Dear Jzhane, Today was supposed to be the day I propose to my girlfriend of 19 months. I love Ada so much but she is very annoying sometimes. I do not know if it is the age difference (she is 29, I am 36). Being in a relationship with her has had its up and downs. Ada is fun and kind but she sometimes gets a loose mouth. What do I mean: she tends to say things that can be hurtful without realizing it. She makes bad jokes and I have cautioned her several times. Ada blames her mouth to the way she was raised. She grew up in Warri amidst serious and tough life conditions. I can understand that the way she talks sometimes mean no harm but I find them not good especially for a woman. Ada has called me a goat before. I hear her call people things like :Idiot or even laugh and say someone is crazy. Another thing is she likes to argue. Sometimes blindly. Dear Jzhane, Please hide my name when you post this. I am a divorcee. I did not plan to be one but here I am,at 34,I left my marriage because I was constantly being threatened by my ex husband and his mother. When I met him,he was sweet,I had just relocated from the UK. We met at a business meeting. We clicked,dated for two years and got married. What I did not realize though was that his mother was against me because of where I come from. Even though we are Easterners but different states and to her,I was not good enough. Hello LivelyStones, I started reading your blog and some other Nigerian blogs shortly before I became incarcerated. I have a Nigerian baby mama whom I have been with for over seven years. We have a daughter and I love them both so much. I made a huge mistake,that is why I am going to prison for three years. Just before I went to jail,I asked my baby mama to marry me. I love her and I think it was the right thing to do cos I did not want to go to jail without making her my wife. But shockingly,she declined my proposal. She said she did not want to be tied down by marriage because she felt I should have proposed to her early on before the prison sentence. Good day ma’am, I am 27 years old . I am currently serving in one of the eastern states of Nigeria. I met a fine young man here and I fell in love with him. Hi Admin, Dr. Alake (not real name) has been our family doctor for more than nine years. He is the one that usually administers various tests for any domestic staff coming to work for us. and usually,the tests are very comprehensive. They range from HIV,to Tuberculosis to Hepatitis,etc. This time around,he called me and informed me that the young lady that I was just about to employ as a caregiver was Hepatitis B positive! Dear Jzhane, I am seriously furious and I need someone to talk to me and tell me what to do. My elder sister has been married for four years but she and her husband has been having issues from day one. Most of their issues is based on the fact that the husband is a serial cheater. Dear Jzhane, I need your advice. So,I am engaged to be married this year. Frank (not real name) and I have been dating for over six years. He is my soul mate and best friend. Our relationship has not always been easy though. There was a time,like two years ago that we broke up for almost eight months. The thing is,at the time,I was in a different space.
