CelebritiesRe: I Will Return To South-East If Nigeria Splits - Onyeka Onwenu Speaks by BENARI:
Every Igbo son and daughter have it in thier DNA that someday, they'll have to return home, or at the very least, have a country of thier own. The Nigeria state has unfortunately, by its marginalisation practice, further entrenched that awareness in them. The Igbos don't believe in Nigeria. Of the thousands, relocating from Nigeria each year, as many as 70% are Igbos. Someday this diaspora will come together and work through the governments of the respective countries they live in to actually thier central dream.

The Igbos are not the only ones who don't believe in Nigeria. The Yorubas don't either. But for some reason, the yoruba nation finds itself in a vantage position in the Nigeria project, not by design, but by providence. Lagos as the former federal capital, commercial centre, and major port city, has brought lots of good and opportunity to the yoruba nation. Just like the Igbos they do not feel Nigerian at heart, but they cherish the vantage position providence has placed them, and so they are not in as much a hurry as the Igbos to see the disintegration of the Nigerian state, although they'll gladly welcome it if it happens. This reality plays out even in politics for the yoruba nation, where they've often enjoyed the patronage of the North at the expense of the rest of the south and middle belt.
All it takes to awake the true state of mind of the yoruba nation about Nigeria, is to deny them any or all of the privileges they enjoy for a protracted amount of time. Then you'd see just how much they are invested in the Nigeria project. But I guess you can pretty much say the same thing about virtually all regions in Nigeria, including the powers that be; the hausa fulani. Yes, even they have at different times voiced a willingness, albeit hypocritical, to exit the state because thier interest was threatened when the man at the centre was from the south. The only difference in thier case though, is that they often get whatever they want when they bark which I find mystifying.

All in all, I think Nigeria is a scam, a no man's grain field, where everyone goes to reap with no intention of sowing back. The most power group of reapers keep taking most of the grains and have mounted guards to prevent other reapers from coming in, allowing them gather only as much. The most powerful reapers have turned the no man's field into a bargaining chip in getting whatever it wants. Someday though, the field will no longer yield grains because it was cultivated. Then both the powerful reapers, thier guards, and all the other less powerful reapers will have to individually go seek for another field, or begin cultivating thier own. That's my picture of Nigeria. I stand to be corrected.

There've numerous such sightings and encounters. We are not alone in this vast universe. Whoever thinks we are alone is very myopic.

Oshiomole knows how to handle Edo north I trust him.

One Man saw through it all.

"The choice before Nigerians in the coming elections is simple: A choice between going forward or going backwards; between the new ways and the old ways; between freedom and repression; between a record of visible achievements and beneficial reforms-and desperate power-seekers with empty promises."

~ Goodluck Jonathan, 19th February, 2015.
I wish Jonathan actually thought out those words himself. He would not have lost the election. But no, those are not just the writings, but the thought of his script writer.
CrimeRe: Bandits Kill DPO & Inspector In Sokoto, Kidnap Wives Of Prominent Businessman by BENARI: 6:29pm On Sep 17, 2020
Who engineered the renaming of boko haram to fulani herdsmen, and now bandits deserves an award. The engineer succeeded in making the government and people take them less seriously while the spread and inflict maximum damage.

If I'm lying, tell me honestly in the order of national security which is more dangerous; bandits or ipob?

I can only shake my head for Nigeria. This is no country, this is a shothole.

Boko haram has overran the country as was warned. The government is just to embarrassed and insensitive to admit it. Nigeria's highways are now shooting ranges for the terrorists, and thier targets; helpless Nigerian Citizens.

It will all end in an expression of shock. Life goes on.
PoliticsRe: Who In Nigeria Fits Into The Ideal Presidential Personality We Need In 2023? by BENARI: 12:29pm On Aug 29, 2020
Johnjnr:
In resent months, the Nigerian political space has been filled with debates of who becomes the president of the federal republic.

Nigeria being a multi ethnic and religious state, a lot debate has been raised on who inherits the aso rock villa from president buhari spanning from persons from different regions, ethnic and religious background.

A section of a political school of thought has also insisted on a youth president, as being the solution to the country's problem with names like sowore and fela durotoye commonly mentioned among others.

Different politicians spanning across different ethnic, regional political affiliation have been mentioned from the north in the persons of el rufai and zulum to the southern part of the country with household names like Ahmed tinubu, yemi osinbajo, peter obi, rotimi amaechi, ngozi okonjo-iweala, nyesom wike, orji uzo kalu e.t.c.

As a Nigerian who do you think possesses the ideal personality, charisma and track record to best become the president of Nigeria, and what are those traits.
When was the last time in Nigeria's history any political leader at any level at all, let alone president emerge from your kind of calculus. A beg Bro no waste your imagination and our own. For all I care, any idiot could wind up becoming Nigeria's president even if he can't write his name, or even if he's got dementia or stroke. All he needs is enough stolen wealth to share among the polithiefcians and head of security agencies.
