are you Ijaw? your name is a familiar one.

I'm from Orashi (Rivers State).

A few years ago, being a native of an oil producing state gives you an edge but the whole process has been sabotaged by corrupt red-cap wearing chiefs and money driven Youth Association executives. This was partly the reason I wanted to study PE...I'm regretting the whole thing already!

It seems we have decided never to be good or help ourselves. No system can be good if we don't want to

And there lies the problem, the current system we have bow could work to some extent (if they wanted it to) but they made a mess of the whole thing.

I'm in my finals studying Petroleum Engineering and the comments I'm seeing here is nothing short of depressing.

I really had to learn some things the hard way. I have one little advice for aspirants here: DON'T STUDY PETROLEUM ENGINEERING AS FIRST DEGREE!!!

The future if the oil industry is bleak, getting a job comes with a good pay and all but the field is too streamlined so there's barely a job for 3/10th of Petroleum Engineering graduates; mechanical engineers are getting the jobs. As a PE, you can't get a job in ME but a ME can easily get a job in PE.

Yes! That's how the pre-independence constitution was gotten. The people of all ethnic nationalities elects delegates to a sovereign national conference where resolutions are made and through a referendum by everyone, it is adopted as the constitution

The delegate system isn't helping...a few dollar stacks changes everything. The delegate system was part of the many reasons why confab 2014 stalled.

The entire 1999 constitution should be scrapped and a new people's constitution based on a sovereign national conference be put in place

I agree with you, I mean; the 1999 constitution was drafted by power-hungry, military tribalistic i.diots.

The judiciary isn't helping either, the interpretation of the constitution and exploitation of its never-ending loopholes pains me so much.

WE NEED A NEW CONSTITUTION that will not be drafted by a delegated few if not we keep going round in circles again.

Please I need suggestions and advice on any suitable submersible pump that I can use to pump water from a borehole to a 25ft level above the surface.

The power rating, brand and cost will suffice.

Alaba or arena, oshodi

The jump in price of these materials surprises me. 4x1 diseqc is #500 while 8x1 is over 2k, same thing goes for splitter and lnb...the price to pay for the extra 4 or 2 ports is always exponential.

Is this down to retailers being retailers or what...it's really painful.

Increase your signal

11050H30000 is 79% and mytv tp but it scans tstv channels instead, has anyone rescanned this tp?

The software is dated as far back as 2014,does anyone have a newer software since it could be a software related issue

SRT 4940 is H.264.

Those MyTv channels could probably be H.265.
But I am surprised that you could get TSTV with SRT 4940 as most if not all are H265 content.

As expected it scans it as radio channel which is understandable but scanning tstv channels at 11050H30000 which is mytv tp is really confusing.

I will give it out soon as the spirit leads. The touch sensor is cracked but operates well with no issues. costs about 50k to replace it.

Whenever the spirit directs me, I can waybill it to any location in Nigeria to any Nairalander.

Not necessarily the hardship though but the trauma, imagine being sentenced to death for a crime you didn't commit and then having to spend over 30yrs awaiting your death?

Na another means of looting Nigerians again be this ...you will pay subscription fee,you will pay extra PVR fees for explorer , you will then pay access fees to access these apps ,and on top that, you will still need to have internet connection before you can view it .....is this not broad day light robbery ?

That's why the sales explora ultra decoder failed even in SA. Multichoice knows streaming services are taking over so they had to innovate but I can't pay for low quality TV services (safe for football) and still need data to stream YouTube, why not make it an all in one?

Only in Nigeria do people still watch dstv hanging the dish outside your home is a sign of bigmanizim in Nigeria. Lol

In the developed world now people use TV box or other online platforms eg, Netflix and the rest

Nigerians una must get sense by force start asking questions and start demanding answers

After 60yrs no cheap WiFi Internet

Airtel and mtn still they use una play ping pong

Why do you think when Nigerians go abroad they always refuse to return, abroad life sweet because you have basic amenities

Sky and BT don't use dishes un the UK? Bro say what you know abeg. I don't support DSTV ripping Nigerians off but don't say what you aren't sure off.
Most pay-TV providers in Europe still use the dish standard.

Sports / Re: Are Non-african Professional Footballers Really Innocent Of Age Fraud? by ben1daEbiri(m): 5:08pm On Dec 16, 2020
I agree with most of your points but saying players jog around and only run when there's a counter attack is really wrong. Bro,you can't jog for 45mins straight, talk more of when you have the ball and is tasked with making every move you make count for your team, the level of intelligence needed in football is quite not talked about;you have an idea in your head but can you execute under pressure?

These pro players are expected to so this week in week out and believe me it's tasking.
The Nigerian league is more energy demanded than almost all top European leagues in the world but that's not even talked about too.

Yes,pro players have the best of everything they need but not rule out football to be an easy sport,if you play a high intensity game for 30mins believe me you'll burn out. As a winger or full back, making overlapping runs to get in crosses and return to defensive duties if your opponent is on the counter is no easy feat,do this 3 times in a half alone and you'll know the sport is not just about jogging and taking huge wages.
