DIKEnaWAR: They don't know what's going on. They think the girl will return to be asking people "Oi is this your car mate? Did you just park a here without a ticket mate?". She is gone and gone for good. I am sure she hasn't enjoyed herself in the UK the way she might be enjoying in Big brother's house. After the show, she will stay back in Nigeria and start acting, doing shows and speaking" Oi and mate" at events. She will sell out and make big bucks.
These Oyibo people always think we are a bush people and can't do without them. I don't blame sha. Not when people perish every day at the MEDITERRANEAN Sea just to cross over their side, illegally.
Nansense!
u are right...they really think we are bush...black people now own pop culture...and we must guard our space well...a lot of money to be made in pop lifestyle
CrimeKsmart: I like your last sentence. Even when SW knows they naturally deserve it, people like Tinubu are still working hard to get it. This is to tell you that SW is doing everything to get that ticket and not having this "entitlement mentality".
lol...tinubu is not doing anything different that he hasnt been doing since 1999. The thing is that as our democracy deepings, it becomes less predictable. Nobody knows who will be president in 2023
Raymagnate: Due to rapid urbanization and population growth, the West African city Lagos, has been ranked as the fastest-growing city overall in the 2017–2030 timeline. Lagos is home to over 20 millions people and its the fastest and most populated city in Africa. By the next twelve years, Lagos will house 9% of the global population, contribute 15% of the world's GDP and take up about 3% of global land mass.
This is a compilation of drone shot in the vibrant city.
ladeturner69: where your knowledge stops another begins did you know the south west is the part that generates most income for our country or do you know Lagos government are already planning on banning vechiles using petrol and other crudes by 2019 or the fact the state is already constructing metro lines already i .e reduce public road transportion?? or the fact its the ranked no.1 for investment in west Africa or the fact it's known as the economic capital of west Africa or have for once thought of the reason most headquarters of big organizations are on Lagos and not the fact or why the best hotels are here i .e oriental,Sheraton,e.t.c or why the biggest clubs are here (quilox,57,Vegas,royalee.t.c) or why most celebrities live here
Lagos is a developing developed society with elite citizens and performing leadership all I wrote der are the main sources of its riches and not your so called oil Lastly did you know Lagos is rich enough to fund Nigeria's budget for the next 20 years and won't go broke
you need a visit to Lagos to see for your self
chai...is it the lagos i know...or are we talking another thing? Chai chai chai
BigBabyJesus: The north has never divided the south, it is the Yorubas that have been betraying the south.
Buhari has given them VP and Speaker -number 2 and number 4 positions.
Buhari has appointed them into his govt.
When the north tells them in 2023 that they are ungrateful and greedy they will remind them of the positions they enjoyed under Buhari.
The thing is this, everybody plays politics with his own clique.
Buhari's clique includes tinubu's camp....kwankwaso and tambulwal's clique includes the current SE and SS leaders.
What will happen is simple...APC will do primary and nominate a yoruba....PDP will do primary and nominate a northerner...both will choose their vp from the proper regions according to their calculation. They will sell their mandate to the people and the people will vote.
As buhari said recently....nobody should expect to be handed presidency on a platter
This is typical aboki household...yes this man is rich but wat about the aboki keke driver that has 4 wives and 16 children in the name of islam?
Do u all see why nigeria will NEVER develope? We birth more people than our land and resources can contain and inadvertently populate the nation with potential criminals and terrorists.
Islam is practiced in France...yet they all marry one wife each...why is it different in africa...as usual.
Buhari is the 21st child of his father....just imagine that
raymege: @bede What you do for a living is actually inconsequential here, so long it's legit; it should be anyone's problem or business. How a man makes his money is up-to him, so long it's legit - it's fine. It doesn't matter if you are a CEO or a cleaner;we all start from somewhere.
The problem with you post is your insensitivity(she mentioned she was recently widowed - that alone is enough for you to be courteous) and you choice of language.
You should be apologizing ,no need dragging this issue it's just a distraction .
Apologize and move on, we all make mistakes sometimes.
Blema111: It’s your personal experience...respect or no respect, some people want to stay there. So don’t force it anyone. It’s not by force. If you are tired, you can come back and they will gladly take your spot since it’s only money you are after. Please stop discouraging the lady that asked the question.
one white old man i work with is always asking me when i will go back and help develope my country...its painful. A french guy here asked me why am in oil company abroad when we have oil in nigeria...that if france has half our oil he wont be here. I understand why many young ppl want to leave....but i dont understand why older ppl doing well in naija will wanna come here permanently...i just wont ever get it. I mean u can visit often..but drop every and move here? Nawa. Let me drop it sha...to each his own.
waynee2baba: I told you that you were silly and seem quite frustrated. You've not said what you do in your 'abroad' that's causing this your bitter attitude and frustration towards discouraging people unnecessarily. Return to Nigeria if you want to, nobody will judge you for being a Lorry driver in Dubai.
i am actually an engineer working in an oil company...earn good money and live well....but know that we have no respect here. Guy, no place like home. If i earn half the money i earn here in nigeria, i will think seriously about coming home
Printerscanner: And information on the internet is what will build roads, hospitals, schools, electricity and create employment. Lazy youths doing Yahoo Yahoo.
this one dont know that the information about nigeria on the internet is the 1st and sometimes the only thing foreigners will know about nigeria.
While the rest of the world are packaging their country on social media...nigeria as usual is asking stupid questions smh
DBlessedofGod: To be honest your response was totally off, I have colleagues who were earning well over a million and still migrated to Canada and they are glad they did. Firstly the poster mentioned she needed a new breath of air, if her sister is saying she shouldn't come it could be she is afraid of having to accommodate her or she is got some personal reasons.
You mentioned you stay abroad, abeg abroad different from abroad ooo so pls let's know where you are so that we can avoid it.
Happy hols
i think my mistake was not realising the level of desperation of people here to leave nigeria. I know many succesful nigerians who left abroad and came back to nigeria and made it. 1. Roban stores ceo 2. Davido 3. Bank w 4 dangote 5 adenuga 6. Tboss And a million more nigerian celebs and biz men. My intention is to put something together in nigeria and come back asap. If u are doing well in nigeria, u can travel the world as u please. I repeat my advice to that person...nobody knows u and canada better than ur sis...listen to her
spendoon: Bro fulanis May not be upto 60 Million but those peeps are highly populated even more than the Hausa people they live in bushes in the north not cities or villages and they have started rejecting people calling them Hausafulanis they say they are just fulanis now and the Hausa people are more treatend by the fulanis than any other tribe in Nigeria go to the core north villages and see how Fulani bandits will enter and kill hundreds of people in a village sometimes they even tell some minority tribes that it the Hausa people they want to attack they should leave the villages before they come. Nigerians just have to set their differences aside and work on this Fulani issue because to me a major enemy has just awaken because something is up and the government knows about it.
hmmm...wat u said here is giving me goose pimples o....there is fire on the mountain
raymege: Where this one from comeout again? It's better you just keep shut than this response. Some people just think they can tell adults how to live their lives.
awon canada slaves...am abroad o...and am telling u...dont quit a comfortable life and come here o...after msc u will be looking for canada experience and be driving uber in the mean time...its not easy o
mcobex: You know you could have just passed at the post without saying anything, right? You think everyone that travels out of Nigeria is doing it for the money? The said person clearly said he wanted to start over somewhere outside, he has his reasons (best known to him). Please let's be mindful the way we talk to people here
he was also asking us if he would make it...and provided aditionally info about wat his own sis told him...do u want to lie to him that its all bed of roses abroad and he should ignore his sis advice and take ur own? Do u live abroad? I do and i will NEVER advice someone earning 500k in naija to quit and move abroad...at 43 no less...damn...thats just....anyway his life...his biz
Unless its a war u are running from...but to just quit and move...hmmm.ok
CanadaOrBust: Well, it says they number 40 million TOTAL yet 65m in Naija. Wiki is mixed up
they edited it themselves to justify their aggression across west africa to international observers who rely on wiki and online resources. But as usual they messed it up again...typical aboki style
The fula tribe is maybe up to 20 million but no more than 30 million. This edit must not stand. Let our internet gurus re-edit the nonsense and report to wikipedia immediately...we cannot sit in our own house and burst out testicles
crushsugar: Update: life continues, I am at peace with myself. This period is for house hunting. I have not been finding it funny sha. It seems like the houses are rented as soon as they are advertised. I have gone to view a new one yesterday and the landlord said about 6persons have viewed the property . I am hopeful I will get good news though cos exams are fast approaching and I need to move out of the free accommodation this month end. Lesson for the week, our perceptions of of words, expressions and phrases are different, we must be alert to how we are being understood because casual word/action can mean something serious to another person.
congrats on ur new job and life. Quick questions
1. Must u write the 2nd exam in u.k? Can u write it elsewhere?
2. Do u need experience to qualify to write the exam? How many yrs experience?
