You missed out IHS cost of £450 for 1 year courses (300 for each year of your course and 150 for the extra time granted after your course ends).
It will go up to £470 (Tier 4 and Tier 5 applications) and £624 (for other adult categories) in October 2020.

Good morning.

Please help me clarify this.

Peradventure the IHS is increased by October, will it be 470 ×2 + 150 (extra time granted after the program ends) for a two years program

Or just 470 × 2.

Thank you

Edited some mistakes.

Citizenship by birth in UK can occur in either
1. If at least one parent has Indefinite leave to remain or British citizenship

2. The child gets to 10 years and has always lived in UK. Then regardless of the parents nationality Or status. That child can apply for citizenship based on been born in UK and have lived here for 10 years

Ahhhh...UK has stringent rules cry

Ok. Thank you

The couple have 2 Kids and the husband intends working and assisting with the kids while the wife studies. So it's gonna be a bit stressful when the baby arrives.

Another question please, will the baby be eligible for citizenship by birth? How does it work in the UK?

Good morning guys.

If a student puts to bed while studying, can she apply for her mum to come over and assist with the baby?

If yes, what type of visa will be issued to the mum and what's the duration?

They hussle to get Tier 2 or something after but yes PSW was no magic bullet. Several people had to go home after PSW ended .... but it worked out for many as well. Especially when there was Hsmp. People switched to hsmp or tier 2

Interesting... Man "gat" to hustle and pray cheesy

The old post study was for 2 years and always covered dependents which allowed both parties to do any job and no hours limit.

However those 2 years while you can use it to work , didn't count towards a 5 years work Visa path to ILR (indefinite leave to remain) then to british citizenship. It could be use for 10 years path to ILR but not the 5 years path

Wow...This is serious shocked

If the Old 2 years PSW didn't count towards towards a 5 years work visa path to ILR, how did people then make up for the 5years.
Did they apply for further studies? Or did they get a job with an employer willing to sponsor them?

Any idea?

I received offers from University of Chester
And Canterbury Christ Church University.

I believe an application can be processed without transcript, though provision of the transcript is going to be part of the conditions that will be stated in your offer.

FrannyTee:

Ok seen, which other school where you given an offer? the funny thing is I didn't even use my transcript for the application only for me to open my mail and see invitation from them for an interview. Was even looking at January intake since the pandemic is delaying me receiving my transcript.

Regarding the interview, you need to familiarize yourself with the 6 C's of Nursing and have a practical example of how each applies to you

I was asked the reason why I want to study Nursing

I should reflect on a time I did something I'm really proud of

Also to reflect on a time I helped someone make a decision and why I think it's the right decision

What are my strength and weaknesses

What are the challenges I feel I might encounter while studying Nursing

These are the much I can remember.

Note: Try as much as possible to answer every question you're asked with practical examples relating to the 6C's of Nursing

I wish you the best in your interview.

Meanwhile I received an offer from them though their conditions are much. I'm yet to make a decision smiley

Thank you so much.

From what I know, teaching at CCCU is good though not as rigorous as UKC (it's rigorous too), hasn't got as much funding as UKC and in terms of ranking, it's just a few places behind UKC so it's still quite good. I met quite a number of international CCCU students (blacks, Europeans, Asians e.t.c) and they seemed content with the value being provided.
The rivalry between UKC and CCCU is high.

Canterbury is a beautiful town and you'd love it if you're into picturesque landscapes. The locals are welcoming; it's also a small and quiet place; Walking from the city centre to UniKent takes roughly 40-60 minutes. There are 3 universities in Canterbury (University of Kent, Canterbury Christ Church University and the University of Creative Arts) so a large student population exists.

Wow... thanks for this detailed information.

I got an offer from Canterbury Christ Church University and has been a bit skeptical cause I have no clue on how students life, job, cost of living and general experience in Canterbury is like, coupled with the fact that the school seems unpopular. But Seeing this explanation has given me an insight on life in Canterbury.

Please do you have any idea about CCCU in respect to their teaching excellence and population of international students?

Wow!! That's serious.

mimilyrics:
Subject to approval usually means that the program is in the final stages of approval and that the school is doing all that it can to ensure (but not guaranteeing) that the course is ready to run at the next intake

Good evening house

I came across this phrase "subject to validation" on the course page for Adult Nursing, University of Chester.

Does it mean that the course has NOT been fully accredited by NMC?

I've written to the school for clarifications but no feedback yet.

Any idea on what this means before someone enters one chance of studying unaccredited course..

See the attached below

A form will be sent to you in which you're required to fill in the duration you've worked, the job title, description and number of hours achieved.

You're expected to briefly outline the services rendered in each job.

You will see an example in the form to guide you through.

I hope this helps.

Access2017:

Yes I do.

I started a voluntary service a few months back.
So, Am I expected to write on my nursing experience to form the portfolio or what? Please what do I do?

Many thanks

Thank you. The interview was okay.

They asked me why I want to study nursing.
I should tell them about a time I did something I was really proud of and will like to reflect on.
I should talk about a time I helped someone make a choice and what why I think I did the right thing.
Are there any challenges I think I might face while studying the course.

I had the interview yesterday and haven't received the offer yet but they told me at the end of the interview that they have accepted me unto the program.

Congratulations on your offer.
Please was IELTS requested from you?

I’m afraid that might not be enough to get you registered with HCPC but like I said earlier make sure u apply and take voluntary laboratory training offers when you get to the UK. Even if it’s 2 or 3 days weekly

Thank you, I appreciate

Institute of Biomedical Scientists (IBMS) and registration is done through Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)

Do you have previous job experience in Nigeria? If no ur chances are very slim. However, if you come to the UK (maybe as a student) you might be able to get unpaid experience which will then increase ur chance.

This is my area of specialisation and I will be willing to answer any more questions

I have a one year experience as a Graduate intern in the laboratory department of a hospital.

Though my most recent experience isn't related to Biological Science sector.

Can the 1 year experience suffice?

Good evening fellow landers.
I studied Biological Sciences which is in the shortage occupation list.

Does anyone have an idea of the approved body that registers Biological Sciences? Or guidelines on how to get a tier 2 visa with the course.

Thank you
