Why do people always think Secession leads to war? War leads to secession not the other way around,

I haven't wrapped my head around resource control but I think since the people are in regions and states, the only thing the FG should be controlling is security in which case, states pay 10% to the FG every other thing should be handled by the states, Roads leading to states should be built between the states the road wil stretch through etc,

This system we are currently in is a dictatorship!! For those thinking War will break out? Who will fight the war?

All forms of war leads to secession, Political war, ethnic war, religious war, ideological war, trade war, etc, no matter how it starts leads to secession, Secession has never lead to war never!! No one gets up in a working union and demand secession, there is always some form of war leading to secession!!!
Quite correct. If we have a weak centre and autonomous units, who would want to kill themselves for the Presidency? Everybody would have to develop their own backyards or be laughed at.

As for war? There is already a low intensity war being fought; thats why we here its "North vs the rest" all the time; its why GEJ is referred to as "your President" by certain leaders of certain sections.
Count the number of violent deaths from political strife since last October, it is in the high thousands, with 90% in the North. Is that not war? It just hasn't broken out into an all out fracas, but its like match and tinder, anything can happen anytime.
@naijababe, you are a breath of fresh air in this discussion. The trouble with Nigerians is that when they talk about resources, they only think OIL.  At the moment because of the dutch disease, most other mineral resources and natural resources are sitting dormant and untapped.  My proposal will unleash the untapped wealth present in abundance, in every region which hitherto, has been ignored because oil as been the only focus.

People like Beaf are narrow minded and lazy, they only think oil and oil bunkering. The ignorance of those people is the main reason why they cannot understand the advantages and fairness of my proposal.
Someone introduced oil into the discussion. Was that lazy person me or you, my Aboki friend?

With the wisdom gleaned from the past and recent bombings, it doesn't make sense to remain glued to any other sections destiny, especially when worldviews are so wildly disparate. There are very deep issues of trust to be resolved, especially with the weaponisation of religion in the last elections and its use to propagate pogroms and boko haram (the ultimate blackmail tool). Nobody is interested in sharing with those who wish to kill them. Trust like religious inclination, is an important factor in the nations greatest resource, the humans who make up its citizenry.
Let there be 100% resource control, physical and human. That will take care of the fact that while some are boko haram lovers, the citizens from the nations cookie jar have been poisoned on an industrial scale and those from other sections couldn't give a phuck. A bloody 900 times the safe limits of benzene in Ogoni land? What does it matter? A massive proportion of the "monkeys" from the ND suffer from strange cancers and respiratory issues? Damn the suckers, lets secure the oil.

It only makes sense to give extremely favourable developmental loans to the enemy under UN supervision. No one would really care that much what the loans are used for as long as there is true federalism, with true regional autonomy; bought and paid for.
It would be suicidal to get tied into longterm agreements without cast iron, solid concrete assurances that crude blackmail like boko haram and "Islamic Banking" would never ever be deployed.

You just keep jumping around with your accusations. Second coming of Jesus? I thought that was what GEJ was supposed to be with his promises to transform Nigeria, end tribalism and such high fallutin stuff among a littany of other promises. And yes, "every knee shall bow" to GEJ according to you - that sounds more like Jesus than anybody I can remember.

Tea party in the U.S., blackmail for egunje - bring out your evidences for open debate instead of this "trust me" you are engaged in.
If a vote was to be cast today for Sanusi's sack, where would your ACN vote, and why? Abeg, mek we hear word! Its all about fake separatism for envelopes.

You are really showing a "true" face. Can you fight ACN for PDP without becoming an ethnic bigot. Where did you find "ACN's logic of ethnic separation"?

ACN helped liberate a people from the evil claws of PDP and you are here talking about ethnic separation logic. How about the logic of throwing off leaders who have had a good chance, but could not meet the aspirations of the people. If you know what is good for you in Balyesa you would find an alternative to PDP - it doesn't have to be ACN mind you. If ACN doesn't work for the SW, they would also be replaced, but never with PDP and its pack of thieves - as long as free choice is allowed during election time.
I really don't care if ACN is the second coming of Jesus. I am talking about how they carry on like the Tea Party in the US, pretending to be right wing when all their leaders do is blackmail for egunje.
@ekun_bear, when it becomes obvious to people that most of the 40billion in reserves come from deep water fields like Agbami, Erha, Akpo, and Bonga, the SS man would understand the fairness in my proposal. 85% - 90% of this reserve is offshore. Bonga alone produces 10% of all of our crude oil today. You'll have to get the book I told you about or physically go to NNPC to confirm these numbers - trust me, the numbers are accurate

I'd go further by stating that as part of my 'Freeze' activity, the Feds should close 60 -70% of the onshore oilfields in the ND region and concentrate on cleaning up the environmental damage they've done there. There is enough untapped oil in that region to keep them happy for a long time without the offshore oil. My proposal is fair and realistic.
Nobody will ever understand such a wacky proposal. Every section will be going to an SNC with the outside possibility that the nation might not survive it. It would be a last ditch attempt to make our ugly union sane and equitable. So why would anyone attend with foolish thoughts of ceding territory to an enemy country?

As for breaking up not being possible without a war, that is true if a section resists. However, no section can sustain all out war against the sections provide 85% of Nigeria's spending money. No be moi moi. Lol! That is why the core-North has taken a safe bet on boko haram and sited it in far away Borno state. The long and short is, if the rest of the country finally tires off the core-North and wages war to push them out, it would be a very crushing, horrible defeat.

Sadly, there is an involved procedure to drop a CBN gov. The man is accountable to nobody under Nigerian law (CBN Act 2007), you have to imagine the sort of crazy folk that come up with such. I guess its easy to say this now though, noone ever expected that we would ever have a red-eyed sharia crazy at the helm of the CBN.

Sounds like a replay of the Oldham riots of a few years back, and of the Paris ghetto riots.

With the opportunities for gainful employment, subsidised housing, universal free medical coverage and free education in the United Kingdom, anyone who feels a need to riot is in my opinion a lazy phuck who should be slam-dunked in the slammer for any property damage caused by this mindless violence.

Anyone who feels unhappy with life in the United Kingdom, or who feels that the state owes them a free ride on account of their racial classification, should feel free to board the next flight to Africa, Afghanistan or Pakistan, where they will find out first hand just how caring the state can be, and how civil unrest and hooliganism gets tamed in typical Third World fashion.

The last region which tried to secede lost almost a million lives, thanks to traitors from your region. I’d suggest you tone down these war cries. Olodo
I am sure you have realised that time has changed a lot from the days when you guys 100% populated NNPC, simply asked Shell to provide any figure, any figure! . . .For the number of barrels drilled per day, while they signed the dotted line, received the brown envelopes and a million almajiri's were generated.

The best you will get at the negotiating table will be UN supervised, negotiated development loans on the most favourable terms. Defaults will be corrected by F-16.
There are known commercial reserves of oil and gas in the SE, SS and SW; both onshore and offshore. So what maga will seat and discuss freezing of the current situation or ceding offshore assets?

I quite believe that the Middle Belt, SE, SS and SW can coexist in a nation that practises true federalism. The core-North can form the sharia type country they always wanted.

Sacking sanusi will require 2/3's of the senate vote; http://www.abududalley.net/publications/CENTRAL%20BANK%20OF%20NIGERIA%20ACT%202007%20-%20SIGNIFICANT%20CHANGES.pdf

There are 109 senators (3 per state and one for the FCT). 82 will be required if GEJ decides to give Sanusi the boot.
The states in red will be expected to vote against a sanusi sacking due to ethnic and religious factors. While those purple would do so, because it helps with ACN's logic of ethnic seperation, that will leave just 72 votes to play with, well short of 2/3's and not all would be sure.

Sanusi is an immovable blot on the nations landscape.

If you have ever dealt with Howard, you'd know that Howard is very unorganized, and dysfunctional.

The people at Howard from the janitor to the CEO are all incompetent goons

We dont know why her degree was not released in 1987. it seems that 234Next is insinuating that it took her 9 years to complete her degree, which is impossible in most American colleges. You get 6 yrs max to finish, after that and you are not done, you are kicked out. Why did Howard not kick her out?

I assume the delay has to do with money issues. Maybe she had outstanding bills that made Howard hold on to her degree, and it was only released after she was cleared by the accounting department.

Irrespective, the report was inconclusive and shabby. I am really ashamed of 234next. This is not one of their best exposés, if you can call it that.

Programming › Re: Java Coding Challenge: Task Scheduler by Beaf: 6:12am On Aug 07, 2011

You're still the same ol' funny guy. This is what the challenge is:

There are two parts to the question.

A scheduler that accepts a task.

A timer that runs this task at exponential time intervals.

So the first time the timer runs the task it will run it for 1 sec.

after the task finishes it should then rerun the task for 2 sec, then 4 sec until it gets to a steady state of 900 secs at which point it can stop.

An example practical use of this is as a simple retry algorithm for reconnecting to a lost database connection. You know typically you might have somewhere in you code that says if you lose db connection try to reconnect. if it fails wait for a few secs and retry again.
. . .And I'm slam on 100%. It doesn't tell you what the tasks in question are (LOL!), just that they might implement an interface. All we need do, is provide the correct running time for each task. You made some wild assumptions and ended up with like 3 pages of code for what a few lines would have done.

Bow down to the code god, some (like me) are bound to be better than others.

While plotting your next reply, help yourself with this; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Task_(computing)
