What a nice way to end my day in the office reading that piece. it was like watching a short comedy drama.

Banking in Naija is a necessary evil, i personlly dont have love fo bankers, there are always out to cheat you in any transaction. i bank with intercontinental bank, my cheque book was printed with wrong serial number, yet i was charged for it, i pointed out the mistake to them when i had problems using it in another branch, i was asked to make a fresh aplication for another one. i did that and the bunch of hustler called workers in the bank repeated the same error, yet i was still charged for it.

I had similiar issues with access bank, but this time two cheque booklets was printed and my account deducted when i didnt make any request, my atm was deactivated for two months, yet i was receiving sms for atm account maintenance. i felt bad after several reports to address the situation yield no friut and made to move my close my account with the bank, bam the my account officer didnt let me rest as he told me , if he losses me as a customer, he will be sacked.


For all those making comments of putting your money in your pillows, the bank wont let you rest from sending hoards of bleached skin ladies after you irrespective of your gender. Our saviour is the Govt and the bank regulators.

HMMN, do i smell some distress in Access Bank if AP doesnt pay. I am not sympathetic to the bank, the deduct all manners of charges from your account and have a kini big deal attitude when you dare question them like they are doing you a favour banking with them.

I'ts time to start selling some your shares in AP and withdrawing some of your cash from the bank, just to be safe. its just my opinion.

why should your bank charge for deposit above 1m and run and send ladies out in the street to beg for money all in the name of target which is often in millions.
What are the charges for? are they building new vaults or what?

i went to Ecobank on friday for a transaction and read a notice that says, the bank will start taking N5 per for every deposit above N500K as well as N5 if you have above 500K as your balance at the close of work everyday. While the former is no news, the latter is worrysome as per it is this same banks that sends their staffs out for agressive marketing for some unrealistic millions and now they want to start charging customers again based on their bank balance.

if this is this part of surviving the economic melt down, we the customers should start devising a means to beat all this phoney charges the bank are imposing on us. just my feelings.

thanks for the updates, i am practically gettin my info from your updates as i cant watch live for now,( just got transferred to Lagos) and the landlord has dissappeared after paying him to fix my apartment so i am stucked with cnn in the hotel.
