Politics / Why Is It Always About Political Parties? by bbxxxxxx: 3:43pm On Aug 14, 2018
I wonder how many Nigerians knew the political parties Hillary Clinton/Trump belong to without searching the internet, but I am sure majority knew both Hillary and Trump were the major candidates contesting the USA presidential election.

The election issues were all about what the candidates were bringing to the table, debates were held by both candidates on several occasions (not the usual "in 15 minutes tell us how you will improve the economy" as seen in Nigeria). The voters decision were based on the debate and not on the political parties they belong to.

This is why the elected officials feel the responsibility to perform, coz if they fail the people will see them as the failure and not the political party. So it's citizen first before political parties.

That's why you do not see a party chairman telling Parliament who to lead them.

If we don't stop this idea of making elections issues about political parties, this politicians will continue to disrespect the voters and think political parties first and the bad governance will continue.

This politicians should take responsibility for their actions or inactions, and not the political party. You cannot arrest PDP /APC, but you can arrest GEJ, OBJ and GMB. The citizens should look beyond party, it's an insult to praise akpabio and accuse PDP of looting the state dry. That's the height of disrespect.

If I were the OP,I would have read section 17 of the same act before posting all these trash!

SECTION 17
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, the Directorate may, with the prior approval of the National Defence and Security Council, by an order published in the •Gazette exempt any person from all or any of the provisions of this Decree, and may subject thereto and with such approval impose, in relation to any exemption, such conditions as it may think fit.
was there a published order exempting adeosun from nysc. Even if, why will she aquire a fake certificate.

The problem with this country is tribalism. Just see the way the Yorubas are defending this crime, same way they will defend obj and accuse GEJ of corruption because he refused to appoint people like adeosun as finance minister.

I wonder if those senators could blackmail NOI.

And for those Yorubas who are trying to justify it by claiming xyz also did not serve, they should realise that xyz did not aquire and present a fake nysc certificate to the senate.

The IG should arrest this woman immediately without delay. Forgery is a criminal offence.

Nigeria judiciary is the most corrupt entity and apologist of corruption. The same modus operandi the juduciary has been using to free corrupt VIPs yet never bat an eyelid at long incarceration without trials of commoners in awaiting trial. They freed Ibori and other top crooks until a British court helped us to convict him. Nigerians celebrated his return same way many are celebrating Saraki's acquittal not out of love but to oil their engine of hatred for the President. i gat no love for any politicians because none affect me in anyway with their loots....
can you highlight the issue with this judgement to justify your claim that the judge was corrupt.

as much as i'm not a fan of saraki, i'd love to congratulate him on his victory. do i believe saraki is corrupt? yes,i think so. reasons being the fact that 99.9% of nigerian politicians are corrupt. that being said, this just proves that the total anti-corruption war of the federal govt,is complete nonsense. how can federal govt be prosecuting someone of saraki's calibre based on hear say? the current attorney general of the federation is a complete slowpoke. my late lawyer once told me that court cases are won in the chambers and not in the court room and when i asked how,he told me how well you prepare for a case, gather facts and evidences, determines what goes on in the court room. it's a shame that the federal govt is wasting our money to pay lawyers who can't do proper jobs, and then telling us they are fighting corruption. everything about this govt is complete child's play. and to think that the vice president is even a lawyer, makes it more annoying. we just have a set of brain dead morons collecting money and claiming they are working but in reality, they are doing nothing.
. On point.

Politics / Re: Buhari 3 Years Physical Achievements True Or False, Criticize With Fact And Fig. by bbxxxxxx: 6:08pm On May 29, 2018
FarahAideed:
Every single thing there is false .. see my response to the lies in bold fonts.

1. Foreign reserved increased from 29.3 billion to over 47 billion. True or False

False: there is no proof whatsoever that our Foreign reserves have grown to 47 billion dollars When Buhari has not told us where the excess savings came from and if the country was making so much then why has Buhari been attributing his failure to lack of funds? Open your eyes Buhari lies a lot

2. Over 200,000 youth are benefiting from #30,000 monthly NPOWER. True or False?

False : this is another unproven statististic and ofcourse another shameless lie from the lying govt , is the govt saying it is paying average of 6000 people in each state of Nigeria the total sum of 6 billion Naira monthly ? The least the govt can do is allow the 6 billion Naira reflect in the statutory monthly expenditure charge sheet and it's never reflected at all ..another thing is for the govt to make available a list of names of beneficiaries state by state for verifications

3. Power supply as improved from 2000 megawatts to 7000 megawatts. True or False?

False: when Jonathan left Nigeria had a wheel out capacity of 4500 Mws and an installed capacity of 7000 Mws of electricity and this is a fact ..Buhari is claiming to have added 5000 mws to grid in 3 years so can Buhari show us what new power plants he initiated that is responsible for this extra 5000 Mws ( it's as simple as that ).. another lie bursted!!

4. Second Niger bridge construction is going on. Truth or false?

False : it's is on record that the contract has not even been awarded at all at any level so this is a lie .. how can a contract that has not been awarded be ongoing ..please let's stop being dull

5. Local rice production, packaging like imported rice is now in the market. True or False.

False: one visit to the market will debunk all these paper based local rice , why can't we find such rice in the market, where are the rice paddies producing these rice located ? Why has our rice import bill not dropped to reflect the truth.. another lie from hell

6. Money swaps between Nigeria and China to reduce dollar influence and reduce cost of products from China True or false

False : the money swap deal has not even taken off and when it does it will for the tiny international sum of 900 million dollars over a period of years which comes to just 300 million dollars per year if it ever kicks off ..The deal in every ramification is nothing but beauttiful nonsense that has no implication on our Balance of trade sheet with china.. we have only ended up guaranteeing China a sure 1 billion dollars worth of export steady no matter the outcome of international business.

7. Over 500billion had been realised from anti corruption fight. True or False

False : till the EFCC provided the list of the 630 people it prosecuted successfully and recovered 500 billion Naira from this remains false and till that money reflects in our budget as an income item then it's false ..Whrre is is the money?

8.Bokoharam, Niger Delta Avenger, IPOB/BIAFRA agitators has been defeated. True or False.

False: Bokoko Haram is still know to be in control of over 70 percent of the land mass in Borno state and 80 percent of the highways there ..a visit to Borno by anyone will quickly erode this lie I challenge the OP to make road trip from Damboa to Maidugri with an escort of 20 soldiers and lets see if he will be alive to tell the tale .. IPOB was never a threat as such to any Nigerian , instead of mentioning IPOb I was expecting the president to tell us why he is sparing the Fulani Herdmen who have killed over 4000 Nigerians in just 3 years !!!!

9. Nigeria has comes out of the worst economical recession. True or False?

False : who caused the recession in the first place ?Buhari tooknover Nigeria with a single inflation digit but today it's still in double digits courtesy his bad governance, is the negligible micro growth Buhari has peddling even sufficient to call growth at all ..the dull president can keep decieving himself please but the truth is that the recession came with a lot of consequences which included double digit inflation, weaker naira and a loss of about 13 million jobs , are we back to single digit inflation? Is the naira back to strength ? Is are the 13 million jobs back ? Hell no ..the last 3 years have been Nigeria's worst Perfmance on the international Human development index scale and that the fact

10. Masive road construction is ongoing all over Nigeria True or False?

False : this is another big lie when it's on record that for 3 straight fiscal years the Buhari govt has scored zero (yes zero) Performance in the administration of its capital expenditure purse ( even Fashola recently admitted this when he went to defend his budget) ..so ask yourself where is the money for these phantom roads coming from and where are the roads ? grin please dontbler a Dullard like Buhari decieve you.

11. Rail constricting is on going Lagos to Ibadan, Kaduna to Kano etc. True or False?

False : The only rail construction Buhari has initiated is a questionable one that is supposed to run from Katsina to his ancestral home in Maradi Niger republic , the motive behind the rail is 100 percent nepotistic as there is no economic explanation to why Nigeria needs that rail line so much we had to borrow for it..

12. Sign memorandum of understanding with Boeing and Airbus on revival of National Carriage Airline. True or False?

False : hahahahaha this comment is an insult to any sensible person...anyone that that know the process of acquiring planes knows this is bullocks .. At what capacity is Boeing and Airbus signing agreement hahahaha? Borno and Airbus only take orders for brand new planes and deliveries could take years and very few airlines use direct purchases to source their planes form either Boeing or Airbus . Buhari clearly understand nothing about fleeting an airline but the least he do is show us the MOU with these two aviation giants so we know what it's about even though I know it's a big lie.
13. Massive investment in Agriculture as alternative means of Economy. True or False?

False : Nigerian farmers have never had a worse time in their lives due to the insecurity they currently face ..its on record that almost 60 percent of middle belt farmers have been displaced from their farm by killer herdsmen Buhari is very sympathetic too ..so tell me where this false investment in agriculture is being made please ..is it in Daura farms ?
14. Anti Corruption war. True or False?
This seem to be unarguable achievements of BUHARI administration in 3years.

False : Corruption has never been worse on reality, just one look at transparency international recent report will debunk this one hand as Nigeria ranking is at one of its worst ever today under the Dullard...Lest we forget there is a massive corruption also going on in secretive oil subsidy regime where Buhari has trippled the annual spending on phantom oil subsidies from about 300 billion Naira annually to 1.4 trillion a year without budgetary approval ..damn that would be the biggest corruption scandal when it blow open when Buhari is soon relieved of his duty
Politics / Democracy Day 2018: Comparing GEJ Achievements In 100 Days To PMB In 3 Yrs. Reno by bbxxxxxx: 6:12am On May 29, 2018
By Reno Omokri For four months, patriotic Nigerians have been waiting for officials of the Buhari administration to take up the #BuhariChallenge and name at least one project that the Buhari administration has initiated, started and completed in three years. President Muhammadu Buhari bids farewell to the former President Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan after a close door meeting at the State House in Abuja The funny thing is that if any administration is expected to act with dispatch on such a challenge, that government should be Mr. Buhari’s regime.

In Nigeria’s post colonial history, no other administration has had the number of media aides that President Buhari has. President Buhari has the following media aides:

* A Special Adviser on Media and Publicity

* A Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity (the official spokesman)

* A Special Assistant on Digital Communications * A Personal Assistant on Broadcast Media (Radio) (the most influential media aide of the President)

* A Personal Assistant on New Media

* A Personal Assistant on Social Media

* A Chief Personal Photographer (Bayo Omoboriowo)

* A Personal Assistant to the President and State Photographer (Sunday Aghaeze) It is rather telling that after having a record 8 media aides, President Buhari’s administration is still unable to take the #BuhariChallenge. As a matter of fact, after the President appointed Festus Keyamo as the official spokesman for his re-election campaign, I congratulated Mr. Keyamo and urged him to take the #BuhariChallenge to which Mr. Keyamo never responded.

Why has the Buhari government not being able to name even one project initiated, started and completed in the last three years? The answer to that question is that the Buhari Administration is embarrassed to admit that the only project initiated, started and completed in the last three years by the present regime is the helipad built by President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, his home town. I challenge any of President Buhari’s eight media aides, plus his lying minister of information and the spokesman of his campaign to rebut me if I am lying. In three years, the President has not conceived of and finished any project except a project meant for his own personal use.Therein lies the crux of the matter.

Nigeria is being ruled by a man who thinks only of himself and not the people he should lead. Ask yourself how long does it take to build a school. Former President Jonathan built 120 secondary schools in his first three years and 12 universities within the same period (a total of 165 were built by the fourth year). President Buhari has not built even ONE school in three years which he initiated and completed, yet this is a man who claimed that Nigerian youths were uneducated, lazy and unemployable. If that is what he thinks about our youth, then why has President Buhari not built even ONE school to remedy the situation?
How long does it take to build one hospital? Former President Jonathan built 15 hospitals in his first three years. President Buhari has not built even ONE hospital in three years which he initiated and completed, yet this is a man who spends millions of tax payers money that could have built hospitals on his UK doctors.

How long does it take to build houses for the masses? In his first three years, Former President Jonathan built over 2,000 mass housing units which he initiated and completed. In three years in power, President Buhari has not built even one mass housing scheme which he initiated and completed. Yet, the President goes to Commission mass housing schemes built by state governments with fewer resources than the Federal Government.

The sad thing is that no less than 18 of Nigeria’s 36 state Governors can boast of multiple projects that they have initiated, started and completed in the last three years, including and especially, Governors Nyesom Wike, Akinwunmi Ambode, Ayo Fayose and Aminu Tambuwal. But that is only half the story. At a plenary session of the Nigerian Senate on March 7, 2018, a Senator from the President’s ruling All Progressive Congress said: “Without fear or favour, the Peoples Democratic Party, in 16 years, borrowed N6 trillion and this (Buhari’s) government in three years, has borrowed N11 trillion” So, not only has the Buhari regime not initiated, started and completed any project in the last three years (other than the Daura helipad), the same government has borrowed ₦11 trillion in three years which is double the ₦6 trillion the PDP borrowed in 16 years. What did the Buhari government do with the money? As Omawunmi sang ‘if you ask me, na who I go ask?’ Perhaps the President used it to pay the salaries of his eight media aides!

For those who will ask me if the administration I served in has a better record than Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in terms of projects, policies and programs, I will republish a list of former President Jonathan’s 100 days achievements and my readers can compare and contrast it with the advertised ‘achievements of the Buhari government as it marks three years in office.

24 Key Economic Achievements of Former President Jonathan’s 100 Days in Office • Just Few Out Of Many Listed

1. Nigeria’s oil industry expanded by 20% and we reclaimed our position as Africa’s largest oil exporter which we’d hitherto lost to Angola.

2. Recognized by OPEC in July as the 2nd largest oil exporter 2nd only to Saudi Arabia. It is the first time Nigeria has recorded such a feat.

3. Inflation rate has been reducing as the administration enforces tighter fiscal policies.

4. In June the Consumer Price Index showed an inflation rate of 10.2% which dropped to 9.4% in July being the lowest rate in the last 4 years.

5. Foreign Reserves rises by 10% to $35 billion.

6. Nigeria’s GDP growth rate month over month has continued to grow from 6.7% in May to 6.9% in July of 2011.

7. Nigeria declared top three investment destinations in Africa (number 2) by the independent Africa Business Panel in the Netherlands.

8. Nigeria now generates power at her highest level ever (4000mw) which is still far from enough but which will improve monthly.

9. Nigerian Railway Corporation commenced Mass Transit Services in 5 of 6 geo-political zones. Last zone will come on stream by year’s end.

10. With establishment of the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), President Jonathan facilitates direct investments into infrastructure with priority areas being Power and Roads.

11. The Federal Government also awarded contracts for various road projects across the country whose impact will soon be felt nationwide.

12. Launch of NigeriaSat-2 and NigeriaSat-X Satellites to expand Internet Bandwidth and provide early warning to prevent natural disasters.

13. President introduced the policy of engaging the Private Sector on kerosene pricing and price reduced between May and September, 2011.

14. Recognizing the sacrifices of youth corps members, President approved upward review of allowances from 9,700 to 19,800 Naira.

15. Implementation of Minimum Wage Increase for Nigerian Workers to 18,900 Naira monthly.

16. 35% Slot For Women in the cabinet.

17. Deepening Security and expanding Peace in the Niger Delta.

18. Reduced kidnapping in South East with implementation of President’s order establishing the 14 Brigade of the army in Ohafia, Abia state.

19. Maritime Safety has been ensured and stabilized in the last 100 days.

20. A stellar cabinet comprising former MDs of the World Bank & Goldman Sachs, Chairperson Accenture and multiple PhDs.

21. The National Automobile Council established an Automotive Development Fund to resuscitate the automobile industry and generate jobs.

22. Approval for genuine foreign investors to obtain visas at the point of entry to facilitate FDI investments. 23. Model Skills Training Centers in Abuja-

collaboration between Industrial Training Fund & the Institute for Technical Education, Singapore.

24. Establishment of the Nigerian Vehicle Credit Purchase scheme. It is instructive to note that while President Jonathan achieved all these and more in his first 100 days in office with the aid of his full cabinet, President Buhari, in comparison, was yet to appoint ministers or establish any policy direction for his administration at the 100 day mark of his government. Politics / The PDP Brought Garba Shehu To Limelight. PDP Is His Mother And Father! Reno Omo by bbxxxxxx: 6:08am On May 23, 2018
The PDP Brought Garba Shehu to Limelight. PDP Is His Mother and Father!

Quite unfortunately for President Buhari’s spokesman, Garba Shehu, my attention has been drawn to some hypocritical statements he made to the media.

After attacking former First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, and the Peoples Democratic Party, Garba Shehu has taken to attacking me directly saying:

“Tell Reno and his friends that Nigerians want their moneys back and they should forget about presiding over the affairs of this country.”

It is so sad that Mr. Shehu would choose to go the route of hypocrisy. What do I mean? Let me explain.

Garba Shehu was Special Assistant on media for years during the Peoples Democratic Party administration of President Olusegun Obasanjo. Garba did not resign from that government.

In fact, Garba Shehu was affiliated with the Peoples Democratic Party for 12 good years. He has been in the PDP for more years than he has been APC. He was in the PDP longer than I, Reno Omokri, have been associated with the PDP.

Garba Shehu cannot deny this because his office was opposite mine at the Presidential villa between 2003 when I returned from the United Kingdom and 2005 when I went to the US.

Garba shehu used to craft very strong anti Buhari press releases for the PDP during his 12 year sojourn as a PDP member, which included years spent as SA media under Obasanjo. Now he crafts press releases for the same man he once attacked against the same people he once praised! Garba is the epitome of AGIP-Any Government in Power. I am the epitome of loyalty. There is no basis to compare myself with him. I follow my conscience. Garba follows his stomach.

I challenge Garba Shehu to come out and tell Nigerians whether I am lying? Or does he want me to provide proof. Garba Shehu would do well to remember that I am a very meticulous record keeper and fact provider!

Garba Shehu attacking the PDP is like a child attacking his own mother. The PDP brought Garba to limelight. The PDP is Garba’s mother and father.

When Garba Shehu indicts PDP for 16 years of alleged ‘misrule’ he should accept responsibility for 12 of those years.

Instead of being a hypocrite, Garba should tell Nigerians where:

* Where their $25 billion NNPC money is
* Who reinstated and double promoted Maina
* When Babachir will be prosecuted
* Why the ES of the NHIS who was indicted for misappropriating ₦ 10 billion was restored.
* Who owns the Ikoyi billions.

Nigerians would recall that in a statement issued by Garba Shehu during former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s birthday last year, President Buhari called him President Obasanjo a statesman ‘with commitment to good governance’. Today, the President is hinting at probing Obasanjo’s alleged $16 billion power project contracts just because Obasanjo is against his reelection. War on C̶o̶r̶r̶u̶p̶t̶i̶o̶n̶ opposition!

This is the type of hypocrisy that President Buhari and Garba Shehu are known for which is why Nigerians are determined to Change the Change in 2019.

Politics / IMF Doubts Nigeria’s Capacity To Repay Debts by bbxxxxxx: 4:51pm On May 22, 2018
The International Monetary Fund on Monday expressed concern over Nigeria’s capacity to repay its debts and stressed the need for the Federal Government to mobilise more revenues domestically.

The Washington-based fund, at the public presentation of the Spring 2018 Issue of the Regional Economic Outlook for Sub-Saharan Africa, said the public debt in the region was on the rise.

IMF Senior Resident Representative and Mission Chief for Nigeria, Amine Mati, said, “The number of countries in debt distress has increased. From six countries in 2014 to eight in 2015, to 10 in 2016, and today 15 countries. These are low-income economies.

“Now, I know the question that is going to come from here is: Where is Nigeria? Nigeria is not considered a low-income economy. Nigeria’s debt stock figure, which is 20 to 23 per cent of Gross Domestic Product, is still quite low by any standard. The issue is capacity to repay the debts. So, interest payment to revenue is an issue.”

On the need to ramp up domestic revenue mobilisation, Mati put Nigeria’s total revenue at six per cent of GDP.

“There is a lot that can be done to increase revenue very quickly,” he said.

Noting that Value Added Tax rate had been quite low in Nigeria, he said doubling the compliance on VAT from 25 to 50 per cent would increase the VAT ratio from 0.9 per cent of GDP to close to two per cent.

Nigeria’s debt stood at N21.73tn as of December 31, 2017, compared to N12.12tn as of June 30, 2015, according to the Debt Management Office.

The DMO had said the composition of the debt stock as of the end of 2017 showed that external debt was 26.64 per cent of the portfolio, up from 20.04 per cent in 2016, while the domestic debt was 73.36 per cent, down from 79.96 per cent in 2016.

The Director-General, DMO, Patience Oniha, in her remarks at the event, said the government had been working aggressively to shore up revenues as well as reduce borrowing costs.

“The debt service is a function of the interest that you pay on those borrowings as well as your revenue. The critical part is that revenue has been low relative to the size of the GDP. So that has to go up,” she said in an interview on the sidelines of the event.

According to her, there is an aggressive drive to raise revenues through the Voluntary Assets and Income Declaration scheme.

Oniha said, “What are we doing on debt service? The new debt management strategy, which we started implementing last year, seeks to moderate the growth of interest expense by shifting some of the borrowing externally.

“If we were borrowing on the domestic market, last year we would be borrowing at about 16 to 17 per cent and early on the year, 18 per cent. But we went to the international market. So rather than borrow that $4.8bn that we borrowed in the international market in the domestic market, we borrowed at below eight per cent. If we raised the money in the domestic market, we would have had to pay those high rates.”

The DMO DG said the government saved over N70bn from, estimated on a per annum basis, from that exercise.

“We are still borrowing because there are provisions for borrowing in the budget. But in terms of how much it cost us to borrow, we are working actively on reducing that and reducing the refinancing risk that we had with Treasury bills every 90 days, every six months.”

I Want The Public To Take This Piece Into Cognizance Regarding The IG Of Police's Speech Blunder

1. The speech in question was doctored

2. Even if it was not doctored, nobody is above mistake

3. If you have been following The IG's trail or watched him speak before, you'll know that he's intelligent & grammatically fluent.

4. People were complaining why he was promoted from a commissioner of police straight to an IG of police instead of following protocol. Well, that is GRACE at work...... Grace disqualifies the qualified in order to qualify the unqualified. God doesn't follow protocol when he wants to promote you.

5. If we channel the intellectual flexibility (making T-Shirts of Transmission & videos just to mock him) into more productive things, we would have been richer than we are.

6. The difference between Nigerians & Americans is, while they channel their brain to more productive things, we are busy using ours to trend someone's mistake.
ur are wrong on six, the difference is the IG will voluntarily resign or force to resign by protest from Americans. Also there is no way someone like him will hold sensitive position equivalent to the IG in America or any other sane country

Take a chill pill
, you are right because its not the biz of the witches (doctors) how I negotiate with my employer. I was not employed by the doctors. What is their problem. Useless doctors that can't even do cs without killing either the baby, the mum or both. The only thing that is exclusively at their care(surgery) they can't do, yet they shout doctors as it's a big deal, am not part of the striking doctors but my course mates are, am currently studying genetic engineering in Canada because medicine is not challenging for me. I did a bch course with those medical students in school which the failed massively that forced their faculty to organize the course themselves for future students. Now tell me what's challenging about medicine. Nonsense

Nigerians are so backward. Playing politics with everything including health issues. They went as far as misinforming Nigerians. JOHESU is asking for an upward review of CONHESS and not pay parity with doctors.
, what is wrong if they asked for that. Is the salary paid by the doctors, nonsense, in a day I treat more patient than an individual doctor who sits in his office and take the glory for all my work, how? I run the test and sensitivity, some of them will run back to ask what's the name of this antib. Yeye dey smell

They should have treated themselves after all they claim to be at par with Medical Doctors
, Since the DOCTORS claim they can do without them why are they transferring patients to private hospitals, let me see how they will work without medical test results. Daylight witches, how does it affect them if government increase the salary of the workers on strike, a doc spent just 2 yrs more in school than me and its salary is 4yrs ahead of me yet they can't even treat gonorrhoea without running to me. Even Cs they can't do properly, patients keep dying because of their carelessness. Witches
