From what I see, you lack tolerance. People like want to be in control and when you are not or things don't work your way then your anger comes which spiral. I wish I could recommend a book to you but I haven't any right now. You can google. Your case is not easy but if you want to change, you will see change. |
lawnreigh:stereotypes always have a root cause. Overall, our education isn't up to par, this is what is considered. Oh and the fact that the system is shitty so you don't blame anyone but it's nowhere near racism as Africa hasn't been able to prove itself to the world. |
lawnreigh:Can you compare your education with that of Ukraine or the Kazakhstan you mentioned ? I didn't deny there's racism, of course there will always be. Even the Japs and Chinese don't like themselves much. So WTF? I gave several instances why Africans are rated low, still the same reason Africa was called a sh!thole! Of course you know you are better than any Eastern European that started 5 years ago but this is not the case with them, go and figure out why they think like this if you don't already know the answer. Even when the Chinese produce almost every electronic ware, people still call them fake and no one ever called Germany , British fake. But we all know the truth right ? That's how it works. |
It's a shame that a common tourist visa would require someone to thank the old and new Gods. Visa is just a means of seeing another country and not a privilege or luxury of any kind. You got a US Visa so what? He even encouraged people to pray just because they want US Visa. What a mindset! After the visa, you'd still be whoever you was prior to getting it. Someone people don't even need these visas you are praying for. We have the poorest of mindsets in this country. What a shame. Oh and before you come asking if I travel, I'm leaving a photo I took yesterday behind. We should stop these rubbish in 2019! Visa shouldn't be something of life and death!

forgiveness:Haha. You know your Lagos city doesn't sell for people like me who knows Nigeria. If you like think I'm alien, na you Sabi. |
forgiveness:Now you shift from Lagos city to Lagos metro ? I asked you who resides in this Lagos city of your or is it just on paper ? The same wiki is where you have 290k people visiting one location and you are bragging about 40k Chinese workers ? Lol |
Emmanuelstm:Wiki? Lagos island is geography. Oh. So you now exclude Ikeja from Lagos and demarcated it to form Lagos city ? Whose address have you seen Lagos city just like you know NYC which is New York City? I wasn't comparing best places. I'm talking diversity. And if you live in Ghana you can attest to that. |
The fact that they want white people to teach their kids doesn't in anyway relate to being a racist! Little thing y'all start calling people racists. Let's talk! Would you prefer a Chinese to teach your kids Chinese or you'd prefer a Ghanaian? First of all, English is not your language, as an African! Your accent isn't a first when considering being an English teacher. Lastly, coming from Africa, your education is rubbish and no one wants to risk that. That's the fact! They consider all of these things. This is the same reason Africans write English test but Canadians and Australians don't! It's not racism, sorry! |
forgiveness:You are the one quoting meaningless articles that seems you don't understand. If we mention "Benin City" that's Benin in edo state and everyone knows this. There's no Lagos city that's different from Lagos as a whole. You are the foreigner here. |
forgiveness:Dude Lagos is a city state and there is not place called Lagos city! Did you even read the what's in that picture ? There's Accra and and Greater Accra is a region. Which streets, or hotels are in this your deluded "Lagos City"? Which books do you have Lagos city ? Now when computing the numbers below, factor in the indigenous population and demographic contents.
|
forgiveness:There's nowhere called Lagos City, stop the miseducation! |
forgiveness:Bring the facts! What's the number of tourists that used MMIA this year? How many foreigners are currently residing in Lagos compared to Accra and Nairobi? Why do you think UN, Oracle, Deloitte all have their regional headquarters in Nairobi? Google " Karen Neighborhood" in Nairobi, it's mostly foreigners who live there. You don't have the numbers so don't bother next time. Since you live on Banana Island, name people that are are permanently living here. How easy it is to find a foreigner in Ikorodu, Badagry? But maybe a little trip to Kasoa after Accra will tell you what diversity is. |
forgiveness:Yes. They are very few! And they are usually business people unlike the above mentioned cities. Maybe you need to go to Accra or Nairobi. And what's Lagos city and states again ? |
forgiveness:Oga go and sleep. What diversity do you have in Lagos ? How many tourists come to Lagos in a year? I'm not talking business travelers! FYI, Accra, Nairobi is more diversed. There's nothing diversity about Lagos. Where do you see foreigners of different color blend and live as locals like they do in Accra and Nairobi? You should travel more. I don't know about " beauty at night" but none of those Sub Saharan countries cut it! Please if you intend to quote me, bring facts and data or experience. Or don't bother. |
Hahaha. Blind leading the blind. ![]() |
Ayemileto:Guys sorry, I found someone. |
Your contact ? |
Like the title says. I will describe what I want when in contact. You send an email. Not looking for amateurs please. Someone experienced. |
EricBloodAxe:If we "cut" him some slack it means we aren't going to talk about his errors and someone might just be the next victim, feel me ? |
Grupo:Okay. Thanks for this. |
Mizwisdom:No intelligent person will judge over 5 million with a couple of others. You aren't smart. Usual beauty without brains I guess. I've passed. |
Mizwisdom:Wisdom can't be bought. So much for your moniker. |
united442:I've had encounter with a lot of teeming Nigerians. When it comes to learning, forget it. Very simple things but we handle them like it's rocket science. |
JohnnyNY:Thank you. His response is one of the reasons I opened this thread. People don't learn! |
lagostaxiguy:Sir I have used several banks and what I'm aware of is that you click on send money and you click on "new beneficiary/recipient". Then you add your bank details and you send. You have the option to add as beneficiary to your list after sending and this require you to answer some security questions. |
adewumiopeyemi:Must we make our lives simpler? More like it ![]() |
https://www.nairaland.com/4851579/mistakenly-sent-n1m-uber-driver This post is not to bash the OP but to learn and we have to look at the mistakes that were made and my heart goes how to you with all then stress and aches you are probably having. I hope someone will read this and not fall a victim too. Tech as we know it is supposed to make life easier for us but this can only happen if we learn how to use these seeming little but powerful apps. It doesn't take more than 10 minutes to be adept in these things, but somehow we have failed to learn and read, I mean look at people around you! Some useful tips here: Everything is supposed to happen within the app unless there is some friction and that is when you call or message. If you order a ride, you can see if the driver is moving your way or close to you, but people pick up the phone and start calling to ask "where are you" because they don't know or don't even want to see how the app works. When your ride has started, you can see from your phone where you are heading, and the car moves on the map, but let's hope you are interested since you are more likely to do snapchat. Let me take on an instance, I see often, too many times, a lot of Uber drivers call you and ask you where you are going before they arrive, please stop it right there! There is a reason the driver is not allowed to see your destination unless he starts the trip and it is called SECURITY! So no one will arrange anyone to mess you up on your way, but we have overlooked this many people don't even know it. Back to "acts of bunmiano", the OP: I am not holding the brief for the cunning and dishonorable driver, but everything started from the OP's act of carelessness!. Reading is one of our most significant issues and who don't read, can't learn! If you order a ride., you see the estimated cost of your trip before you confirm. There is no way a ride of #3400 will shoot up #4300 unless you have some dangerous traffic for more than an hour! When your ride ends, you will get the total amount and the receipt, asking the driver "how much" shows you are a careless person! There are two options for payment on the app: Cash and card( which you add and reduces the hassle). However, why would anyone not do this and go the way making a bank transfer? Isn't that hard work on its own? We make simple things look so damn hard! If you'd added a card to uber, no one would inflate any price for you! Learn people learn! Then the almighty blunder, adding a beneficiary to your list means you know the person and not just a one time transfer! You only add someone if you are dealing with them more than once or twice in a short time. Who adds a stranger to their beneficiaries? Still, we don't know how these things work! I hope we can all learn and learn how to read. Life is just so simple, but we tend to make it hard. |
sholatech:Some of these people don't know jack about this country. I bet he's never been to ikoyi or even know that AP is now Forte Oil. So pathetic. A nation that cannot give 12 hours of electricity in 2018 has no business is running even a pure water company. They will fill it with incompetent cronies like NNPC is doing now. |
fkj950ax:I was actually looking for one person that has sense untill I saw this. A lot stupid people just want to say something for no reason. The funny thing is Lion Air has a very bad record and one. Lots of issues from the past year and Iearned that pilot pay them to fly because they want to add to their years of experience. Instead of them paying first class pilots. It's funny how everyone missed " the average age of plane is 25 years ". Comparing Ethiopian that does long route to arik that flies only West Africa. They are mad. |
Officialpdpnig:haha. I am.currently in Ghana and there's no one person that's solely doing the mobile money agent thing that's feeding with it. Most of them add electric bill top up and water bill. You don't know anything go and sleep. And people do this because Ghana is safe. How many people will hold 200k in a wooden cubicle and not fret with it in Lagos ? The ship of mobile money has sailed. Unless for rural people. Now borrow sense! You that's earning 30k to spread propaganda what have you solved ? Lazy pig |
Officialpdpnig:You are stupid. Mobile banking g has almost no job to create. It would have been nice if it was when people had phone booth. Tell me how they intend to create job? You skull is empty. Withdrawal of money you will be charged just like banks and the risk of running that as agent is very high because of robbers. Your type should be banished. |
