naijacentric:u certainly dont know ur history....show me link were igbos have ever been killed by the ss....mumu man ijaw dont trust us yet gej surrounded himself with igbos |
naijacentric:lagos is afonja land bro....come to the ss or se and talk nonsense....unless u come from edo or delta (non-igbo part). u guys can go with Yoruba if u want. surprising u say u dont trust us yet since 1970 only the igbos have got ur back in nigeria...unintelligent things |
DaBullIT: resurgent2019:yorubas never understand anything. of course u are the glue holding nigeria together....but guess wat an average igbo man wants to do to that glue? yes u guessed right eventually igbos will win...even if it takes 100 more years |
kingzizzy:muykem read this response over and over again. i know it will take u sometime to grasp its real meaning. ojukwu fought to defend his people and lands...what did yorubas fight for? u fought to enthrone hausa over the rest of nigeria....including urseves. no wonder no other nigerians were strong enough to fight for u when they came for ur abiola muykem: |
naijacentric:so says someone living in sulurere lagos. enter p.h talk wetin u just talk |
ebujany:u believe he is Igbo? Dude that was calling se an erosion ravaged red mud gully in another thread? Nawa u o |
gidgiddy:I feel u bro. i only suggested that the 36 states should be federating units to the regions, while the 6 regions should be federating units to the center. the 774 lga should be scraped. The north will fall in line if the south wills the big stick of southern unity and open, official revolt |
Xander85:no no no. the 774 lga should be scraped pls. i will never suggest holding on to them. am just saying the elected chairmen should transition to 774 regional assembly legislators. |I'm igbo and yes i feel u on the 2nd point. I want ss igbos to be part of se |
As the picture below shows, the six geopolitical zones need to become six authonomous regions, with an elected government. Other reforms can be in the following forms; A suggestion on how restructure can be; 1. Recognise the six geopolitical zones as federating units and let INEC conduct elections to elect their governors. Name the SE zone as Biafra state, SW as Odu'a state, SS as Niger Delta state, NC as Middle Belt state, NW as Arewa state, NE as Kanuri state. 2. The current 36 states will become metropolitan areas and the current 36 governors will become Mayors. Scrap entirely the current 774 LGA arrangment. The current LGA chairmen will go to the new six state assemblies as legislators. The councilors will be dissmissed. 3. Return Ilorin and Kabba to Odu'a state. Asaba, and other Igboid part of SS should be conceeded to Biafra (to quell unnessesary agitation). Ijaw part of Ondo should return to Niger Delta state. The fulani part of Kwara and Niger go to Arewa state. Nasarawa should go to Kanuri state. The Christian part of Taraba goes to Middle Belt state. 4. The offshore oil belongs to us, therefore we must share. The 36 Metros should still get what they are currently getting, while the new six states should now get what the LGA where getting before. So a state will get only the amount that would have accrued to the LGA it had before. The oil fields found inland should however be ceded to host communities. The assets of NNPC and NLNG should still belong to FG but must be treated as a private company when minning oil found inland. 5. Some NPF police officers should be transfered to state service as state police. Same should be with some prison wardens as state prison officers. Many of items on exclusive list (such as energy and power generation) should be moved to concurrent list to allow states participate. Only defence, foreign affairs and currency operations should be exclusive. Because of this, the oil revenue share retained by the FG will decrease to give more to the 6 states and 36 metros. 6. Increase the number of senator to 115. The extra 6 should be one first class king from each of the 6 states. Such as the sultan, ooni, obi, oba of benin etc. The new 6 states should have houses of chiefs to be made up of the remaining top monarchs in the zone. Any monarch not included should be considered irrelevant and derobed. The office of the Senate President and his deputy should be discontinued. Let the Vice President double as Senate President while the majority leader acts as his deputy. 7. Some LGA Civil Servants should be absorbed by the new states, the rest should be dissmissed. Federal roads should also become State responsibility, while airports, Seaports and railway should remain with FG. All seaports should have equal status. By this, agitations will reduce grossly to give government at each level chance to do its job. Also the unaccounted waste by the current 774 LGAs will stop. The FG by this arrangement sheds power, but not enough to make it irrelevant. Also traditional rulers start actually working for the Nation to compensate for the millions they cost us. By this also Biafra would have been given to my Igbo people, Niger Delta would have been given to SS and Odu'a would have been given to SW.

fk001:Its not unnecessary nagging. Its re-awakening. We have suffered so much in your hands; not because you are stronger or smarter than us, but simply because of our own lack of unity in the south. The south doesn't really need the north if we want to be sincere. Why does the south need the north? Agriculture? If agriculture is just the food we eat, who was feeding the south before one Nigeria? Also cant the south buy food from you if we divide? You are the ones who need us. Remember what led to the amalgamation in the 1st place? Has anything changed? In the olden days, the south supported the northern economy with sales from cocoa, palm oil and coal. Today the south is still supporting the northern economy with sales from crude oil and VAT. Why oh why do we need u? Lets go our separate ways, the south wants to be like Benin Republic, no wahala. |
As I said, history wont be kind on Awolow and Azikiwe. But as it is today, history may not be kind on Tinubu, Obasanjo/ GEJ, Ekweremadu (the new leaders of the south). These guys are making the same naive mistakes the former southern leaders made The nation needs restructure so that we can diversify away from Niger Delta oil, but the southern leaders are doing nothing about it. The southern leaders need to fight for this just the way the north fought for and got sharia. The north has been winning while the south has been loosing since 1967. There has never been a political union of the south. PDP was East/north alliance, while APC is West/North alliance. We need to unite politically and get restructuring. We the south will benefit from a restructured Nigeria in the following way. 1. The Niger Delta will own 50% of their oil 2. The south will own its internal security and no longer have to wait on the north to tackle certain sensitive issues of security 3. The north will develop their agriculture and the country can eventually benefit from it 4. We in the south will have full control of our economy 5. We in the south can unite politically in a regional Nigeria. |
In 1957, the 3 regions of Nigeria had a rare window of opportunity to go their separate ways as different Nations, they didn't. Today we know that was a monumental mistake for the Eastern Region. Ironically, oil was discovered in 1957 in the Eastern Region. The political actors of the East then could have insisted on going it alone at that discovery. Today, the least willing member of One Nigeria in 1957 (The Northern Region), is now the highest beneficiary. Niger Republic has a low HDI of 0.353 and a low GDP per capita of $440. Niger Republic is probably the worst country in the world. North Nigeria Republic (or whatever name they would have chosen as an independent Nation) would have been worse than Niger Republic, especially because of over population. Today the North is not just part of a Nigeria finance and powered by the south, they are actually the rulers of Nigeria. History will judge Awolowo and Azikiwe harshly if history decides to be honest. These two people could have carved out their region from Nigeria and gone ahead to position them as Africa's trend setters and trailblazers; shortsightedness did'n allow them see that one Nigeria is bound to fail for so many obvious reasons.

Saviour22:the mumu u quoted is actually a yoruba guy. check his old posts. and ur response is exactly what he wanted to see. Igbos are too busy to be as petty as u fools |
Okoroawusa:Its not Buhari. The data is from 1997-2017 |
Its worth noting that Nigeria has indeed made progress since the military era which left every sector and city in rot. ppl quickly call PDP party of thieves, but that party has moved Nigeria ahead the most as at today if we call the Military a political party (which indeed it became). ppl are quick to post nostalgic pics of Nigeria in the early 60s and wish we can go back to that time. Niggero please! Apart from Lagos, most of Nigeria then were bushes. Is that where u want Nigeria to remain. I am a core Biafran apologist because I believe we can be better as a ppl if we form countries based on shared ethnic, culture and religious homogenity, but Nigeria is so much better today in infrastructure and life in general than it ever was, and we can all be proud of that and hope for better improvements still. Mynd44 move to FP please |
According to the report by CNBC Arabia, Qatar achieved an average rate of 10.5% compound annual growth to come on top of the world. China ranked second with an economic growth rate of 9.1%, Ethiopia third with a growth rate of 8%, India fourth with 7% and Nigeria fifth in the world with 5.8% growth. Nigeria which recovered from a two year economic recession recently had been on growth steroids previously, reaching an all time high of 10.59 percent in the third quarter of 2010. Nigeria became the fastest growing economy in Africa and 3rd fastest in the world in 2014, until recession hit in 2016 when growth went to an all time low of -13.98 percent in the first quarter. Ethiopia, Africa's second most populated country, is now the fastest growing economy in Sub-Saharan Africa this year, according to new data from the IMF. Ethiopia's economy is predicted to grow by 8.5% this year. The figures signal continued economic expansion following a long period of impressive growth. In the last decade, Ethiopia has averaged around 10% economic growth, according to the IMF. To boost the economy, the country is pursuing a number of large-scale infrastructure projects, including the Grand Renaissance Dam and a railway network. Though Addis Ababa is fast becoming a major city, comparing life indicators between Nigeria and Ethiopia still tips the scale in favour as Nigeria: Nigeria Ethiopia 1. GDP $460 Billion $87 Billion 2. Population 185,989,640 102,403,196 3. Per capita Income $2,376 $927.39 4. HDI 0.514 0.448 5. GavelSlam: deomelo:I hope u remember this ur post when the tide turns bro. Your APC wont be in power all thru ur lifetime... not to talk about forever. Say the same thing when u are siding the senate against a tyranical president |
Its simple. Saraki and Tambulwal should cross carpet to PDP and help defeat the dullard. Saraki will retain his seat as senate president till 2023. Tambulwal whose tenure ends in 2023 will position himself as Senate president. |
Osinbajo was never a pastor. He may be a prof. But pastor? Nah! He is just another mutivational speaker who get paid for giving speeches in church. A pastor who is serving Tinubu? You cant serve 2 masters at a time. Its in the bible. Tinubu is a criminal and so is osinbajo |
btee13:1st of all...prove what i said wrong...with better arguement |
