@all, i really believe "giving ones opinion isn't a bad idea" people are giving different opinions, why turn it into a war zone?

Personally, i love early marriage for those that are matured in all ways. getting married to the right person early is better in so many ways. (Mind you i married in my late 20s).

My mum got married at 20 and all her colleagues that were so much into career then now envy her.(though it wasn't easy combining child bearing and education but grandma was there for her as they were in same town while dad was always coming home every weekend.) she gave birth to 2 of us while in school. and was pregnant during NYSC for the 3rd. she still graduated with a 2-1. At 48, her 4 kids were all graduates and 2 of us are married now. they all envy her now cos some of their children are still in secondary school, some eventually married the available.

i also remember a lady that finished from Maths Computer science in my school with a 1st class and 2 kids. she was happy she took the decision when she did.

if OP thinks she has all it takes to overcome any kind of situation, and her man is a very caring, loving and understanding man, i think she will not regret taking the decision. but if she wants to take the decision to keep her man, then, there may be trouble cos a man that will stay with you will do so in all weather.

Please all, lets handle matters without taking things too personally.

@op, Age is just a number, maturity is the word here, there are people older than you yet can't handle situations that come their way. I really appreciate byvan cos its not easy. My mum use to tell us that " when you want to do something and you are ready psycologically, mentally and physically for it, don't allow another come in the way" but first, assess yourself as byvan advised, then pray to God to lead your path. Also, you can't depend on ASUU cos i spent almost 7 years for a 5 year course. Wish you the best.

Davo93:

What do you mean by saying the Indians? Betterstill, why don't you say DANA airline. Indians have one of the best aeronautical engineering in the world and their enginners are almost everywhere in our aviation sector with our own people that were trained over there in India.

I thank God for averting another big loss!

despite they have good engineers, the indians have a very bad maintenance culture and also bad administrative knowledge. Try sample d companies indians run in nigeria and check out their accident rate even though they cover most of the cases.

Health / Amazing Facts About Banana. by beauty4(f): 7:11am On Sep 14, 2013
Really amazing, i saw this on facebook and decided to share.

Mary Therese
'' BANANAS...''
A very interesting FACTS
Never, put your banana in the refrigerator!!!...
This is interesting. After reading this, you'll never look at a banana in the same way again.
Bananas contain three natural sugars - sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fiber. A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy.
Research has proven that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.
But energy isn't the only way a banana can help us keep fit. It can also help overcome or prevent a substantial number of illnesses and conditions, making it a must to add to our daily diet.
DEPRESSION:
According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND amongst people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.
PMS:
Forget the pills - eat a banana. The vitamin B6 it contains regulates blood glucose levels, which can affect your mood.
ANEMIA:
High in iron, bananas can stimulate the production of hemoglobin in the blood and so helps in cases of anemia.
BLOOD PRESSURE:
This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium yet low in salt, making it perfect to beat blood pressure So much so, the US Food and Drug Administration has just allowed the banana industry to make official claims for the fruit's ability to reduce the risk of blood pressure and stroke.
BRAIN POWER:
200 students at a Twickenham (Middlesex) school ( England ) were helped through their exams this year by eating bananas at breakfast, break, and lunch in a bid to boost their brain power. Research has shown that the potassium-packed fruit can assist learning by making pupils more alert.
CONSTIPATION:
High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.
HANGOVERS:
One of the quickest ways of curing a hangover is to make a banana milkshake, sweetened with honey. The banana calms the stomach and, with the help of the honey, builds up depleted blood sugar levels, while the milk soothes and re-hydrates your system.
HEARTBURN:
Bananas have a natural antacid effect in the body, so if you suffer from heartburn, try eating a banana for soothing relief.
MORNING SICKNESS:
Snacking on bananas between meals helps to keep blood sugar levels up and avoid morning sickness.
MOSQUITO BITES:
Before reaching for the insect bite cream, try rubbing the affected area with the inside of a banana skin. Many people find it amazingly successful at reducing swelling and irritation.
NERVES:
Bananas are high in B vitamins that help calm the nervous system..
Overweight and at work? Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and chips. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.
ULCERS:
The banana is used as the dietary food against intestinal disorders because of its soft texture and smoothness. It is the only raw fruit that can be eaten without distress in over-chroniclercases. It also neutralizes over-acidity and reduces irritation by coating the lining of the stomach.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL:
Many other cultures see bananas as a 'cooling' fruit that can lower both the physical and emotional temperature of expectant mothers. In Thailand , for example, pregnant women eat bananas to ensure their baby is born with a cool temperature.
So, a banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has FOUR TIMES the protein, TWICE the carbohydrate, THREE TIMES the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals.. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around So maybe its time to change that well-known phrase so that we say, 'A BANANA a day keeps the doctor away!'PS: Bananas must be the reason monkeys are so happy all the time! I will add one here; want a quick shine on our shoes?? Take the INSIDE of the banana skin, and rub directly on the shoe...polish with dry cloth. Amazing fruit !!!

Politics / You Are Here: Home / News / Offa Rerun Election: PDP Candidate Rejects Victory O by beauty4(f): 9:42am On Sep 05, 2013
I wish we have more sincere people in this country and we will move forward. cool

Councillorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Shawo South West ward in Offa Local Government Area of Kwara State, Mr. Afolabi Olawole, has rejected the victory attributed to him following the recent rerun election held in the local government last Saturday.

He was declared the winner of the ward election by the Kwara State Independent Electoral Commission in Saturday’s rerun election.

He stunned his party, the PDP, and the public, when he declared that he did not win in the election.

According to him, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Mr. Adefioye Kayode, won the election.

He spoke during the APC’s media briefing in Offa on Wednesday.

He said he rejected his victory, as announced by KWASIEC based on what he described as his religious belief, “which forbids cheating.”

He added that his stance was also to ensure that his community did not witness violence and retrogression.

He said he was not influenced by anybody.

Olawole said, “In all the eight polling units in my ward (Shawo South West) the PDP lost, while the APC won convincingly in all the polling units in the rerun election held on August 31, 2013. As a citizen of this great town, Offa, I know so well that the town stands for equity and justice.

“To me, I know that we shall give an account of all our acts on this earth one day. On that day, there will be no influence from anybody; be it Oba, governor, leader, elder, father or mother: but you will be left alone with your deeds. In this wise, I have resolved not be a partaker in getting what is not mine from anybody at all in Offa and in Nigeria as a whole. As a native of this town, I don’t wish my town bad fate.

“If something like this continues to happen and we decide to cover it up for one reason or the other; if not now in future, we will account for it. It is very good for us to call a spade a spade anywhere we see it.”

He added, “In the interest of peace and justice in Offa and Kwara State, KWASIEC should release the authentic results of the last Saturday council poll in Offa. The people of Offa have said that they don’t want the PDP. It is clear that Offa people want the APC. It is clear also that Offa people don’t want the PDP.”

Also one of the presiding officers, Mr. Oyetunji Akin, said the APC won in the councillorship and chairmanship elections in Shaw Central ward, where he presided.

But KWASIEC had announced that PDP won the ward.

APC’s chairmanship candidate in the Offa rerun election, Mr. Saheed Popoola, called on President Goodluck Jonathan, the Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Abubakar, the Chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jegga, and all other well meaning Nigerians, to intervene.

He, however, the APC would adopt mature, peaceful and legal approaches, adding that his party had also petitioned INEC against KWASIEC.

However, Offa PDP Chairman, Goke Rabiu, claimed that Olawole had been dropped as the PDP councillorship candidate before the election. He alleged that Oluwole was dropped because he was not part of those who secured a court judgement for a rerun.

“In fact, he has since joined the APC and was part of their pre-election rally,” Rabiu said.

From the Punch http://www.punchng.com/news/offa-rerun-election-pdp-candidate-rejects-victory/

This Rabiu man is just trying to save PDP face in public.
