sageb: I'm from Orashi (Rivers State). A few years ago, being a native of an oil producing state gives you an edge but the whole process has been sabotaged by corrupt red-cap wearing chiefs and money driven Youth Association executives. This was partly the reason I wanted to study PE...I'm regretting the whole thing already! |

I'm in my finals studying Petroleum Engineering and the comments I'm seeing here is nothing short of depressing. I really had to learn some things the hard way. I have one little advice for aspirants here: DON'T STUDY PETROLEUM ENGINEERING AS FIRST DEGREE!!! The future if the oil industry is bleak, getting a job comes with a good pay and all but the field is too streamlined so there's barely a job for 3/10th of Petroleum Engineering graduates; mechanical engineers are getting the jobs. As a PE, you can't get a job in ME but a ME can easily get a job in PE. 3 Likes |

DMerciful: I agree with you, I mean; the 1999 constitution was drafted by power-hungry, military tribalistic i.diots. The judiciary isn't helping either, the interpretation of the constitution and exploitation of its never-ending loopholes pains me so much. WE NEED A NEW CONSTITUTION that will not be drafted by a delegated few if not we keep going round in circles again. 2 Likes 1 Share |

dlollyboi: The jump in price of these materials surprises me. 4x1 diseqc is #500 while 8x1 is over 2k, same thing goes for splitter and lnb...the price to pay for the extra 4 or 2 ports is always exponential. Is this down to retailers being retailers or what...it's really painful. |

Sports / Re: Are Non-african Professional Footballers Really Innocent Of Age Fraud? by ben1daEbiri(m): 5:08pm On Dec 16, 2020 |
I agree with most of your points but saying players jog around and only run when there's a counter attack is really wrong. Bro,you can't jog for 45mins straight, talk more of when you have the ball and is tasked with making every move you make count for your team, the level of intelligence needed in football is quite not talked about;you have an idea in your head but can you execute under pressure? These pro players are expected to so this week in week out and believe me it's tasking. The Nigerian league is more energy demanded than almost all top European leagues in the world but that's not even talked about too. Yes,pro players have the best of everything they need but not rule out football to be an easy sport,if you play a high intensity game for 30mins believe me you'll burn out. As a winger or full back, making overlapping runs to get in crosses and return to defensive duties if your opponent is on the counter is no easy feat,do this 3 times in a half alone and you'll know the sport is not just about jogging and taking huge wages. 3 Likes |
