently that they don’t give a damn about us and are always willing to throw us under the bus to advance their own agenda.
THIS MUST STOP IN THIS GENERATION. We should have dumped GEJ in 2015. We would have easily produced VP |

But my only reservation is that igbo invest Majority of their profits from other parts of Nigeria in igboland.
Stop developing other parts of Nigeria and investing all your sweat and blood there. The envious indigenes can wake up one morning and burn it down or take it from you. Nigeria economy is too tied to politics. That's the problem |
Politics › Re: 2019 Presidency: PDP Gives Atiku Conditions For Picking Vice President by basilo101: 1:56pm On Oct 10, 2018 |
Ebi4life: I am from the south south, I will advice the PDP to pick the VP from the SW. My reason is that the SE has a very low voters strength. Remember 2015 an entire state in the SE was only able to produce 300, 000 vote for PDP. Our igbo brothers were busy doing their business in their shops. The SW has more voters strength and are more politically enlightened than the SE. It will be a big mistake to give the VP slot to the SE because all the votes from the SE put togther is equivalent to Lagos and oyo state votes. The SE people don't usually come out in mass to vote. They prefer to go and sell in their shops during election day. Check 2011. SE was heavily disenfranchised in 2015. They vety scared of SE in 2015 and did everything possible to disenfranchise the region |
