It’s raining visas o!!!
Visa collected for family of five (5) today. *Biometrics: 22 September Ikeja TLS (Priority for all 5 of us) *Sent to DMC same day and received by DMC... Then it decided to hang there. *Declared previous travels to US and UK as well as previous refusals (one refusal for US last year and one for UK 11 years ago). *No non-straightforward mail, but I was so anxious when the 5-working day priority period elapsed. Sent a mail to UK Visa and Immigration last week Tuesday and got a response to provide more details for investigation (GWF number, passport number, date of birth, place of application, date of biometrics. reason for escalation etc.). Nothing heard from them again till now. *Got collection mail for all 5 of us yesterday between 2:44pm and 3:06pm. *Picked up today after waiting on a long queue for almost two hours. Next plan- Travel.
Although I had already submitted our visa application before joining this thread, I enjoyed following the conversations and got one or two learnings from here.
Thanks to all who support others here and congrats in advance to all waiting to collect their visas.
God is great!!! |

Log on to the UK VI website where you did the application. Click on “provide documents and biometrics” at the bottom of the page. Follow the prompt and click continue. It will redirect you to the TLScontact page. Click on track application. ocpaschal: how do i check visa tracking status? |

I agree with you. No matter what info you get from here, it’s good to cross check from the UK dot GOV website. I had already submitted my application before I started following this thread... Babababy: We all need to careful where you source information from, always make sure you use available tools and double check info even if it’s coming from people you might consider learned, exposed or in Nairaland terms “ guru” always do your due deligence. Fact checking would save your money
The dependent visa is set up so students can bring their families over to the UK legally, so if they expect you to bring your family then they obviously know the implications. In the early stages of this platform, we have had situations where a student applied alone without her dependant husband and was refused because she didn’t have a valid reason for why her husband wasn’t traveling with her. In the same vein some have applied without spouse and got the visa, there is absolutely no secret to it, if your intentions are straight forward and you have all your funds then apply with all your family, it is not illegal and if you ask me, your chances are higher applying together.
Regarding POF, go read page one with a pen and paper or a calculator, all your answers are in there and well tabled out by the facilitator of the thread. The knowledge in there is invaluable.
Back to due diligence, if you open your web browser and type in “ how much do I need for a family of five for ukvi student and dependent visa “ you would be overwhelmed with information, and part of the hits you would get would also redirect you to same Nairaland.
And then, the ultimate resource is the ukvi website, every single information regarding this process is in there.
Even when you get info you don’t need at the moment, you can still learn and help someone with the same info in future. This venture is very expensive, and some only have one chance at it, you can’t afford to be swallowing second hand information. |

They may still send it this evening- you never know. They may also send it tomorrow morning. My family (4 dependants) got transferred to VAC yesterday. Mine got transferred today. We all got collection mail between 2:44pm and 3:04pm today and will pick up tomorrow. It’s seems TLS likes sending most collection mails close to the time they close for the day. #My thoughts. Maxicon: Hello Guys,
My application shows transferred to VAC on the tracking status since yesterday evening. Please how long should one expect mail from TLS? |

Hello, ma’am. “Premium lounge” is different from “priority.” If you paid for priority as well, then anytime from now you should get your visa. I believe you would need to wait for the full length of your application to elapse (5 working days for priority, 15 working days for standard, and 24 hours for super priority) before you can send a mail. Use this link to send the mail which costs £ 2.74 GPB: https://ukvi.mysecurepay.co.uk/HomeYou will need your card to pay. Preferably a pound denominated card. Hope this helps. Newwoman: Good afternoon, Please I applied on the 15th and did my biometric on 17th of September. I paid for premium lounge. I saw that someone got a visa within 12days days please is it ok to send mail to ukvi now. And please can you send me the email address. @ Scobby and @ Justwise. Pls help |

Amen o. Congrats!!! Atk112: Visa Alert ✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️ Its a long read!
Its been a super long journey but God has been good and kind to me!!!
Nigeria frustrated me baje.
To collect transcript, to renew passport, hmmm.
The day I went for capturing for my passport renewal, I got there at 7am and at 4pm when it was my turn to capture, I was told my passport was not activated, so I can't capture, I cried ehn. No be small tears that day. Captured 3 days later.
Eventually came out after 6 weeks.
Then after paying school fees through 3rd party, biggest mistake! School said they don't accept 3rd party payment, I should provide all my forefather's document before they can apply it for me, I took it to God and eventually after a month, they confirmed it and credited it to my name. I still had to make another payment through the bank.
Through all the ups and downs, I held on to God's word which says "I'll never leave you nor forsake you". And He never did!
Got admission - 23rd July POF matured - 7th Sept CAS issued 14th Sept Applied 16th Sept Bio-metrics - 17th Sept NSF mail - 22nd Sept Collection mail - 4th Oct
Bristol, Here I come. For all still on the journey, God will perfect it for you in Jesus name! |

I’m new here but have tried to catch up with this thread. Very informative at best. •Applied and went for biometric September 22. Ikeja VAC •Paid for priority for all applicants (family of 5) •Sent paid email and another to PTA Visa Correspondence •Also just saw that Tls has reset the tracking page for all of us. I guess their system is down but I’m honestly at wits end from waiting. In-person enrollment at my school ends October 15. One needs to travel soon considering quarantine requirements. I pray we get collection mail by Monday or Tuesday seeing that today is gone already. *Sighs* |
