I'm sorry about my words, I absolutely didnt mean them to sound insultive to ypu personally, my apologies. I was only just trying to emphasise the problem about youths not rising to the occasion but rather sitting back and complaining.

In my opinion I think the problem really isnt the old folks not relinquishing power, the problem is the youths not rising up, uniting, seizing the opportunities and taking power.
You are right

A cry-cry baby only knows how to do one thing, i.e. to CRY. A lot of Nigerian youths are just cry babies and unfortunately, you sound exactly like them.

You are in a competition with an opponent and you sit back and expect the opponent to just carry the prize and give to you?.... Or you think by calling the older generation unprintable names and wishing them death, the prize would be handed over to you?.... What a weird and amusing sense of entitlement.

Do you think those other countries of the world where youths hold sway, do you think the youths sat down behind computers wailing and then the oldies handedover power to them?.... Respect is not given, it is earned. Leadership is not given, it is taken; and for the youths to take over, a lot of homework needs to be done. Crying wouldn't bring that shift.

Nnamdi Kanu as an example may not exactly be a youth at over 45, but his rise to fame is an example of what happens when you show seriousness, remaon focused and refuse to get swayed in your campaigns.

You asked whether I will vote for you if you come out for an electoral post. NO I wouldnt vote you cos I dont know you and you cant expect me to simply just gollow you because you're young. When the odds are against you, you have to distinguish yourself in order to stand out, you have to put in a great deal of work to earn that trust.

Since a major power shift is what is desired (old - young), mega effort is required; for a youth to win an election in Nigeria, he needs to put in far more effort than an oldie needs to put in. But the big question is, 'where are the serious youths in Nigeria?'
I respect some of your points but it is not enough to start hurling some silent insults at me. I posted this topic for positive critisms. Its not enough to say I am a cry baby. I take exceptions to silent insults sir.

Power is not given, it is taken. Any youth who expects the older generation to handover power on a platter of gold is just a toddler, maybe not a toddler appearance, but a youth with a suckling toddler mentality. And guess what, most of the youths in Nigeria still fall in this category, hence why they still sit back, fold their hands and cry whilst expecting the old dudes to handover power just like that.
How can the youths take power when the old and evil elite have hijacked all available resources there are ?

How can the youths take power when the system in place is one that is created by the corrupt old people ?

How can the youths take power when they are disunited and hungry. Would a hungry man fight against a well fed man and win ? When we rise and say enough is enough, that's when the old corrupt politicians go through the back door and send every military and paramilitary arsenal against us. What will you do then ?

How can we take power when we don't have a common voice? If I start a common movement now and say you should join up forces with me, will you come ? Will you make sacrifices. If at my age, (less than 40 by the way) I come out for and electoral post, will you vote me ?

My brother, our system has failed us and is still failing us.... And the problem is bigger than we think. Until these old vegetables start dying and leave us alone, we might have to tell our kids that they are the leaders of tomorrow or even their own children...

It is a pity.
PoliticsThe Youths Of Nigeria Are Not The Leaders Of Tomorrow by bencarson007(op): 7:52am On Jul 14, 2017
True meaning of children are the leaders of tomorrow is in this picture... And lest I forget Justin Trudeau the current prime minister of canada who is also in the picture below, was the same child that presented a flower bouquet to Yakubu Gowon during his state visit to Canada in 1973. He was barely 4years old then... Today he is Canadian prime minister at 44years while Gowon and his ilk still have a strong hold on Nigerian political scene and form opinions here and there on issues that should be left to the current generation to deal with. The old politicians we have in Nigeria, have kept on recycling themselves until they started imposing their sick selves on us like a certain somebody that is very sick in London right now with a private jet on standby wasting taxpayers' money (I no call person name o) and yet still refuse to relinguish power...
What a pity. And yet some foolish youths will still go around saying they will still vote a certain man even if he is brought back on a wheel-chair in 2019 (I no call name o). No be our mates dey lead world class countries so ?
Anyways let me come and be going before they send Daura Secret Service (DSS) after me...
Good Morning Naija

Vanguard should stop misleading people in the name of business or whatever that pushes them to do this.

This policy was made under Jonathan in 2014 and Buhari has not even touched it at all.

I pity people playing politics of religion and ethnicity. Nothing destroys places like wildfire like religion and ethnicity politics.

When it starts, even the facilitators wont be able to quench it. Boko Haram, Al qeada, Al shubab, Biafra, etc are good examples. Even Ojukwu ran away when the problem got to the crescendo.
Jonathan saw the stupidity in the recommendation to scrap CRK and did not implement it... And by the way,to all of you screaming that Jonathan perfected it, since when has Buhari started to run a government of continuity from where GEJ stopped ?

When it comes to fraudulent population figures, you have to give it to the Ijaws.

Ijaws were 4million in 2006, 10million in 2010, 14million in 2014... now Ijaws claim to be 10% of Nigerian population.

But you cannot meet any random Ijaw person on the road like you meet the IGBO, Hausa, Yoruba or Efik/Ibibio.
Don't say what you don't know.
The average Ijaw man hardly speaks his language outside because they are a minority
Also, the rate at which the uneducated people reproduce, you won't even dare to compete with them
Now the ijaws are in Ondo,Delta, and majorly in Bayelsa and also in Rivers state and some of their communities are in Lagos oga....
So it is your government and their shoddy agendas that don't count them well... How many people are in the north if you subtract the cow and chicken and foreigners that they add to themselves.
What the north basically has is land mass and not population...
How many cities in the north are as busy as lagos or port harcourt or Delta...
Oga mind yourself o and please get your facts right... The Ijaws have population... Their not speaking their language outside much is not a yardstick for you to abuse their population figure

Dem go package am come back as usual, make him to spend like 4days and ship him off to UK for another 90days... All na to buy time until 2019. Even the north don't have much choice now than to pray he does not die because the men immediately after him are people that northerners don't want to hear their names.
Osinbajo - Yoruba - Tinubu houseboy
Saraki - Yoruba - Mafia -Buhari's match
Ekweremadu - Igbo - IPOB- hausa rather die than hear his name.
Tinubu - Yoruba- Ambitious Evil man
Obasanjo -Yoruba- praying for interim government with him as head.

So the northern power brokers, cabals and almajiris even have their own fear here because constitutionally, they are disadvantaged should PMB die.

I am a Niger Deltan and a true fan of democracy. I like your stand point and hard stance against these guys that insult GEJ. My own opinion is that GEJ should go and defend himself to show his gentlemanliness as he did when he conceeded defeat to this bad APC candidate Buhari. If GEJ does this, other past leaders like OBJ and co will be put in a difficult position. As for the harassment of his wife, that we Niger Delta youths are quiet doesn't mean we are fools. If they want to try her, the courts are there... All these media trials and DSS harassment is getting annoying.

Car TalkRe: UBER Driving: Analyzing The Pros And The Cons, All You Need To Know by bencarson007(m): 8:24pm On Jul 06, 2017
Esseite:
Trust me... uber is not for the faint hearted...

My story....

My uber driver bailed on me after the reduction on fares..

Decided to drive it myself to see how it goes...
Got to the filling station, filled my car with N10,000

Activated the trip metre as i had registered myself finally the previous day.

Long story short...

At the end of the day
I had spent:
Fuel - N10,000
Car wash - N1,000 (after 14hrs driving, you can barely lift a sponge talk more of washing a car at 8pm or later)
Panadol - N200 (very important)(or to okada rider to you a path as the uber map are sometimes unreliable)
Toll gates to pick ups - N500
Feeding - N1000 (2 square)
I had been driving round lagos for 14hrs total..
An increased mileage of 135miles (est from lagos to benin).

I calculated my cost...
I service my car at 3000 miles with mobile 1.
@ 135 miles a day i should service approx every month. Which cost me 30k(6 ltr) with filter. And workmanship approx. (Note 3,000 miles is approx from lagos to portharcourt 6 times)

Divide that, approx 1k per day on service, my a/c was on all through, my engine was on virtually all through as uber kept linking trips before the previous ends.

Well.. i made almost 19k that day after exhausting the fuel to reserve.
But i had spent - N14,000 including service forcast. Excluding forcast repair major/minor

I had serious back pain and slimmed out in hours.. my linkages were worn out and i knew my a/c might fail at such pressures, talk more of the engine that adds approx 150miles every day coupled with exposure to dents.

I calculated my income after expense to know if it could buy another car before this one dies off. I had made just N5,000 assumed profit after 14hrs driving."God forbid" after 30% uber fee deduction on all fares..

I told my self the truth and appreciated the driver..

Its good yeah, but trust me, its not for the FAINT HEARTED with the current review.

A rider took me from lekki ph 1 to deep deep egbeda, the trip was N4,500 at 8pm (i was naive and never knew uber drivers call to reject trips). had to drive back to the island alone.. its was penny wise, pound foolish.

The snap shot above was for the old price, would rather drive a danfo bus or trailer than opt to drive uber now.
Good evening
Can you send me a PM let's discuss privately about this same transport business
My name is Oghenerukevwe Benjamin by the way

Being an illiterate is bad enough but not knowing that you are an illiterate is even worse and unacceptable.
Though, I'm not here to teach you basic English, let me spare some time.

Have - first and second person singular and plural, third person plural.

Has - third person singular.

"APC MEMBER" is a third person singular (only one MEMBER not more than one MEMBERS).
Hence, "has any APC member" is appropriate.
And indeed, other previously ignored grammatical blunders have been fixed to bring your illiteracy to bare.
Besides, stop hiding behind Pidgin.
