A passenger from Sierra Leone died at London Gatwick airport, intensifying fears West Africa’s Ebola outbreak may reach Britain. The 72-year-old woman, who was reportedly showing symptoms of vomiting and heavy sweating, collapsed on leaving a Gambia Bird jet, and later died in hospital. The plane, with 128 passengers on board, was quarantined as officials traced those who had been in contact with the woman, although tests showed she did not have the virus, which has killed 256 people in Sierra Leone and a total of 826 across West Africa since February’s outbreak. “We can confirm that a passenger on board a Gambia Bird flight on Saturday August 2 became unwell after disembarking the aircraft, was treated by experienced medical airport staff at the scene, but sadly later died at East Surrey Hospital,” a Gatwick Airport spokesperson said. “Given the origin of the flight, the hospital carried out tests for Ebola and other infectious diseases as a precaution. The tests came back negative. As a precaution, the aircraft was isolated, as were relevant airline and airport staff. At every stage, we took advice from Public Health England, which cleared the aircraft for its return journey.” Public Health England’s assurances, however, have not contained the public’s concern about the virus and the possibility of an outbreak in the UK. “We’ve all seen how many people have died from Ebola, especially in Sierra Leone, and it’s terrifying,” an airport worker who witnessed the incident told the Daily Mirror newspaper. “The woman was sweating buckets and vomiting. “Paramedics arrived to try to help her. The next thing everybody was there… emergency crews, airfield operations, even immigration. They closed down the jet bridge and put the aircraft into quarantine. They took everyone’s details, even the guy who fuels the aircraft.” |

rastamouse: You seem to be so ignorant about the whole subject. Can you please do some more reading on the subject? For instance read about the six-day war and lets continue from thereAnd you read about Nasser's Pan Arab ambitions. |
Missy89: Ah now that is what i have been waiting forHAHAHA......He should have stated this shlt earlier. ![]() |
rastamouse: Thanks for your admission that you don't know the genesis of the whole problem. Please take the time and research about the Ottoman empire and what they did to the Israelites. They virtually carried all the people from the land and scattered them all over of the face of the earth. Later on, when the British empire conquered the Ottoman empire, they promised to return the Jews to the land but instead gave the lannd to the Palestines. Israel took the diplomatic rout and got recognized as a state. Since then, these Arabs have tried to destroy them but GOD is with them.In the decade prior to courting Nasser’s Pan Arab ambitions, Zionist aspirations for statehood were nurtured by US and British interests to provide a necessary safeguard against the foreseeable rise of Pan Arabism in the region; Pan Arabism’s mix of Marxist and Muslim ideology were framed as anathema by US and British oil and banking interests. In recognition of this trend toward Arab unity, King Abdullah 1 of Jordan was wooed by western powers for his support of the 1937 establishement of a “Jewish” state in Palestine. In exchange for his support, Jordan was to receive a sizeable portion of the land that comprised Palestine at that time (AKA West Bank). When the Arab league attempted to block the establishment of Israel in 1948, Abdullah used his newly acquired position as “supreme commander” to safeguard the area that had been set aside for the new Jewish state while taking possession of East Jerusalem and the Palestinian occupied West Bank. This military strategy put Jordan into a position wherein it was able to effectively undermine Palestinian Arab national identity at a time when a fragile Zionist state was becoming firmly rooted in their homeland. Thus the decade old plan of establishing a Jewish state had come to fruition as a direct result of Abdullah’s close ties to British and American interests. King Abdullah’s assassination in 1951 was ultimately laid at the feet of those who were depicted by British Ambassador Alec Kirkbride as being most hostile to British interests in the region at the time, the Grand Mufti and Egypt’s Muslem Brotherhood. Alec Kirkbride would eventually end his career as director of the British Bank of the Middle East. |
dozzybaba: I have no connection whatsover with the Jews but i must say the palestines were the aggressors they killed Jewish teenagers and mutilated them....that's pure aggression. Hamas drew first blood and should have weighed their options before making that steewppid decision to kill those innocent teenagers.Senseless! By your logic, if 3 Israelis were killed in Nigeria, Israel would come to war with Nigeria? Nobody does that shit bro! Not America or North Korea. |
anago90: hmmn so going by your submission this is almost like a war of proxy sort of??Yes, One IDF soldier was quoted saying the conflict is political, America just voted funds for the Israeli Iron Dome and other military equipment. |
rastamouse: My dear you are very wrong. Each and every nation has the right to exist and that is exactly what the Jews are doing. They were displaced and came together after the Second World War. The world accepted them and they became a nation in 1948. Who the heck is Hamas to dispute that? Can you tell us what happened that got all Israelis displaced and everyone of them had to migrate from their "land" in the middle east to far Europe? Na which plane carry them? |
“In 2008, Israel launched “Operation Cast Lead” against Gaza. In September 2012 the Palestinian Authority announced that, despite the opposition of Hamas, she resumed negotiations on gas with Israel. Two months after the admission of Palestine to the UN as a “non-member observer state” strengthens the position of the Palestinian Authority in the negotiations. However Gaza Marine stuck, preventing Palestinians from exploiting the natural wealth they have. At this point the Palestinian Authority take a different path. January 23, 2O14, at the meeting of Palestinian President Abbas with Russian President Putin has discussed the possibility of entrusting the operation of Russia’s Gazprom gas field in the waters of Gaza. It’s Itar-Tass news agency that the announcement, noting that Russia and Palestine agree to strengthen cooperation in the energy sector. In this context, in addition to the operation of the gas field, it is expected that an oil field in the vicinity of the Palestinian city of Ramallah in the West Bank. In the same area, the Russian Technopromexport is ready to participate in the construction of a thermoelectric site of a power of 200 MW. The formation of the new Palestinian government of national unity, June 2, 2014, strengthens the possibility that the agreement between Palestine and Russia reach safely. Ten days later, on June 12, occurs the kidnapping of three young Israelis who are found killed June 30: punctual casus belli that initiates the operation against Gaza “protective barrier”. Operation between the strategy of Tel Aviv, to also capture energy reserves of the entire Levant, Palestinian, Lebanese and Syrian reserves included Basin, and in that of Washington in supporting Israel seeks control throughout the Middle East, preventing Russia to reacquire influence in the region.” |

Descartes: @Omenka, Hamas is one of 28 groups officially declared a "foreign terrorist organization" by the State Department. Its goal is to destroy Israel and to put in place an Islamic Palestinian state. Its methods include assassination, raids, bombing, and suicide bombing. There are over a million individuals and public figures designated "terrorist" by the US! Including US citizens, all these people, the gangs called Feds and Homeland Security don't need any evidence to include anyone on the list called TIDB (Terrorism ...Data Base). The government has been widely criticized for making it impossible for people to know why they have been placed on a watchlist, and for making it nearly impossible to get off. Not even death provides a guarantee of getting off the list. The guidelines say the names of dead people will stay on the list if there is reason to believe the deceased’s identity may be used by a suspected terrorist–which the National Counterterrorism Center calls a “demonstrated terrorist tactic.” In fact, for the same reason, the rules permit the deceased spouses of suspected terrorists to be placed onto the list after they have died. |

Wild Wild West! Always leaving a world wide mess. Where are those who applauded US/NATO actions that ousted Gaddhafi? Libya is now a failed state! More looting for the Zio-Nazist Neocons. The West will never be your friend! Not today, not tomorrow, neither forever! |
The Islamist militant group Ansar al-Sharia has declared Benghazi an ‘Islamic Emirate’ after claiming to have taken total control of Libya's second largest city, seizing military barracks with rockets and ammunition. The official spokesperson of the extremist group told local Radio Tawhid that "Benghazi has now become an Islamic emirate." The announcement has been denounced by pro-government militia forces. "The national Libyan army is in control of Benghazi and only withdrew from certain positions for tactical reasons. The claim that Benghazi is under the control of militias is a lie," Khalifa Haftar, a former army general, who launched a self-declared offensive against militants in May, told Al Arabiya channel. Ansar al-Sharia formed during the Libyan Revolution of 2011 that ousted Libyan leader Muammar Gadaffi. The group is blamed for the attack on the US consulate in 2012 killing the US ambassador and 3 more Americans. The group advocates the implementation of strict Sharia law. In some of the worst fighting since the revolution, around 200 people have been killed as violent clashes between rival militias erupted two weeks ago in the capital Tripoli and the city of Benghazi. On Wednesday, the Islamic militants announced they overran an army base in Benghazi seizing dozens of weapons and boxes of ammunition. Libya's Red Crescent said it had recovered the bodies of 35 soldiers from the base adding that there are presumably more. At least 75 people, mostly soldiers, were killed in the two days of fighting in the eastern city, according to Reuters. Meanwhile in Tripoli, one hundred people have died in the battle for the airport, with 400 others believed to be wounded, the country's health ministry announced on Saturday. Over the past two weeks, rival militias have been fighting for the control of the airport in the southern part of the city. Zintan and Misrata militias have exchanged artillery fire and pounded the territory with Grad rockets. Militia groups hit an oil storage tank with a rocket on Sunday night, causing a huge blaze which had been raging for over a day. Local firefighters couldn’t tackle the blaze as the interim government in Libya has called for international help. As the chaos keeps spreading, UN Support Mission in Libya as well as the International Committee of the Red Cross have withdrawn their staff last week. Foreign embassies have joined the missions evacuating its staff from the country. The UK has evacuated all “non-core” members of its diplomatic mission on Saturday after the mission’s cars were shelled at a militia checkpoint. The US embassy evacuated 150 of its personnel to bordering Tunisia. Spain said on Thursday it was pulling its ambassador and embassy staff out of Libya temporarily, while one person was left to oversee the archives. Greece joined the same day saying it was sending vessels to Libya to evacuate embassy workers and a few hundred Chinese and European nationals. Three years after the US and its NATO allies used air power to help the militants achieve victory over former leader Muammar Gaddafi, the country has descended into a failed state without cohesive government and rival militias fighting for power. http://rt.com/news/177128-libya-islamis-militants-emirate/ |

Anonymous 'knocks out' Mossad website over Israel’s Gaza offensive Published time: July 31, 2014 06:18 Edited time: July 31, 2014 06:57 Hacker group Anonymous has reportedly taken down the website of the Israeli secret service Mossad in protest of Israel’s military incursion in Gaza. The ‘hacktivists’ have already targeted a number of organizations in their mission to stop the “genocide.” Mossad’s website went offline at around 00:40 GMT and is still down at the time of writing. The Israeli government has yet to make any comment on the supposed hack attack. In a previous attack on Monday, Anonymous knocked out multiple Israeli government sites after one of the organization’s members died in the West Bank over the weekend. 22-year-old Tayeb Abu Shehada was killed during a protest in the village of Huwwara in the West Bank after Israeli settlers and soldiers opened fire on demonstrators, reported Bethlehem-based Ma'an News Agency. Anonymous launched a hacking campaign against Israel coinciding with the beginning of Operation Protective Edge on July 7. Anonymous claims that since its operation began, it has taken down “thousands” of Israeli-based websites. The hacktivist group also released 170 log-in details last Monday which they said belonged to Israeli officials. Anonymous has also issued an appeal to all of its followers to intensify their attacks on Israeli websites. “We are calling upon the Anonymous collective, and the elite hacker groups to join our crusade, and to wage cyber war against the state of Israel once more,” said a public statement from the group posted online last Friday. "As a collective 'Anonymous' does not hate Israel, it hates that Israel's government is committing genocide & slaughtering unarmed people in Gaza to obtain more land at the border." The group launched hundreds of attacks on Israeli sites two years ago during the Israeli Defense Force’s (IDF) previous operation ‘Pillar of Defense’ in Gaza. Anonymous succeeded in leaking the data of 5,000 Israeli officials and hacking into the Israeli deputy premier’s Twitter and Facebook accounts. The conflict in Gaza shows no signs of relenting with both the IDF and Hamas continuing to exchange rocket fire. The Palestinian Health Ministry reports than over 1.350 people have been killed in Gaza, while the Israeli side has lost 56 soldiers to the fighting. |
Dygeasy: So you mean to tell me egusi, meat, white bread, ofada rice are all junk foods?Do you read at all? |
Pavore9: location is also a key factor. l live in nairobi where wheat and white bread go for the same price. l buy a 400g of wheatbread for N80 it is same price with the white bread. Back in Lagos as @ 2012, l used to buy wheatbread of d same weight @ N150!Coke and bottle water, which is cheaper in Nairobi? |
Good to know they want to kill us. |
It's not like much energy or money were spent on producing this healthy food. Junk food tend to have more A bottle of Eva water is sold for 100#. 50CL coke is sold for 70#, but why? (note, water is natural, not much production is needed except purification) At a regular "bukka", vegetable soup is expensive than egusi but egusi is more expensive in the market. Meat is cheaper than fish. Wheat bread is expensive than white bread. Ofada rice is also expensive than "normal" rice. (cooked). |
