uniqueboi1: You see, I have no horse in the race between Wike and SIM because they're the same person. After 8yrs, WIKE did nothing to develop ONELGA that contributes a huge chunk to the oil money he's lavishing and stealing. He had to do a road from Ahoada which SIM is now completing after destabilising the region. SIM wasn't even supposed to get the ticket in the first place but he wanted a partner I'm crime to cover his tracks and now he's crying fowl. He should go and rest. |

Jayhome24: So what will happen? For Wike's cronies to gang up and suffocate him? Well elections will take place on Oct 6th and none of the allies of the man you're sucking his balls is gonna near it. Wike turned a Hitler for 8yrs and everyone ketp shut. He's time has passed, he should leave Rivers State alone. Everyone that came before him left but he wants to hold the State to ransom after stealing billions? He should go and touch grass. He's lucky SIM isn't his type of politician and don't worry SIM will complete his 8yrs, Ikwerre man will not smell that seat for the foreseeable future. 2 Likes |

9JAMac10: They average American is a coward!!! No street credibility at all, just guns and vibes. They don't love war, it's only their greedy politicians and friends that do. There's no winner in a nuclear war! As it stands today, the US won't even confront NK because of what? Yeah you guessed it right. |

OkoYibo: This is exactly how the Russia-Ukraine war started. Putin warned so many times but they called his bluff, Ukraine is a shadow of itself today because Zelenskiyy allowed himself to be a puppet. The biggest mistake Zelenskiyy made was to allow his country suffer while two elephants fought. They'll have to agree on a ceasefire but Putin WILL NEVER give back those regions he captured. In the end everyone will leak their wounds. Putin won't pay any repatriation either. After the war, Zelenskiyy will have to run to the democracy givers to rebuild his country. The war gas turned the world economy around, the Europeans especially Germany I believe won't have supported this war if they saw the end from the beginning. The US thought as usual, sanctions will do the trick but now the whole world is learning, others are growing in boldness too. We don't want the same thing to play out in with China. The US will not get directly involved in a war with Taiwan, they can give all the military hardware available but won't get directly involved in combat. If they do, it'll trigger what we all don't want to happen. The day the Chinese will strike they'll all cry fowl. 2 Likes |

drips8: The defence contractors own the US! They lobbying their rep members and pay the media handsomely too. Those rumours of war that topple oil prices won't spread themselves and the state-of-the-art military hardware won't gather dust for nothing. Not for a fact but I think the US military budget is gulped by: 1. Multiple military complexes they operate around the world (55%) 2. R& (30%) 3. Logistics (10%) 4. Health, salary and the rest (5%) 2 Likes |

phemmyjohnson: It's not always like you think, infact Russia has an equivalent of ANY weapon the US have for a fraction of the cost. The US defence budget is actually overbloated because of kickbacks to highranking officials and contractors like Lockheed and Co. Remember they also have bases around the world? A man that has 5 kids will never have the same budget as the man with 2. 1 Like |

MEEVEET: Atleast you've admitted that Ogba arguably the biggest producer of oil and Gas in Rivers State. I won't fault you for that since we're a minority in the State. Now let's talk about the first point you raised. Again, with facts, Provide any material you can that proves that the Ogba people are Igbos. Please don't say we bear similar names as that's not enough. Tell me about culture and tradition. I'm willing to go any length with you on this because I know more about the Kingdom because my dad used to a king before he passed last year. My dad married two wives, my step mom is Igbo from Imo State and my siblings bear full igbo names, you know how difficult it's going to be for him to express his views and not being criticised because he's not Igbo? I spent my Service year in a Federal Government establishment last year and you guessed right the Northerners there always assumed I was Igbo because of my name. My point is this, as much as naming customs can be a pointer, it's not enough to claim another ethnicity, there's a whole lot of difference in culture. Again let's have have civil discussion, no hauling insults, just facts. I want to make another disclaimer: I don't in any way hate the Igbos, I won't just bear another person's identity because I'm a minority. We have our own culture and traditions. This is because of the oil ownership shenanigans. Its similar to the Tsekiris I'm Delta State, they're a minority but won't let themselves to be eclipsed with other ethnic groups. I believe one of the many reasons why there's almost no God-fatherism in Rivers State politics is because of the mult-ethnicity, so many ethnic groups and interest are at stake so it would be difficult for one person to hold it all down. 1 Like |

mrvitalis: Have you eve heard of the Ogba Kingdom? You automatically assume your father's farmland is the biggest because you've not seen my fathers own. If you're ready to bring facts without insults I'll bring facts too to prove that Ogba Kingdom is the biggest producer of oil per day in Rivers State. I already brought up a disclaimer that you shouldn't haul insults at me, just bring facts and facts only. Meanwhile the Ogba people ARE NOT Igbos. 1 Like |

CrownedPhoenix: You would prefer our greedy Nigerian leaders so stash the cash oversees? We constantly borrowing money form China with almost nothing to show for it because a huge chunk of the borrowed sum is stolen. Why no exchange your natural resources for development that would benefit everyone instead of a greedy few? I will gladly be a slave to a white man for 10yrs if it means we're liberated from the shackles of the terrible crop of leaders we have in Nigeria right now. There are systems, services and amenities that an average Nigerian will never get to use not because we can't afford it but it's inexistent. You think if Telecommunications industry wasn't privatetised we would have 5G? We can't even have running water or gas supplied to our houses so we have to build personal boreholes and carry cylinders around because of backward thinking leaders who's only genius is awaken to create new ways to steal. I can go on and on but I'm angry and tired. Graduated since last year yet to job. Nigeria has to work. I never considered jakpa, if I'm wealthy enough I just wanna go there, allow snow to cool my bald head and come back. |

seunayantokun: Dude thought the US would go all guns blazing against Russia but it didn't happen. I still maintain that if he saw the end from the beginning he would've avoided this war. American tax payers are also not happy with Biden. War is not and can never be a good thing. |

Adonko: As much as money is important to any military, having the highest defence budget doesn't necessarily mean you're the best. For almost any military hardware to the US have, Russia have it for about atleast have the price. Let me explain better: The US military is likely the most corrupt industry in the country because of the process involved in bidding and winning contracts. They pay so much for kickbacks and all that. The DoD and CIA in turn "make" wars to sell this weapons. There's a reason why military contracts are not made public. In this regard, the US selling weapons (not oil) arguably makes them top dollar. Having defence budgets in billions and trillions doesn't mean they're all for R& for vibranium-esque materials for weaponry but as well as logistics across the world to give "democracy". On the other point you raised, the world right now is so multipolar that the US will NOT attempt to directly hit mainland Russia, China or even NK...yes you read it right North Korea and I believe you already know why. It's also the same reason why any of those countries mentioned would not DARE hit the US too, they all have a weapon of check and balance. There's too much at stake for anyone to attempt it. You know those offshore accounts and fishy deals in Switzerland? Yeah. Have you also wondered why no one bothers Switzerland? When's there's a common factor everyone sheats their sword. God's own country? The US have done and is doing a lot of wrong right now for God to be involved with them but I'm not God so I can't call the shots on that. I love the US, it's a great country filled with opportunities if you're willing to work but the past few years haven't been the best for them in terms of leadership and even down to security. 1 Like |

AllenSpencer: They think Putin would let the nord stream II incident go unpunished. It may not necessarily be blowing up the new trans-saharan pipeline but he'll surely retaliate. People need to go back to history to understand why Russians are so resolute and unforgiving. Again, if the West thinks Putin dying or leaving power would give them an upper hand then they'll be in for a shocker. I don't know who's going to be the next Russian leader after Putin but believe me he's going to be worse. The USSR had one thing at heart: Nationalism. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Putin & Xi Hug Each Other As He Departs Beijing For Moscow (Photos, Video) by ben1daEbiri(m): 7:58am On May 18 |
seunayantokun: Putin is a not a mad man as the West portray him to be. He has tried to resolve this amicably countless times but they called his bluff. The Ukrainian clown took his chance thinking Putin wouldn't attack now look at the result. The war is only going to end in one possible way and it will be Ukraine's loss. Regardless of how much they get to rebuild, innocent Ukrainian civilians lost their lives. At worse, Russia is going to be forced to pay some billions in reparation but Ukraine may never remain the same again. War is bad for everyone, I'm not exonerating Putin either but Zelenskiyy should've done EVERYTHING possible to make sure his land is not a puddle for two fighting elephants. 1 Like |

oluwaseyi0: I beg to disagree. You'll pass if you read using JAMB syllabus. My first JAMB was CBT and my strategy was give myself a target of atleast 50/100 for each subject and a total of 200/400. Meanwhile I expect 200/400 to be poor and guess what I scored 200 but couldn't secure admission with it, the following year I scored 232 and was admitted. |
Education / Re: Outcome Of 2024 Utme Results, Who Is To Be Blamed? Parents, Teacher Or Students? by ben1daEbiri(m): 3:41pm On Apr 30 |
edungene7: I can't but say this is a lame excuse. JAMB has been CBT for atleast 10yrs now. Before your exam day, a mock exam is conducted especially to familiarise students with CBT but MOST students don't make take the mock exam. There can be problems with server and all that but saying someone failed because of little or no knowledge of CBT in 2024 is unacceptable. |

I think Canal is offering on their projection to be able to make profit too. The thing is, I don't see DSTV turning around their fortune soon especially with the falling naira. They'll spend more of their revenue paying for football rights alone. They also have to pay for salary, operating cost, tax, egunje and the rest. It's not easy doing business in Nigeria, you'll pay through your nose. No wonder They now call people on the phone begging them to subscribe. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Demigod22: Here's my advice: If the role is for entry-level and you've had no prior experience then take it. Again staying idle at home can cause you depression. If you still have atleast 50% of your salary left after transportation then take it. |

baralatie:This your take is really laughable. Roads and tires are now perishable goods? So you mean transporters change roads and tires every single time they goto the market? These women literally fix prices for their products with reckless abandon so the transports in turn whose wives buy them in the market have to charge them but not at the ridiculous price the market women fix. This looks like the case of the chick and egg which came first but me going to the market several times has helped me crack it. This one is solely on the market women. My 33k allowee has finished since 29th and I gotten even buy some things I bought the previous month prices keep increasing meanwhile the price of fuel has become somewhat stable. |

CodeTemplar: That means it would've only gone higher. See this country is almost beyond redemption. Greed and selfishness is the other of the day. A Nigerian would rather buy a boat to cross to the other side than advocate for a bridge to be built so everybody can access it. Nobody cares just what for your turn to loot and go. I'm tired abeg. |
