Let me get this right….
Some people stole land from people, did not pay them for the lands and chased them away.

Now the court says the children of the land grabbers (lets say the land grabbers are dead and stuff) should give the lands to the children of the original owners because it is theirs and you expect people to say it is wrong?

The issue of crime in SA is one of hopelessness. Poor people without any other means to feed have turbed to crime due to decades of marginalization and silly economic policies. Crime needs to be fought, criminals need stiffer punishments. These criminals include those who stole lands belonging to blacks because it is theft and deserve punishment too.

As for the water situation in Cape Town, there is a drought. It is not the government's fault, what can they do? The only reservior left is all but dried up and de-sallination of sea water is out of reach.
why is that? I live in middle east and we dont lack water despite the year in year out drought...cos of desallination

Forget about Oduduwa Republic, the average Yoruba man simply has no sense of self determination. The best the Yoruba nation hope for is for a few high positions in the government of Nigeria and perpetually hope that one day, maybe a thousand years from now, the core North Will have mercy on them and finally give them restructuring.

Igbos are far better than this. We Igbos should forget Yorubas and aspire to our independence from Nigeria
You might just be right with the bolded. But more importantly is the question - What does the yoruba nation truly want. We know the Hausa fulani wants ethnic domination and islamization of Nigeria. We knw Igbos and Niger Delta tribes want independence. We dont really know what the yorubas want. If u ask them they say 'development'. That is vague...every ethnic group wants development

I feel that an independent Biafra and an Independent Oduduwa Yoruba nation along with South Africa would be the 3 most developed Sub saharan African Nations by 2050

My yoruba brothers should wake up. Hausa Fulani cannot lead us to where we want to be.

Nigeria cannot work because of its diversity which always brings agitations and violence.

The more homogeneous a Nation is, the more chances it has of progressing.

U.S was able to progress despite its diversity because it was endowed with rich mineral resources and responsible (mostly British) leadership.

lets stop running round a circle and hoping we will get anywhere. lets support Biafra and Oduduwa...lets support seccession
Yes u are right. I believe that part of our problem is religious and cultural diversity. It was meant to be a strenght...but unfortunately given the African mentality became a weakness. People are inclined to support members of their tribe and/or religion against national interests. The millitary juntas from 1983 to 1999 were able to succeed because northerners backed the govt. The govt eventually led to the collapse of society.
I believe that Hausas will never allow somebody like Buhari rule them for long if Hausa was a soverign nation
Politics › Nnamdi Azikiwe Composed The Biafran Anthem In 1966 by Bede2u(op): 10:11pm On Mar 29, 2018
"Land of the Rising Sun" was the proclaimed national anthem of the secessionist African state of Biafra, in south-eastern Nigeria. The tune was adopted from Sibelius' "Finlandia", and written by Nnamdi Azikiwe.

Land of the rising sun, we love and cherish,
Beloved homeland of our brave heroes;
We must defend our lives or we shall perish,
We shall protect our lives from all our foes;
But if the price is death for all we hold dear,
Then let us die without a shred of fear.

Hail to Biafra, consecrated nation,
O fatherland, this be our solemn pledge:
Defending thee shall be a dedication,
Spilling our blood we’ll count a privilege;
The waving standard which emboldens the free
Shall always be our flag of liberty.

We shall emerge triumphant from this ordeal,
And through the crucible unscathed we’ll pass;
When we are poised the wounds of battle to heal,
We shall remember those who died in mass;
Then shall our trumpets peal the glorious song
Of victory we scored o’er might and wrong.

Oh God, protect us from the hidden pitfall,
Guide all our movements lest we go astray;
Give us the strength to heed the humanist call:
To give and not to count the cost’ each day;
Bless those who rule to serve with resoluteness,
To make this clime a land of righteousness.

Travel › A Place In Georgia, U.S Called 'Igbo Landing!' by Bede2u(op): 7:06pm On Mar 28, 2018
Igbo Landing (alternatively written as Ibo Landing, Ebo Landing, or Ebos Landing) is a historic site at Dunbar Creek on St. Simons Island, Glynn County, Georgia. It was the setting of a mass suicide in 1803 by captive Igbo people who had taken control of their slave ship and refused to submit to slavery in the United States. The event's moral value as a story of resistance towards slavery has symbolic importance in African American folklore and literary history.

Apparently the Africans went ashore and subsequently, under the direction of a high Igbo chief among them, walked in unison into the creek singing in the Igbo language "The Water Spirit brought us, the Water Spirit will take us home". They thereby accepted the protection of their god Chukwu and death over the alternative of slavery. Roswell King, a white overseer on the nearby Pierce Butler plantation, wrote one of the only contemporary accounts of the incident which states that as soon as the Igbo landed on St. Simons Island they took to the swamp, committing suicide by walking into Dunbar Creek.

The story of the Igbo slaves who chose death over a life of slavery is a recurring story that has taken deep roots in African American and Gullah folklore. As is typical of oral histories, the facts have evolved over time, in many cases taking on mythological aspects. Some say they walked on water while others say they developed wings and flew back to Africa. Local people claim that the Igbo Landing and surrounding marshes in Dunbar Creek are haunted by the souls of the dead Igbo slaves.

In September 2002 the St. Simons African-American Heritage Coalition organized a two-day commemoration with events related to Igbo history and a procession to the site. The 75 attendees came from other states, as well as Nigeria, and Belize and Haiti, where similar resistance had taken place. They gathered to designate the site as holy ground and give the souls rest. The account of the Igbo is now part of the curriculum for coastal Georgia schools.

Wrong that was March 2015 after the election but that's not the issue.

The issue is that southern democratic presidents over 13 years FAILED to provide the basics of governance and institutionalised corruption (which was the hallmark of jack booted military dictators), yet the campaign for their reelection was intense in the south, so you have no moral authority to chide any northerner for supporting their preferred candidates. It is pure hypocrisy.
when was the election? 28 march or not?
Why would i not chide bigoted northerners when i left gej a fellow southerner to vote in a northerner. When millions of sw left a fellow southerner to vote in a northerner...only for u guys to want to re-elect him on the basis that he is a northerner. Meanwhile nigeria steadily climbed from 3rd largest economy in africa to 1st under southerners. Nigeria left the Least develped list to developing economy under southerners. Nigeria financial sector ranked 2nd best in africa under southerners. Nigeria became a stable demoracy under southerners who are ever willing to leave power.

North failed nigeria...the south is wat is sustaining nigeria. Argue with ur fore fathers. Bye

Then they said he was a dictator until we reminded them that both OBJ and David Mark were too.
Then they left him and started attacking Jega but Jega Defended himself well
Then they postponed the election. We were still not detered
Then they left Jega and started demonising a private citizen like Tinubu just to destabilise GMB
What they don't know is that giving the Child's play GEJ did in the name of ruling Nigeria these 5 years, More Nigerians are tired and would even Vote a Shehu Shagari than Vote Jonathan!

As for military dictatorships....it happened cos the northern masses supported it. The first coup failed cos it wasnt a northern coup. The 1990 okar coup failed cos it wasnt a northern coup.

U guys put us in the mess we are in now. After obj a southern soldier returned the country to democracy in 79 u guys destroyed it cos u were afraid powr would return to south.

In 1993 u guys also supported the destruction of democracy cos abiola a southerner was about to rule. U guys would have gladly supported a coup in 2003 if obj didnt effectively put an end to such nonsense

why are you preaching hatred my brother? Nigerians is a different terrain compared to others. we are still a developing society. All the things you made mention, you only talked about one and that's palm oil. do you know how many things we consume that are from the north. do your research...

My brother, I don't like any tribe myself, I wish there was a Yoruba state myself where we can think and rule ourselves base on our ideologies. One thing am still saying is, the north has a different ideology, likewise the south east and south south, the subject matter that brought upon our argument is attack the subject matter and leave the region out of it, No particular region is better off. Stop the ridicule as if we are any better.
I still maintain my stands, the whites made us to start respecting dogs because of the way they portrayed them to be, some even use their toothbrushes for dogs, some sleep together with them on the same bed, some have sex with them etc we don't hear words like they are illiterate, rather, we took it as their ways.
Whites dont have sex with dogs in the same proportion as fulani has sex with cattle.
Fulani and hausa are the most backward regions in nigeria. Can we agree on that? They give us beef, tomato, onions. We give them palm oil, yam, casava, cocoa.
Nigeria will be a better nation without the north. It has nothing to do with religion. In central african republic, the fulani there are xtians. They are still as backward as their muslim counterparts here

With conclusions like this, we will never have an headway, despite the education you have, we still be ruled by this people. who's now illiterate?
The media keeps portraying nonsense to our face like anything from the north is zero yet, we eat their food, fruits, meat etc.
No nation can grow with this level of hatred towards each other, its either time, we learn to respect each other and move on so far we still together....
The so called leaders gather together to celebrate one of the best weddings ever in Nigeria over the weekend, there was no issue of hausa , ibo or Yoruba....Dangote invited a Yoruba artiste, KSA, wizkid, davido and even omawunmi. That's the beauty of diversity. Remove the sentiments that becloud your sense of judgment and let's see things from the first point of respect and tolerate one another....No one tribe is perfectly better than the other!
most things from the north is zero. They also eat our food or do they have palm oil? We have remained down because of their penchant to support their mediocre sons over competent southerners. They will never stop doing it and we will never grow. They would also quickly resort to violence.

As for hate and development...u.s hate blacks but they still developing. South africa hated blacks for long but still developed...south and north korea hate themselves but are still developing. Xtian lebanese and muslim lebanese hate themselves but are still developing. Nigeria can develop with hate if we can hate the right pple. The north is the right pple to hate. Pending when all ethnic nationalities can be given some form of semi autonomy, we all have to keep tolerating each other.
