Let's not be too quick to dismiss this claim because you never know the exact location where this particular dish was installed.

I still remember way back, like 10 to 13 years ago. Some guys here installed nilesat with 1.8 metre dish here. I bought 1.8 metre , I did not got it.. Someone in my location got it with 2.4. So I bought 2.4 metre, even when my dish was 30 feet above the ground I did not get it. So I went ahead and bought 3m dish, that's when the signal even pop up in my location. Also there are lnb that can still help in making that which seems difficult to one person a lot more easier. Make you people nor begin quote me wrong oh !! I am just sharing an experience. One love

The thing is that most peeps here just post based on EIRP/footprints but in real time, the data may not be the same especially for birds covering West Africa/Sub Sahara Africa.

Everything that has to rely on data is always questionable about Africa — On maybe the service provider of the Nigerian mux made it really difficult to hunt. Several people have already attested that hunting that bird has been really elusive.

From EIRP maps, with a 1.8m dish, you should easily hunt birds like Intelsat 68.5E and the Nigerian mux in 60E but it's not always the case, same for 7E too. So I have a rule of thumb,if data says 1.8m,I go for 2.4m instead.in some cases,it doesn't mean you can't hit the bird bit you just need some "surplus" to make your hunting easier especially if you're a rookie.

Please could someone help me with the required hints to succesfully track a satellite without sat tracker, i have tried everything to no avail i think i am missing some basics so am here for assistance. I have 2 strong decoders (srt4663x and strong view4955) and i wanted to track intelsat 20 i first conected the dish to the 4663x receiver (though there is a diseqc switch inbetween) i was able to track intelsat20 12722h@26657...m/s and got upto 90% signal and 68-70% quality but the rest of the other frequencies remained at red (20% quality but up 89% signal) i even adjusted the alignment, azimuth and skew of the dish and lnb but no improvement. I switched the decoder to 4955 and this one was even the worst, signal was up to 90 but quality was 0% (i dont know if the unit is defective). the main transponder i want to receive is 12562h@30000ms, i want to also know if 4663x doesnt support this tp. Thanks very much.

4663x cannot view most TPs on intelsat IS20 as they moved to mpeg 4663x is mpeg 2 so you should upgrade

No wonder! You've been using the lowest type of IPS screen (720p) on your infinix, not the FHD (1080p) on the Redmi phones, that's why you give AMOLED so much consideration.

My Redmi Note 8 is my first phone that doesn't come with AMOLED, from Galaxy S4 to S7 personally owned, although I've handle the Galaxy S8 to S10, but not personally owned. I guess some of the mentioned phone above would have better AMOLED display than Samsung mid-range phone considering the fact they are flagship

See! The beauty of AMOLED doesn't freak me anymore. I'm used to it. Performance and multi-tasking is my utmost priority over screen beauty, provided that the price is right. Every specs (except the screen type) in the A51, the RN9s have better, e.g the Corning gorilla glass, yet the RN9s is almost 30k cheaper

You think if the A50 used IPS/LCD it wouldn't be as cheap as the RN9s?

See the extra 30k as the price for the screen.

Aside the screen, one UI is on of the best custom skins on android.

There are preferences for different persons, all round Samsung has it for me

The Galaxy A51 is easily the best phone among all these, don’t let anyone deceive you with cap. It also has a much better camera than the other two.
If you want strong battery, go for the M31, but note that it is a downgrade in almost every other aspect.
As for the Redmi Note 9S, I haven’t used it, but I have used the Redmi Note 9 Pro...it’s an okay phone, but if you have ever seen the screen of a Samsung, you’ll never want to use an LCD Redmi in your life. That LCD panel almost irritates me nowadays.

If you have the money, go for Galaxy A51. If you want battery, go for M31. If you don’t have enough money, go for Redmi Note 9S.

I use the Galaxy A50 and bro, the phone is COMPLETE!!

Coming from an infinix hot s,I pray make God dey help me never to go back to IPS/LCD again!!!

I snap picture send for my friend, I no fit laugh...

Display is one reason I don't fancy the iphone.

Peeps be screaming Samsung phones are expensive, when I bring out my phone and a phone without AMOLED is brought out too,the difference is crystal clear.

Amoled cost but it's a beauty to behold

Wow, I really love her, everything was going on fine, I would have rounded up from uni but Corona kept me home, we visited each other, planned together, I was even raising money for a wedding in December before going back to school if school will eventually resume, I see don't know what happened, just started been cold towards me, picks her call anytime she wants, no more visits, I still don even go beg today, she nor even collect the gift wey I buy
I really love her

Guy I beg you in the name of whatever you believe in,DON'T beg her again.

You truly love her,no qualms but don't stop so low again!

She already made up her mind, she's obviously seeing someone else now and would want to come back when things go south and then again, don't accept her when she comes back, you can keep her "close" for knacks sha.

My ex has been messaging me and telling me how she misses me and has been calling incessantly but I know she doesn't miss me,she only misses the assistance I give her;if school resumes now it will be as we were.

We were really in love, dated for 2years + but things turned sour, I saw signs but bluffed it even when she openly told me she needed a break.

You no dey quick forgive bro. The truth is my gear hasn't arrived from China yet so I haven't been able to experiment on the Nilesat quest. Also, I didn't say that I would nail the bird for certain ; I simply didn't agree to not trying at all. Please be a brother and answer my questions. I've been researching on FTA since last month and several grey areas exist. Like why is astra 28.2E that host the BBC freesat not receivable in Nigeria but MYtv on the same satellite is receivable.

Forgive and answer my questions bro

They're obviously not on the same beam?

Should be withington 18-22k but it's almost not worth it,go for a bigger size instead, there are almost no goodies in small dishes again

I can't say on all authority that it can be combined (although I think it should be possible to combine since their difference with Nigcomsat is 3 degrees). But in the meantime if you want to nail it, just pull your the dish slightly downwards (say less than 2cm) from the Nigcomsat position and you'll hit it.

@Ojolfc you may want to try placing the lnb on the 42e to see if it's possible to nail it

I don't mean to kill the optimism but due to the low signal of Nigcomsat in recent times, trying to nail both with one lnb my be disastrous for the Nigcomsat and not all TPs would pop out for the TSTV...hopefully they don't disappear again as usual.

Good day to you all...
What is the easiest way to track this sitelite
Intelsat 33e at 60.0°E
And the dish size. Saw it on lyngsat and I love those channels on this sitelite. Gurus in the house help me out.

1.8m would do provided you're in Nigeria, you're lnb would also require a di-electric plate.

Remember R=V,L=H....good luck

gudam bosses, pls is there any good booster..amplifier apart frm alcad booster..i recently setup this streetcable something and am thinking of best boosters in the business..thnks

There a better and more expensive Alcad boosters, you could try televes or blusen.

There's this Alcad with one led (amber/yellow colour) and not the traditional 2 led type (green colour),get that one note they all have 1 out and 4 ins. You only need this for your control room and then use the traditional Alcad for distribution ( 1 in,2 out)

The Televes is clearly metal and heavier too (unlike the Alcad) but the blusen is similar to the Alcad.

Any booster that's >42dB or above can serve you well

I don't have pictures, would have made them easy
