Thanks Rett0 and Zannyzara. Just imagined I've wasted 68,000 Naira for wrong assumption.
It is one of the reasons I always encourage people to read thoroughly and digest information before starting at all.

Well, the 68k will help pay salary of at least one staff. Thank you for the business... cheesy

Your 20points is solid standing if you don't wait till another 12 months.

Thanks to you Senior Bellong, I actually got admitted as a DE student into 200 level in 2012 with my HND result in mechanical engineering which I bagged in 2011.
So you have Engineering degree and you are giving yourself sleepless nights..

You've got nothing to worry about as per positive assessment. EA is not VETASSES.

Please I need advice if this will pull through. Am HND holder working with a retail supermarket as a manager but has worked in the bank before cos I actually studied Banking and finance and planning to apply as a Supply and Distribution Manager from Occupation List cos it fits my job right now.Please advice on what to do from scratch to finish. Note have gotten my transcript. Thanks.
The issue with your case is the occupation requires that you have a bachelor degree to get a positive assessment.
Since it is AIM that is in charge of the assessment, go to their website and read if they substitute 5years experience in lieu of qualification.

1) I read Vetasess do assess our 4 years degree course from some Nigerian universities as Associate degree, if yes can vetasess use or asses my Msc. and upgrade me to the Bachelor's degree?
To avoid story that touch, you MUST add your MSc degree.

2) I major more in petroleum geology, do you think that will fly with Vetasess when it comes to job description or role.. The nominated occupation says "Geologist"..Geology is a wide course
Petroleum geology is a branch of geology, it is no problem at all. As long as you can proof you put to use the principles of geology in your job descriptions, you are good to go.

2) I learnt Tasmanian do ask for a job offer or presence of family member before they can sponsor people, I don't have both, please what can I do?
This is where it gets tricky, before you go ahead with the assessment, be sure you will be able to meet State's conditions for nomination. Geologist used to be sponsored by most of the States but the crash in the mining industry and oil/gas turned the occupation undesirable by many states.

My advice, if you think you can net 75 points which probably is unlikely, go for the SA nomination. However, if you find someone in Tasmania who will be willing to make you a family member, go for it.

As it is, Geology is as good as not on the list. You have to go a different route.

3) I am yet to write the English test and I understand thie sol/csol list will expire in July with another one coming out, please should I wait to re-strategize?
Read previous response.
4) cc Bellong I read from one of your post, are you a geologist too or is there any geologist in the house with PR success story that can give me advice best thing to do..
Yes I am. I was lucky to move at the tail end of Geologist being removed from the list. If I had waited for three more months, I probably wouldn't start this thread.

If you have the money, you can come on study visa for a course on the list.

Alternatively, check www.seek.com.au if you can get a job offshore. The employer will sponsor you if you get one. Although it is difficult but it is not impossible. Some have been lucky to get a job offshore especially if you have an outstanding skills in those oil/gas software packages.

Surprised at u all n ur utterances.
Anyways no worries
I have not been here for two days so I didn't get to read your original posts. I know you wrote something not worthy of someone in the academics.

One piece of advice I will give you is to learn humility. Pride goes before fall. No matter how great, big or influential you think you are, if you are full of pride, your downfall is a disaster waiting to happen.

God RESISTS the proud. And if you are an atheist, society don't view the proud nicely. Arrogance will get you nowhere.

It is a disappointment that you said you are research student and couldn't even do the basic of research which is reading. When you write a scholastic article for publication, please copy me.

You are not the first to apply onshore, several people have done it before you. Like you, they came but they read and asked specific questions, they got what they wanted and disappeared to where they came from.

Your excuse that you don't have time to be on here is nauseating to say the least. You want something but you don't want to commit time and resources to get it.

You are the one in need of help, not anyone here and you should be humble enough to take to correction. I did not even whip you with words in my first response to you. The site being anonymous does not give you right or priviledge to disrespect anybody. It only shows who you are.

If everybody is schooled privately like you wanted, there wouldn't be information on this thread for others who are not so priviledged to have a private coach.

To save you time and stress, below is the link to all accredited migration agents. They are the only people permitted by law to give private migration advice. Section 258 of the migration act imposes a 10yr jail time for any unregistered person giving migration advice.

If you are what you want us to believe you are, put your money where your mouth is and employ the service of a migration agent.

https://www.mara.gov.au

Nevertheless, if you humble yourself and repent from your folly, I am convinced everyone here will be of help to you.

The choice is yours... Goodluck

Thanks a lot incemay. The issue is that i don't have international passports bearing each of these names except for that in the name i now bear after marriage. Alagbon contact is saying we have to provide int. passport in those names (i pray and hope our current passports can cover for this) and that they will issue us PCC for each name.
Do we have to notarize the court affidavit?
If you don't have international passport in your maiden name, do the PCC for your current name. Send an email explaining your circumstances that you can only get PCC with a passport. The request is ridiculous though.

No need to notarize a court documents. That is a notarization in itself.

oya am in aussie already doing a research and i have an engineering degree. can u guide me? i will send u a mail
Why should anybody PM you. As a research student, you have resources at your disposal on the thread, yet you are asking someone to pm you.

Being in the country already is no advantage for anybody to give you a customised guidance.

You were part of the group advised to be patient and come on PR instead of student visa but you were too much in a hurry because you had plenty money to spend...

If you are ready, you will read and follow through with info on the thread.

Dear Bellong, unfortunately I have no choice now than to come and renew when I get to SA, their is current scarcity of booklet in Nigeria now and I would not want to be stranded due to delayed renewal.

Please what is the process of renewing in Australia?
Thanks.
Why not check States like Kwara or Osun where demands are not as high as in Lagos?

For renewal in Australia, you will have to travel to Canberra to get it done. Sometimes Nigerian association in each state organises group renewal by bringing them over to your stats for.a fee.

This is the embassy website....

@dunsinogundele,

Bolaobby has provided answers to your question.

The only addition is when you renew your passport, contactl DIBP immediately so the visa can be transferred to the new passport.

Renewing passport here is stressful.

@kingbukaz,

You will assess both. You need to read the thread carefully because you are assessing with VETASSES and the body requires one to be meticulous.

presently, yes as HR person but my job title is administrative officer. As a manager that I mention, was a station manager for an oil and gas company.
If you have at least one year experience in the HR position, you can nominate human resources adviser Occupation. It is sponsored by Northern territory.

Read through the thread for the steps to follow.

@Brisbanequeen,

If your degree is a 5 year course, it will be assessed as equivalent to Australia bachelor degree but if it is a four year course, it will be associate degree. At least that is what people with a four year degree from UNIBEN got from VETASSES.

@Praiseisgood,

Yes the ICAN will be a good advantage to getting bachelor equivalent assessment.

Good day @OGA BELLONG , ABEG I wish to ask if there is any other State/province/region apart from New South Wales who does 'nt ask for proof of Fund (POF)
Just seeing this..

Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia do not request for proof of fund.

If you can get 60 points, I don't think you should be bothered about state nomination except your occupation is only on CSOL list.

Thanks Bellong for the encouragement.
You delayed in reporting the good news...

If Victoria is your intending state, submit an EOI for 190 and apply for nomination from Victoria. The state sponsors the occupation.

Once you are able to achieve the expected English score, edit your EOI for 189.

@Mamajaz,

Amen..... And to you too.

@Bolaobby,

If you are still interested in studying, apply for Masters by research so you don't pay tuition.

Good you listened to good counsel from people when you first came. I have advised numerous others who refused to listen and now lamenting when they arrived.

Thanks bellong, does it matter if the licence is the temporary one? Permanent licence will be ready in two months.
Danger of using temporary is once it expires before you are able to completely transfer your license, you will go on learner's permit. I am sure it is not an outcome you would love.

If the permanent can be ready before it is three months after arrival, stall the transfer process and get someone send you the license so you can use it for the conversion.

Congrats jamson.

Dear e family, frsc made a mistake in the date of birth in my driving licence. Is intl driving licence recognised in oz? They advised i should apply for that as it takes only 2 weeks for it to be ready. For the driving licence, i have to apply for reissue which will take at least 2 months.
Kindly advice on the way forward.
You can't use international license to transfer to a local license. It must be from your country.

That being said, just do an affidavit in court that FRSC made a mistake on your license. I also have issues with the date of birth on my Nigeria license, I used a court affidavit to support my claim.

Once you have document to back things up, this country is easy.
