The Bible was not WRITTEN by God, it was written by men and they wrote it in nineteen gbogboro where some practices are no longer applicable in the 21st century. OP, why do you pick and chose what to follow in the Bible. At the end of the day God will not want his children to suffer, the most important thing is to serve God and love your neighbors as you love yourself. Just because you don’t marry again because your ex is still alive it’s no guarantee you will make heaven.

Some people kill their spouse just to follow this your view that if your ex is alive you can’t marry.

If there is a legal divorce any of the spouses can marry again The Bible does not support divorce but on only one condition, which is, when any of them was caught in adultery and the other marriage partner cannot forgive the other in this regard divorce is allowed and they can get married again to another person of their choice as the previous husband must have issued a divorce certificate. if there is no issuance of divorce certificate they cannot marry again

Bro , God hates sin but accepts repentant sinners (2chr 33:1,6,10-13). Likewise God hated the divorce that ancient Israelites obtained on flimsy excuses. "Jesus replied ,'Moses permitted you to divorce your wife because your hearts were hard.'." Mal 2:14, Matt 19:3,7,8.

Jesus said "MARITAL UNFAITHFULNESS" (adultress/adulterer) of either spouse is a valid reason for divorce, that is dissolution of the marriage covenant. Matt 19:9.
If that marriage union is not properly dissolved, U commit adultery when U marry him/her.
Apostle Paul said that death dissolves a marriage covenant. Romans 7:2,3 .

Going by Jesus explicit statement in Matt19:9 & Paul's epistle in Rom7:2,3, "By Law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive".
In other words , a woman divorced for "marital unfaithfulness" is not bound to any husband whether dead or alive.
That is, a woman/man commits adultery when she/he marries someone whose marriage union (that is, their previous marriage ) was not properly dissolved, (either traditionally by the refund of bride price or a Court of Law). The violation of a covenant by either party to the agreement renders it null & void.
The proper dissolution of any marriage sets both partners free.

A married couple lived together for a decade with out any issues. The man was a serial cheat & philanderer. He infected her with STD.& coupled with taunts from in laws over her childless state. She was heartbroken.
She meticulously gathered all the evidence she needed & eventually sued for divorce. The Court of Law annulled the marriage.

Today this woman has remarried & she is a proud mother of two kids in a happy & stable marriage..

God allows divorce & it's NO SIN to remarry when your former spouse is alive.

God has called you to peace not man made bondage or stigma.

Despite my warning, these senseless PDP are about to elect Tambuwal, what the effing is wrong with you people? Are you okay? Can't you understand Tambuwal cannot even win his ward in Sokoto let alone SE, SS,SW and NC? Who knows him outside of Sokoto for God sake? Secondus and Wike should be arrested for fraud.
