ndujekwu: Young man or Lady; stop being dramatic. A story has three (3) sides..... urs, mine and the truth. You know nothing about the truth so don't be a bigot
The decisions in the law court, we know is not always right, but working towards being perfect based on evidence(s) presented That means you choosing to believe her own side makes your judgement warped. This is an incident that happened 10 years ago and you think the guy will still have the vivid memories of the said incident ? Please think! |

ndujekwu: Am forced to believe the eye-witness. I just pray they reconsider their court prayer for another appeal, else, she should start buying provisions for her 5-years boarding house
It's well.... Yes. Being her fan and sentiments forced you to believe the eye witness. Smh |

Why is he protecting the so called eye witness ? Why is he popping out now ? Okay that apart:
Did she remove the number plate as we read earlier ?
Did she refuse to apologize publicly because of her "career"? If any of the above is true then she is guilty. It's not strange to see things like knowing the average Nigerian holds no regard for life especially when they have little money. She must do the time! |

Lol! I don't know why everything about Nigeria is always quantity and not quality! What actually makes a megacity? It's not just by population, even the so called Lekki and VI are considered "middle income" in advanced countries, I don't know what people actually celebrate in this slum. |
Computers › Re: Why Can't I Side Load Window 8.1 With Ubuntu 15.10 by BedLam: 4:12pm On Mar 16, 2016 |
FrankLampard: It seems Microsoft and this Hardware Manufacturer have signed a deal that won't allow other OS's to install on the hardware. The best thing to do is to use a Virtual system. I for one think this your method is archaic because you can't run both OS same time unlike when you use VirtualBox or VMWare. VMware is the best when you want to run different OSs. It takse less than 10 minutes to set up and right now, I'm running windows 7 and Xubuntu on my windows 8.1, that's 3 OSs. just figure out how to do it, it's easy. |

abatically: Nna op, must u call on NCC over everything. Is it by force to use spectranet? There are other isp's so if u are not satisfied change ur network. Moreover even with the increase in tarrif it is still cheaper than competition. Swift also charge 10k for 20gb, but spectranet still gives 10gb free for night surfing so I don't see what u are complaining about. Oya if u still no satisfy go on strike as that is what is trending in the country now. U think say this na petrol? Na so dem shout when dstv increase tarrif as if dstv is the only pay TV in the country. Why government no provide these amenities for her citizens in the first place. Oh I forgot, even the basic amenities like petrol and electric dem never fit provide na Internet dem go come give u. from their website , it's actually unlimited from 1am to about 6am. The 10gig extra runs from now until May or so. The catch is actually the unlimited while the 10 gig is a promo. Overall it's a good one if you ask me. |

Business › Re: What Does It Take To Start A Bank In Nigeria? by BedLam(op): 11:02pm On Mar 10, 2016 |
overboard: I don't think the $10b capital base is feasible o, haba!
Starting a bank in Nigeria of today is truly between a rock and a hard place but I know of one guy who says they are starting up one pretty soon, this year. He was Head of Equity Capital Markets in one of the banks that has been bought over... This is the reason new players are not in the scene. Just recycled ones. I bet their cabals might frustrate one as in any case with Nigeria. Thanks for your input. I will be watching out for the new one and see how it unfolds. |
Business › Re: What Does It Take To Start A Bank In Nigeria? by BedLam(op): 5:00pm On Mar 10, 2016 |
Jethrolite: Lol, it is not even meant to be a 10 man business unless there is a billionaire with spare cash among you. Here's the thing, in Nigeria no one wants to invest in your idea as a matter of fact no one will. You need to start on your own, when you probably start seeing profit or gross transaction value close to N1bn, venture capitalists and investors will give you a listening ear. Study paga and hotels.ng, I mean Tayo Oviosu and Mark Essien to see how they eventually got funded. Tayo was funded from start because he had a solid financial background in the USA, nobody paid attention to Mark until hotels.ng became sustainable for over a year.
Insurance and banking are 2 very different businesses and it is not an easy business to break into in Nigeria. Nigerians do not use insurance especially on the serviceable market you have in mind. Institutional users are already taken and you do not have the finance or lobbying power to grab market share. True. How much do you think one need to be insured by NDIC ? |
Business › Re: What Does It Take To Start A Bank In Nigeria? by BedLam(op): 4:57pm On Mar 10, 2016 |
mordtonia: Get to know one bank CEO and learn the ropes from him, then become his rival. Believe me, as long as he wont get a share from it, nothing will fall off him. Nigerians are not used to healthy competition. |
