Did anyone vouched for him before the transaction?

I still don't understand how some of you guys get duped though.

As usual, I beg the accused to do the needful and sin no more.

Am Out!

Errmmm...Bros, hmmm...no be so o@italics. When I fell victim, it was a weekend transaction (friday) the guy sent 1st...not only that, I told him I couldn't take all he had, so we do the transaction in batches, 1st batch on friday, 2nd batch on Monday, when I move money from my bank account without online access to one with online access and we finish up, if the funds still dey available by Monday.

He said ok, but from what I have seen about you on NL, you be sure person, when on Monday can you do the transaction? I'll take a risk, transfer all to you, you pay me what you have, and balance on Monday. As long as you don't exceed stipulated time, we are good. If you do and rate has changed, you make up the difference in rate. So we went ahead, after I had thanked him profusely.

Long story short, I got funds, used it, paid him what I had with plans to pay up on Monday. Saturday morning, my paypal account was in negative, reason: an authorized access case was opened. Any1who knows how paypal operates would know you can't win that kinda case Lai Lai (usually). Next thing I know, I got a mail in the post (collection agency after me for paypal money.

Our brothers in diaspora (especially those in yankee) would understand how serious that collection agency thingy is)

So you see...some of these peeps got serious game!

Oh. And the bank couldn't trace him...his kyc details were faked.

Hello guys, please my cd drive just stopped working this morning. I used it all through yesterday and it worked perfectly and this morning it's not even reading the cd, please what could be the cause?

Which OS are you running? Sometimes CD drive issues are actually the result of an erroneous registry entry.

BROWN105:
It was functioning properly when I shut it down. But few hours later, I on-ed it to discover that those keys are not working again; similarly, whenever I put it to sleep mode, it automatically wakes up immediately.

If your system is waking up immediately you attempt to put it to sleep, it's either:

* There's a program that is preventing the system from sleeping (but if this the case, system should prompt and inform you)

* There's a key or two that is stuck on your keyboard.

Since we know some keys are non functional, then we can say those are the culprits. Do this: get an old toothbrush, and use it to clean (dust out your keyboard) pls don't use any other thing aside from t toothbrush. The problem could be dust particles o debris. If you've got access to compressed air, you can make use of that.

If the problem persists, you'll need to change your keyboard.

like I said earlier, when you get a ban, the reason is duly stated in your profile but unfortunately to some people, every ban was carried out by the mods.
using your case as a scenario, I have only banned you once and the miriads of ban you get are from the spambot but almost every time you speak, you play the "ban me" victim card as if it adds a dime to my pocket.

Nah, I beg to differ, I dont play the ban me card every time, I always only ask for clarification. Sometimes, yeah, I suspect that it could be the bot, but even at that, I've never seen in any of my posts that got me the ban, what the bot could have picked on. The only conclusion I have arrived at is: the bot can't read past a certain number of words and once that number is surpassed, it hands down a ban. I know I sabi type, so if dat na the case, I'm totally guilty. grin

@italics: see why I always say communication is key? Na now I jst dey know dat piece of information, if in all of my mails to you and the supermods, someone had actually taken out the pains to give me this piece of info, e for don epp me Ke! Maybe some other Nairalanders know, but I am also certain that like me, a whole lot don't know, especially those of us that are not in the habit of checking and updating our profiles now and again...thanks for the info though.

Now I don keep lipsrsealed make I observe as e dey go b4 I come talk ma own...let me do what I do best: say it as it is:

@booz007, @whitetiger511, whilst I agree with you that the fault of the rule is not that of @dragnet, and @booz007, your take on what should be done to address the issue I agree with, the problem is with the way @dragnet presented 'his case' it was done in the the most lousy of ways and he said things that shouldn't have been said, practically insulting@Freeworld23 and myself included, which was aptly noted by @janinie. @booz007, your comment that @freeworld23 should be banned was uncalled for and out of place you started out well, then killed it. Why?

Why should someone get banned cos they are airing their views to a topic under discussion? Nothing he said was out of line till @dragnet practically said he was silly.

Down the line, he now sort of backpedaled and gave a suggestion that he should have started out with in the first place.

@tumababa: I concur...

@dragnet (of course you knew I was coming to you) after all, who I epp if my 2yr old personality no kick in? You have a way of addressing peeps like say na you dey garri dem, it's not proper (ok, make I no sugar quote am)...it's wrong[i/]. Even if na you born all of us, we all don mature and as a result definitely deserve respect.

Yeah some of us might not be up to you in age or bank balance and some of us surpass you in all areas die! But whatever the case is, respect is reciprocal. If you carry catapult dey stone bird, you no fit complain when the bird fly come poop4ya head na.

Regarding tracing of IP, guy forget that thing. Be it dynamic or static, e no matter, you always leave your fingerprint. Even if you dey bounce your IP upandan, all over the continent and into space, it just makes it more difficult, if una wan do am, una go do am, unless of course you are saying NL does not have capable hands to effect it.

@freshcvvs (Omo dis Ya moniker dey always kill me! grin) @aleair: abeg make una tell dem biko

@freeworld23: I like how you state things matter of fact, abeg if our parts ever cross, 1black label4u...

PayPal is listed as a payment method and not a cryptocurrency.

But we all know paypal has been turned to a shady venture. 99.99% of scams on NL are as a result (directly or indirectly) of paypal.

Also, the question is: when was the rule written especially the part concerning cryptocurrencies?
