Am having this same issue too of stick throat, after visiting different general hospitals and private hospitals, I decided to Google myself. I did endoscopy and discovered am having erosive esophagitis grade B.. My throat is very red.. I used boiled ginger, put little lemon and honey which I drink daily. Avoid the 1st generation BMW x3 especially 2003 to 2006. After more than 15 years of production, a lot of parts are prone to failure.
I have owned a 2012 x3 since 2015. It has been a reliable fun to drive machine. One major reason i love my car is that it's not common.
Aside routine servicing which i do twice a year, the major parts i have changed the past 5 years are ac compressor/condenser. Being a car that is driven on terrible Lagos roads, I have also had to change both front and rear shocks, lower arm bushings, stabilizer linkages and bushings, wheel speed sensors and other leg parts that are prone to wear and tear.
Parts are readily available at Ojekunle street Ladipo. Both new and tokunbo.
I drive from Lagos to the East at least twice every year to visit my parents and i have never had any breakdown.
My advice, if you want to be different, if you want to experience real driving pleasure, pls go for it. You won't have any regrets.

Thanks Brother for this info. I'm seriously considering getting myself the same car, ie bmw x3 2012 model, haven used an x5 for 2005 for 5 years now. However, my worry is part availability, cost compared to my x5, and can it withstand daily hustling commute?

Kigali is expensive, yeah i mean very expensive. I came in last week Saturday, arrived at the Manor hotel and later left for Ikaze B&B hotel. The room I lodged at the manor hotel with my friends is $150 per night. You can’t even compare it to a 4 star hotel in Nigeria. Very wack service. Housing is very expensive. Me and my guys rented a 4 bedroom semi detached duplex in Umucyo estate for $1,000 per month that’s like 1 million RWF, so we paid $2,000 total ( 1 month caution fee) I know d stress we went through b4 seeing a landlord willing to collect 1 month rent. Most houses here don’t even have AC, their taxi is expensive. Yegocars or so is like Uber. Very expensive, data is expensive 10,000 RWF for 12GB on 4G damnnn. What I only like is their ladies haha, big bummmmm �

Rwanda is a beautiful and lovely country but if you don't have money, DO NOT GO THERE. Not even to hustle.
Just very good for vacation or holiday.

Enjoyed my vacation there to the fullest and plan to go back for holiday sometime next year.

Compared to lagos, Rwanda is a Lil bit more expensive, but nothing extraordinary.

Their locals are very friendly.
