Online route is better during the high season period. VFS does send all your docs to Nairobi or Ghana. What they do is to scan the basic docs to them leaving behind many vital docs that explain certain areas of application.

And it's obviously a paper application. Only paper applicants drop their passport alongside their visa application.

What you will do is if you submit paper route.....check your email...inbox or spam....and if is up to two week since the refusal came in kindly go to vfs with the collection receipt they gave u when u submitted .....

Or if it is online you did....u can wait for them to send you an email or text message that your process passport has been dispatched....


.or you can check through Google search....how to track my application through vfs.......or vfs...it will show u if it is dispatched or not. ...is the simplest

But before then u can order for your gcms note online so you can know the actual refusal reasons....

Then after your gcmsnote come out....come here and asked your questions it will be solved

What do you think of an SOP of 18 pages;

- 4 pages is me talking about why I’m doing an MBA, and detailing my visa history and funding

- 7 pages is me showing scans of my current and previous passports, my UK residence permit for when I was a student over there, and other stamps for other countries I’ve visited

- 2 pages is scans of my engineering BSc and MSc

- 2 pages for my TRU admission letter and Payment receipt of First semester tuition

- 3 pages for my dad’s authorisation letter, a scan of his passport & my birth certificate

I was denied the Canada student visa once, so this time I want to be perfect at the SOP.

As highlighted in your GCMS note and rightly pointed out by JoseJonn, get you a course related to your previous diploma degree and work experience. Physics just does not seem in line with your history

Oga is not a must you get related course....see if you can convince the v.o of your diversion to another course....men you go enter Canada....all it need is well suited explanation and I think your sop need small touch light......since your father is your sponsor it goes well.....

I don't believe this. My dear I can't remembered the last time my dad said he pays annual dues or this yearly filling u are talking about but his company is still registered and still there.

If your dad company is in operation then he must have been paying tax at federal level....asked him there must be a consultant he his working with.....or he his doing it by himself.......if a consultant is filing for him you would know....and when the consultant is submitting his audited financial statements or unaudited financial statement or statement of affairs to revelant authorised such as firs....3 copies will be printed....to firs....they will give him his own stamp copy...remaining 2copis with them..the other copy will be forwarded to CAC ..


Well CAC has started closing business names that are not remitting annual due or doing filing.....all do notices are giving before any action are taken......I work with an Auditing firm ....tax department to be precise. ....I know a little but I don't know all....

Even that one thousand for annual filing is for the first year of registration of business and continue every year before July 1st after July 1st if you didn't pay the one thousand nairaland it is assumed you made late payment and it will increased to 3500 for the year you didn't pay the 1000...

20hours per week is less than 3 hours daily. Thats okay, considering one has to also study. Please do you have an idea on how much one could get paid per hour if one were to get a job there?

I just checked the cac public search for my own father's business name and is not there anymore. OMG! as of last two weeks it was there. I just noticed the cac website was newly updated

That is since the business was registered he didn't pay for yearly filing or file annual return to show the name is still in operation


The yearly filing is 1000 that is of your business has not commenced .....or you choose the annual filing by consulting with and Accounting firm to prepared statement of affairs

Please is it advisable for your sponsor to use a University letter head paper to write a sponsorship letter for you, as my elder brother who is a professor in one of the leading University in USA is my sponsor, hope it not a red flag, as CIC might say why didn’t I apply to his University were he is lecturing in the US.

Shei na school dey sponsored you.....if na school used the school letterhead

If is not school and your brother is working there he should used plain paper and then type on it....then henter should include his employment letter. ...pay slips.....bank statement. .....etc

Additional. .hmmmmm to me I will say you reprint all over again..because printing additional page will be on a separate bank paper....or are u going to staple it with the previous one......just closed your eye and reprint 6month bank statement....other you can still print 3month bank statement if you wish

i am gunning for an MBA degree in Memorial University Newfoundland (MUN) primarily because it has one of the cheapest tuition in Canada at 2k+ per semester and over 6k per session.

But i have some reservations tho:

How likely am i to get a job within or outside the campus to sustain me while i school?
Even though i already mapped out 4m for this project, working alongside wont be a bad idea

Also, in the fees brochure, they wrote that payment is made every semester. Does that mean i will pay for just one semester, and of course other fees and charges, befoe coming over?

One of their admission requirements is a GMAT score. How much would it cost me to write a GMAT exam now and how often is it written?

They requested for a minimum result of 2.75 on a 4 point scale. Converting it to 5 pointb scale is 3.43. i doubt my CGP is up to that. What will be my fate?

I will appreciate your experiences responses.

Firstly MUN IS good and very cheap if u can afford the first semester tuition fee is okay....but you must start it in your sop that the school accept only first semester fee

But your need to look for a Co sponsor to support your 4m

And every student is mandatory to work 20 hours a week

I think gmat is 250dollar....I can't remember and you need to read hard for your exams because .... that is the little I know

I just came across a preparatory course for ACCA students at Toronto School of Management. It is not a degree but it's duration is over 9 months. Total tuition is about $5100 CAD. I can pay a $1500 deposit for the first semester. Their entry sessions are in September and March. I already have a Bsc Accounting (Nigeria), MSc Forensic Accounting (United kingdom). I have no work experience in my field. Though I am ACCA part qualified.
I have the following questions please:
1. What are my chances for a PR through this route?
2. Where will I get information on the exchange rate to use and can I receive student exchange rate from the CBN?
3. How much should I budget as annual living allowance for bank account balance?
4. How much time will I get to work after my programme?
5. How easy or difficult is it to find a minimum wage job there? In the UK, it took me about 6 months to get a sales advisor role at Sainsbury's. I was working part time and schooling full time. I am wondering what the situation in Canada is.
6. As per the medicals, what are they looking for? If I have a chronic illness like asthma, will it affect my chances?
7. What is the going rate for flights to Canada?

I would say fund be transferred to applicant or if possible,in convertible currency or sponsor make full fees payment. Company account statements easily do not fly with officers. There is alot to prove when using one. Access to funds by the applicant is key in availability of funds. Available balance in a company's account would mean nothing if there is no strong evidence showing applicant can access it.

Also, tax clearance won't matter much if applicant has shown that he/she will access or have accessed funds declared. This is the most important thing.

Nawa ooooo......just like that....everything a business owner has is listen in document checklist....including tax certificate....even if the person is not paying tax he should aleast have the certificate that his company have registered with firs/lirs

thanks for your concern....i have reached out to my school and was told it can be done in 2 weeks with a little monetary exchange, so that should be done by 1st week of june. In othet news I had a webinar with the canadian school I am applying to last night, they advised I shouldnt pay the full tuition till i get the visa, that i should pay the deposit fee instead in case i am rejected the visa, it would be easy for them to refund though i could shift my admission to the next cohort and reapply for a visa. I was thinking of making full payment for the 2 years program so i could be convincing enough to the VO. Also does my 4 months bank statement need to be above my living expenses through out the 4 months, for example in the 1st month account balance was 1.5m, in the 2nd month they was an upward spike in business and ended with 8m and continued up and down till the 4th month where the balance is 7m, does the instability affect the chances of getting the visa?
