My take on it is that this is absolutely against the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We are yet to get to state policing. However, an investigation needs to be carried out by the IGP and persons found should be culpable and face the full wrath of law. This is abnormal. Totally against international best practice of policing.

This is how leaders behave;

In Nigeria, leaders/bosses are decisive, authoritarian and respected. This implies high power distance and top down decisions.

In the U.S, leaders/bosses may invite dissent, up until they make their final decisions. This implies a low power distance, but also a Top down decisions.
