please which veriety of cucumber sells better in portharcort, so that I won't plant the wrong one

deformed fruits can be the results of pollination problems,I read an article that said cukes female flower must be visited by bees for a minimum of ten times to produce perfect shape fruits,seems you have shortage of bees in that farm,stop using insecticide for the meantime let's see if the bees will come back.

seems you don't have plans to stake the crops,very very poor yield if you don't stake cucumbers, don't worth it,if half of that land is staked,it will yield more than the whole land unstaked.

well farmers here in Jos don't stake....... And the yield is always good........ No bamboo around.....

Assuming the birds produce 1 egg per day, lets say 3200 birds *30days/30 (crate) and you sell each crate for 600, so 3200*600 =1.9 M*12 ~~ 23M in one year if we assuming running cost and feed for the year to be 5M +7.5M spent the OP should see a profit of at least 8-11M in one year, that assuming everything goes as planned and he can sell the birds when they reach maturity 3000*1000 = 3M

So the maths adds up, remember there are 3k5 birds but i used 3k2 deliberately and foe reselling of birds i used 3k instead of 3k5.

poultry money can not be calculated like this.... ur calculation is based on 90% productivity....... my bro you can never get 80% for up to a month, you forgot factors like sicknes(which is like every month) treatment reduces productivity, even weather (a rainy day can just reduce their productivity), noise from generators can even affect productivity..... ....i have bn into it for over 15 years....... am not saying Op won't make profit but not the way you think

don't mind him jare... 7.5m can never raise a 300,000 birds! Never! like he said, he's a consultant, I bet he's not an Animal Scientist, neither did he ever venture into Layer birds Egg production.

may b he is a vetinary nurse....... 300, 000 will cost over 100million. if you already have a space for birds,1.4million will raise 1k birds......... so do the maths

Obviously, you dont know what you are talking about or rather you have lost touch with whats going on in this field. Going by what you stated here, 300, 000 chicks with 7.5 million is absolute nonsense. How do you think a chick cost? how much do either rent or buy pen houses? what about feeding cost which is very high these days. The guy is on the right track and he needs encouragement. I hate it when I see folks ascribing what they are not to themselves and spewing rubbish. Do you even think it's easy to float a business of that amount in this present economy and yet all you can do is to state things that are not grounded with facts. Guy, quote me any time, it is not possible for you to raise 12,000 point of lay with 7.5 million not to talk of the 300,000 birds as you have stated.

7.5m is not too much for 3500 birds....... 2m can't bring up 1k birds to laying point if you have to get a space from the money ..........cost of poultry,even if you compound your feed

I supplied 800 creates of egg ystday at the rate of 850..... egg business is a good business,but this business is currently dominated by women who over time have gained experience in the business... for us as young ppl to brake into the the market we have to take advantage of our accessibility to information......... egg price is not stable,so your ability to know the current price at all time gives you an edge .............

I have been into egg supply business for over a decade now, I supply jos egg to Abuja, Taraba, bauchi, and other nothern states.......this thread is aimed at building a network of egg supply, such that people interested in the business can ask questions and also people already in the business can get price update as egg price is not stable..... however honesty will be our watch word................am going to write a summary of the state of egg business at the moment based on the purchase and selling price
