The board need to change the coach before signing players. The coach has altered Barça's game plan and philosophy. Signings can come after a change of manager but it seems the Barça board are okay with the coach. A replacement for Suarez, a fit winger and a RB is the only areas Barça need reinforcement. I don't want to believe the team need a total overhaul like Madrid. It is only normal for Madrid to start buying now cos last season was a total disaster for them and players like modric, Marcelo, bale, and Ronaldo who are very important are old, not consistent and gone. Barca just need a better coach that can bring the best out of those players. Barce play better when they are in control of the ball and not defending and playing counter. About Maradona joining Napoli, believe me Napoli was the only big club bold enough to take in a narco and controversial player like maradona in. As talented as he was, the drug aspect was a big blow to his game. Only few wants to associate with a drug addict, even after his retirement from playing football, he still always run into trouble and get banned almost every year for bad conduct. That should tell you the kind of footballer he was in his days. Overall he was a fantastic player but I think he could've conquered Europe more if not for the bad character, his stay at Barcelona was very short,he spent just 2 seasons at Barça. As good as he was, he never win champions league, what I believe he could have won with Barcelona had it been he stayed longer. Tho he won UEFA Cup (Europa League) With Napoli in which he was fantastic in the tournament. But I personally think he could've achieved more if he played for top clubs like Ronaldo,Beckham, Zidane, Zlatan did.

Yes they did achieve more. Mainly cos they play for stronger teams for most of their career. I'm a Barça fan. But fact is no player has had a big influence on a very small team the way Maradona did. Doing this in an Era where AC milan, Fiorentina, Juve were heavyweight in Italy and the world isn't a joke. but Madrid wasn't at the top of the game when CR7 joined. They were rebuilding at the time when barca were at their best. Took them a few years to get it right and the ucl wins as reward for years of hardwork. That was a challenge coupled with the pressure of playing for Madrid. Some came but didn't excel as he did. I was about asking same question. In a place like Dubai or US where u meet so many top class celebrities people no dey even recognize dem not to talk of waiting to snap pics.
