ademcoboy: Hello prospective Canadian Students,
As a follower of this thread, I have gained seriously from information been shared here by co-lovers of Canada.
Kudos to every who have been asking and answering questions here. Indeed, You are doing since great community service work at zero cost.
It is imperative to let everyone asking questions here know that answers are provided to them based on individual or personal experiential opinion which may apparently be helpful for approval or even cause confusion that can results to painful delay. This is because those answering questions are not Canadian Immigration consultants. Infact a lot of people who haven't applied are scared of been refused before applying already. Majority of our Senior friend who are presently in Canada don't really have time to contribute due to their tight schedules. Greater proportion of those available to answer questions are even still battling with their application, infact , Some haven't submitted their application. So why kill yourself with someone's reply to your question.
We have seen a lot of miracles on this thread, some people have applied with only funding letter and got approval, someone with full funding and only 56,000naira in his account got it. Somebody recently got approval within a day. Many PGD and 1Masters applicant have shared approval testimonies. Sincerely, individual cases are different. Some didn't even submit police clearance, landed property or even LOE and they got approved. When God says YES, who can say NO.
My candid advice, If u haven't gotten admission offer yet, focus on that first and read on this thread before disturbing yourself with anxiety of either TRV success or refusal. Follow your mind to select the best route for your application and don't let anyone scare you with refusal. Never base your application only on the info you get here, Do extra work by reading all necessary information on CIC website. You can as well contact the Canadian immigration consultant in your proposed University as I know University of Alberta has. An online webinar was organized by University of Alberta recently to share tip on study permit application to prospective students, some of what we learnt there have never been shared here because the presentations where done by registered Immigration consultants. They covet more questions from us as soon as we have one. Gather your documents well and have faith in God.. Let your SOP/LOE be original. Don't edit someone else own, plagiarism is a serious offence.. Explain things that are special to you. Keep it simple and straight forward. Address all the questions expected to be answered in it. Never rush in writing it.
Frankly, I tailored this post to build the hope of someone. If you have done your assignment well. Only visa Officer can determine the outcome of your applications. Just use information gotten here as extra guide and not a major procedural manual.
May all those who have submitted and those yet to submit to CIC either by online or paper route get approval. Medical and passport request mail will roll in..
Kind Regards Amen.....and thanks for the advise |

Frankrobbn1: Go ahead and give explanations to it. I don't think it will be declared as lump sum deposit. Since it has a far date between both transcations. Okay sir |

Frankrobbn1: Bbclue! It would have been a better option if you submitted the T/Bills certificate to support your claims. But nevertheless since it was clearly stated on his bank statement and you gave explanations to that. V.O will understand that it wasn't an intentional lump sum deposit but from a reliable source. I don't think you should have problem on this. If I may ask, was this deposit made recently let say this month or ending of last month? The first one was October 27million And second January 19th is an upfront payment from CBN of 11million |

Frankrobbn1: Femiart, Welcome to the forum! Well, using your father as the main sponsor would have been the best here, but nevertheless you can still use your uncle. You need to show proof of relationship with your sponsor(Uncle). Please don't do the mistake of submitting only your uncle company bank statements as the primary proof of funds to your application, endeavour to add his personal financial establishment (Personal bank statement for 6 months). Reasons because visa officers don't regard Company bank statements. From the look of things, your sponsor(Uncle) already has 3 kids studying in Canada, plus you making 4. The financial strain will be on him. I'll advise you hide your sponsor kids from your application, don't let the visa officer know about it. It may lead to visa refusal, since you're only using your uncle to get your TRV. Ask your father to pay up your tuition fees and transfer your living expenses into your account, then your uncle will be a credible sponspor in the sight of the visa officer.
Since your sponsor(Uncle)is business incline, you need the following documents from him.
Sponsors documents.
1)Letter of sponsorship 2)Affidavit of sponsorship 3)statement of account of the past 6 months business and personal bank statement. 4)landed property documents 5)Land survey plan and approval documents. 6)Proof of ownership of business (Article and association of memorandum) 7)CAC documents ( proof to show the business is Registered) 8 ) Sponspor International passage bio data page 9)Tax clearance certificate 10)Treasury bills certificate 11)Letter of reference from SPONSPOR bank(stating he is the sole signatory to the account and has been running from said date till date).
I hope this goes a long way in answering your questions.
All the best! Good pm ...please questions 10....says treasury bill...now my sponsor has a lump sum of 60million credited by cbn. ..and the narration in the bank statement was interest from cbn for N/Treasury bill...for 182days.....and the second was interest from cbn of 24million for 91days.....now my sponsor is not around to give me the treasury bill certificate but on my own i wrote a separate letter of Explanation for lump sum credited by cbn....n I subhead it with date...narration.....reference number and amount......explaining how the money came in...hope it will not stop my application but all other documents like employment letter....payslips are attached ...please advise |

Frankrobbn1: Perfectly okay sister. Shares documents/certificates, business investment, landed property etc...are documents use to show proof of personal assests, you must not have all. The documents you provided is sufficient. Make sure you draw the attention of the visa officer towards those documents on your SOP. Okay thanks sir.....I did explain it in my sop. ...but I just wrote Equity in business.....because the money in my company name is strictly for business only....and that will prompt me to come back home after study....I didn't print bank statement. .....since am using my Aunt as sponsored |

Frankrobbn1: CC:Bbclue She is correct. Tell them that the curriculum differs, the course in canada has added this and which is not part of the curriculum here in Nigeria. To support your claims you quickly read through your course website and include those courses that are not found here in Nigeria.
All the best! Okay Noted thanks |

jnyuwa02: It has got to be more than curriculum difference and faculty reputation between both countries to pass that prong where you are required to demonstrate why you want to study in Canada and not in Nigeria. I just read an SOP from an applicant going for philosophy with specialization in the Hegel school of thought in the understanding of difference and identity. She talked about how difference and identity in Nigeria has always been a tool of division, warfare and nepotism. She wanted to do research in that area and be exposed to how Canada has handled it's multicultural issues and channeled such differences as a tool of cooperation, not warfare and division like Nigeria. She was confident the way Canada handled it can serve as blueprint for her nation, Nigeria. I think that is how you effectively handle such issues, not simply talking about curriculum difference between both countries. Ok bye and best of luck! Okay noted....thanks |

Youngblood28: Good day pals I have been a silent reader here for a couple of months now. I got my offer letter for fall 2017 sometime in March 2017 and proceeded with an online application( heard it was faster and more convenient) on the 5th of May2017, biometrics was done on the 9th of May2017 and I checked processing, it was about 14weeks then, so I relaxed. Wrote cic a couple of times when resumption was really close and my village people hijacked the mails. I had no choice but to defer the admission to fall 2018, because that is the only slot available. As God will have it, I got a medical call late November and a passport request 29th of Jan 2018. I wasn’t going to post this until I see the visa, but I want to encourage those who have been waiting this long not to give up hope, I pray you cannot wait this long and get a refusal IJN. Praise God ooooooooooo |

Frankrobbn1: Hi bbclue, I have no template available for that. But from my experience in the Canadain student visa, this is one of the easiest refusal reason one can tackle on his/her GCMS NOTE. Your sponsor needs to address all lump sum deposit with concrete reasons and proof like where the origin of such amount of money is coming from. Was it through business sales/transcations? You need to provide the receipts of such transactions. House rents fees - provide reciepts issued to your tenants. Sales of landed property - provide reciepts of the sold land.
There are no special way of addressing Lump sum deposit. Just provide proof and explanations and you are good to go. Okay thanks I told my sponsored he said he will give me the invoice of the transaction |
