How many shopping plazas are in PH as against Enugu? Enugu has always been bigger PH.
Enugu city is larger than PH city but numerous ikwerre villages claim PH giving PH a larger metro area

Besides i said that Okorocha has done some warehouses to improve his own airport. What has the clueless gbuurugburu done so far to improve the condition and image of Enugu state local airport? Nothing.
Rochas built village halls. NAHCO is not in owerri

[quote author=pazienza post=71835850]International traffic that is mainly pilgrimage to mecca and that had been bolstered by Big FG investments in key infrastructures for international operations, while every devilish tactics available, including closing down the airport over flimsy excuses of repairs in festive seasons like Christmas and Easter, had been deployed by the FG to frustrate passengers out of the airport, as if starving the airport of infrastructures is not bad enough.

Must you cry?

Priority should be given to Owerri airport due to traffic than the Enugu state airport that doesn't have traffic at all. Even Okorocha has done some warehouses in his state airport but ugwuanyi is all sitting around waiting for the FG to do everything for them.
Nigeria Aviation Handling Company finished their warehouse in Enugu in 2015

Really? Do you have statistics to back that up, Chino?
Kano route to SE is via owerri and yes owerri has higher local traffic. But local traffic matter less otherwise Kano won't be a top priority as it is

Obi1kenobi:
Look at the international traffic. The international traffic of Enugu and PH airport combined is far less than Kano's - less than half of Kano is some quarters. Lagos, Abuja and Kano are Nigeria's biggest international hubs. So we're doing well to even secure international status and development of PH's airport. Again, these are practical realities. It's also one of the reasons I believe Anambra's Umueri cargo airport is another white elephant project which will go the way of Tinapa. We are not a major aviation hub.
The only reason I support enugu international is because of anti igbo stance of PH. as for anambra, na bush clearing till infinity

The SS don't see you the way you see them.
We have no point sharing PH airport with anyone.

Enugu Airport is not doing Bad as it stands, despite numerous incessant closures by the FG to frustrate those who patronize the airport into choosing other airports. The Airport still generates more traffic than Kano airport.

And stop being mischievous. We know how you feel about Imo and Owerri. Your opinion wouldn't be different if we are talking about making Owerri an international airport.

Nke anyi bu nkem Anyi, nke ha , bu nke ha.

Enugu bu Nke Anyi. PH is a bi ethnic city shared by Ikwerres and Ijaws, two ethnic groups that deeply resent Ndiigbo.
Why are you talking chino too seriously. We reject PH. Enugu we know. PH is anti-igbo. Amaechi is jittery over Enugu airport hence the incessant closures

What is the air traffic for Kano and other NE airports?

Enugu and Owerri has more traffic than Kano airport. So, if we are talking about practical and feasibility issues here, then we should be considering Air traffic.

Nope, SE isn't same with SS. They are distinct regions. Nigerians tell us this Everyday.

The argument of landmass is redundant, you can't eat your cake and have it. The Nigerian revenue sharing formula considers landmass, which means states with Landmass gets more allocations, while those with lesser landmass gets less. You can't come back and still suffer those with small landmass by telling them they don't deserve an International airport of their own, simply because their zone is closer to another zone.

PH airport can never serve SE. Never. I attached the air traffic chart below.
Go and check international traffic. Kano is almost Enugu and PH combined. The reason Kano is low in local traffic is because abuja is three and half hours with very good road and you know abuja route command high traffic

Obi1kenobi:
Buhari is certainly an ethnic bigot, but picking 4 international airports to focus on doesn't necessarily mean he deliberately set out to discriminate against Igbos. You would note that there are 4 airports being revamped at pace for the 6 geopolitical zones. You failed to factor that the North East are disadvantaged too. Kano's airport would basically be serving the massive 13 states of the core North in the NW and NE. In geopolitical calculations, the SE due to its location on the Nigeria map often gets grouped with the SS. Which would make sense seeing as we're in close proximity (you could basically group both the SS and SE together as a united SE) and are the 2 smallest regions by landmass, with some elements of cultural affinity too. Anambra, Imo and Abia are closer to the PH airport than Edo or Cross River are to PH even though Edo, Cross River and PH are in the same geopolitical zone. Those SE states are closer to PH than Kaduna or Zaria in Kaduna state are to Kano's airport, even though Kaduna and Kano states share borders. These are practical considerations.

Another hard truth here is the role that Stella Oduah played as Transportation minister. Woman should be stoned for her incompetence and disloyalty to her zone. It was under her that the Enugu airport runway degenerated so badly , arriving passengers were swimming in flood to get to the terminal and she did some woeful cosmetic touches in the name of renovation at inflated cost.
Hehe. Our celebrators will kill you for not celebrating Odua. Enugu has never been in same class with those 4 airports. I believe Enugu will be among second batch in the nearest future. In fact, if not for anti-igbo stance of PH, we would have been cool with PH airport

Jews had always told who ever that cared to listen since antiquity that they are the "chosen people ". They show no subtlety about this, and they genuinely believe and propagate this, to the envy of their inferiority complex suffering hosts and neighbors.
Whoever say there isn't arrogance about the Jewish ways, is either being mischievous or plain ignorant.

Hmmm. Enugu state airport is a local airport and was only "international" on paper. The necessary facilities were never there, the run presently is a mess. Besides there is no traffic on that airport, so no need of wasting money further on it.

For now Nigeria can do with..

Lagos International airport-- SW

Abuja International airport-- NC

Kano International airport- NE/NW

Port Harcourt International airport-- SE/SS
Yes. Enugu airport is dead. We are waiting for umueri bush clearing exercise

Your wish is that it falls below standard but will actually be the most beautiful structure in the SE. Enugu ICC that looks like a plate that was started 12yrs ago has still not been completed till date even though that nonsense is far far even the worst standard i have ever seen in Nigeria.

Enugu state leaders are usually myopic and not visionary, and that is the reason the state has remained an ordinary state filled with only poor civil servants.
Enugu ICC looking like a plate actually makes it an architectural masterpiece

I am happy that some of you know how to praise the Igbo spirit. I am also happy that some of you know how to critic the Igbo people.

The only problem I have with you all is that none of you have done anything about the present situation we are finding ourselves now in Nigeria.

None of you are saying anything about the primaries today.

None of you are saying anything about the political exclusion of our people in the workings of this country. I know we don't want to be part of it but gaining nothing is next to stupidity.

None of you are talking about the lack of new things happening in the region.

You all are here, brandishing your grandiloquent use of Oxford dictionary to outdo the next person's stand about our people.

None of you are seeing the infrastructural decay in the east. None of you are seeing that we are at the mercy of the people we choose to chastise. They are going to decide who will rule us, the kind of security we will have, the kind of project we will be having and other things in our own land. Those are not our problems, our problem is "who is igbo" and "who isn't". So much braggadocios over nothing. A complete third word region doing nothing about its people.

Bloody internet Jews!
This all started when some people insisted that they must celebrate "their own". What is here to celebrate? I have been saying it's better we face contemporary issues than those ugly past

I saw the render of that Awka ICC some years back! It's gigantic!

Judging by the ongoing joke that is Umueri int'l airport, i'm not expecting to see any pics on that ICC project that'll wow me! After raising my hopes so high when Obiano commenced his first term as governor, i'm now starting to get that sinking feeling that the seismic shift in governance we were all hoping for in Anambra would yet again have to wait for the next person to take the saddle of governance! sad
it will definitely fall below expectations. Anambra always set unrealistic target but achieve little. They keep shouting Dubai when they are below Nigerian standard

[sup][/sup] Now you see why people doubt your authenticity? Do you really know the distance between Onitsha and Awka? There are three local governments between Onitsha and Awka ie Idemmili,Oyi and Njikoka. Onitsha will rather swallow and merge with Asaba and much of Idemmili north and south. Awka is a far distant possibility. Such statement from you clearly betrayed your claims and bursted you more.
Lol. Onitsha has already swallowed asaba. It has also merged with Nnewi at Oba. In awka axis it is closing in on Nteje. It will meet awka at awkuzu very soon
