To support your words here, I ll also pen down my experience having visited two LGA in Oyo State (Ibadan North and Oluyole) on the subject matter. The Marriage Registry of Ibadan North is situated inside the LGA council at a place called Agodi-Gate adjacent Immigration Office while that of Oluyole is beside Oluyole Shopping Complex at Orita-challege Ibadan.

NOTE: Oluyole council is situated in a village called Idi-Ayure along Ijebu ode when you follow Old Lagos Ibadan road but they strategically stationed their marriage registry at Orita-challege.

Now on what and what requires, the two local government request same thing. The only slight difference is on the Menu Menu required.

For Oluyole LGA, your are to pay

1) 1,200.00 cash (receipt issued) to the LGA.

2) 2000.00 to bank A in favour of Oyo State Government with a teller.

3) 6500.00 to bank B in favour of Oluyole LGA with a teller

4). 1000.00 to bank C in favour of Oyo State/Oluyole LGA joint account with a teller.

5) 3 passport each of Groom and Bride

NOTE: the banks are 3 different commercial banks and the payments should be made in the name of the groom.

The total amount when added is 10,700. If you don't wanna go to thes banks yourself, you are to add 1000 to the said amount making it 11,700. With this payment, you ll file a notice by filling the form given to you.

21 working days is calculated, they have a calendar that does that immediately.

So, before you go, they will give you 3 different dates which you can consumate your marriage. You are to choose one.

Moving on, 2 days to your chosen date, you are to pay another 5000 for the certificate.

Lastly, on the deal day, you come to the registry with your bride and do the needful.

2 pieces of salive
2 pieces of Hollandian Yogurt
Or your pay another 5000 for the above items.

When asked about the acceptance of certificate issued from Oluyole at Embassies, the woman responded that many couples from who used their registry are now abroad and that Embassy representatives do come to them for verification.
She added that so long the marriage certificate is carries Federal Government, no embassy turns it down.

God, help me to simplify my response.

OK, here we go.

- Ikoyi registry requires 21 days notice and payment.
- if your church is licenced, at the end of the 21 days, Ikoyi will give you a licence to take to your church. The licence looks like a marriage certificate but smaller. It is not yours, but it is what the church will see before they go ahead with your wedding.
- Your licenced church will give you a Federal government wedding certificate (white in colour and black prints, no green) same as what Ikoyi would give you.
- the only difference between Ikoyi's certificate and your church's is nothing. Only place of joining and person who joins will be different. Place=the licenced Church. Person=Pastor/Minister instead of Registrar.
- Your licenced Church is only joining you on behalf of the Ikoyi registry. That is why they need that small license from Ikoyi to know that you have done the right thing by filing a notice in Ikoyi. In Ikoyi, a file is opened for you.
- The certificates the church is holding on behalf of the registry has 3 copies for every wedding. One is for you, the 2nd one stays in the church (with that small licence attached) and the third one is returned to Ikoyi either by the church or by you.
- Ikoyi also has a copy of the small licence they initially give you to give to the church, so, when the wedding is eventually contracted, the 3rd copy of your wedding which would be returned to them is attached to it.
- Please note that your church may decide to give you their own Church wedding certificate in addition. But it is only a church/religious certificate. But the one they give you on behalf of the government is the one legally binding you.

Please note that if you fully contract your wedding at Ikoyi, you have fully legally married. You do not need to go to church again. But if you want to go to church, the church will not give you government's certificate the 2nd time. They may re-present your Ikoyi certificate and pretend to issue you certificate. Or they may give you their own certificate, which looks like baptismal certificate or school certificate. They may either call your wedding Blessing of Holy Matrimony or the real matrimony ceremony, but the deed had been done at Ikoyi.
- Please you must be sure your church is licensed. So many are ignorant and are not licensed. Once the church secretary or administrator or pastor cannot tell you what I have told you above, do not marry there. Go to court and marry fully.

The first time was almost a disaster. I planted during the dry season and was watering manually. It was very hectic, I almost run at loss. But was lucky cos Okra was expensive and scarce then.
Through that experience I was able to learn from my mistakes. I also studied online to learn more about Okra farming. And by the grace of God, I was able to get it this time around.
Though the price of Okra will be cheap this period. I hope to buy irrigation equipment, so I can plant during dry season. Believe me, you can make huge amount from Okra during the dry season

This is my second time planting Okra though.
